  1. I thought they were the same size
  2. Well, that would make a change from the crap that's usually on at christmas
  3. I sort of agree with Mr Hicks.Speed's colours are pretty good, but Rage is a disgusting colour scheme, but that goes with the whole park.Saw is perfect for the themeing, horrors are dark films, and I think they got it just right, well done Thorpe.
  4. Station looking good. Can't be long now till cars arrive.Still can't believe how big that station area is.
  5. I might try and get there for half term, as I live 30 mins from the park. Will get pictures.
  6. Entirely off topic, but lol at James' picture. On topic, well not a lot to say really. I do like the Lost city music as it should be. Amity Cove needs sorting out.
  7. I agree with James. I don't care about the themeing, just as long as the ride delivers a decent ride. All these pointless videos are getting on my nerves. I just want to ride the flippin' thing.
  8. You mean the one right on that sharp bend, after the 2'nd corkscrew? Yep, It gets me every time.
  9. Agreed. Oblivion is a worlds first, so we cant really mock it. Ok, it's short but things develop from the first type. unfortunatley, we can't do it here, as the height limit in the park would get in the way.
  10. Hmmmm. Might have to go back to Europa at some point then. This coaster looks amazing.
  11. Will RITA be down due to dismantling of the Corkscrew?Might try and get there for half term aswell as Thorpe. If I get my annual pass at Alton this year, will I have to renew it at Alton, or can I go to Thorpe and renew it there?Did'nt get one this year.
  12. Sorry to say but I agree with Air Dan.When I was in europe for a 2 week tour of their theme parks, not one of their rides were down, apart from 2 being built. The only time the big ones were down was due to Thunderstorms, which we saw plenty of, especially with Expedition G Force.Plus the themeing is a lot better over there.Just my opinion, so no sarcasm
  13. Looking at the picture, I hope the cars make it up that banked turn into the brakerun Great picture though.
  14. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fzkKO82nUeo
  15. Does anybody have the old Rocky Express music, as I have found a video of Corkscrew on youtube with the music.
  16. I live near Clarence Pier and Hayling Island, and prefer Hayling by a long way. It just seems a lot more friendly, and me and my Mum are good friends with the owners, and the rides are better, in my opinion.Best fair I have been to is the Fair du Tronne in Paris, exhilerating rides galore, with a 10 minute cycle on a KMG Afterburner, and with some fantasic coasters.
  17. Does anyone know when the Disciples of Saw competition winners will be announced?
  18. I managed 3 rides, the last ever right in the front, due to great timing in the queueline. The other two times I was in the back, as I love getting dragged round that corner into the straight first drop. It will be sad next year when there is a hole in the centre of Ug land. The question is, how much longer will Flamingoland's Corkscrew be there for?Was a good job that the other main coasters were open, and practically walk on, apart from Spinball Whizzer with a 20 minute queue :PThe highlight I think though was the restricted access area on Corkscrew that the staff opened up, it was the first time in 28 years guests have been allowed in that area. It was the area around the final bend before the brakes, under the first turn off the lift and the bend recovering riders from the two inversions.
  19. It was a good day, if a bit emotional. All rides that were open were running well, though I expected the park to be a lot busier.Wish weather had been kinder to us though.
  20. I suppose it has to be that big to accomidate the indoor section of the ride. Loooking good though.
  21. I'll be there too, to pay my respects to one of my favorite rides of all time.
