I missed out on it, but did see it in operation. Since then though, I have done Turbine at Walibi Belgium, exactly the same ride.

MChappie. Its saying the links you put on for the videos have been deleted .Anyway, I dont have many memories of the ride apart from one postcard. All I do know is that the cars were called Doom Buggies, these still run on the Phantom Manor/Haunted Mansion rides in the Disney parks and one ride in Europa Park, Germany called Ghost Castle, which is the closest to the Thorpe ride. There was a loop of music and talking that was played during the walk through section of the ride before the station which I have on tape.I know that I used to love this ride and it's sadly missed in my opinion. I know Thorpe would'nt be what is is now if the fire had'nt happened. I always stand by the loos opposite Detty and look across to where it used to be and have vague memories of Thorpe in the past.I also remember the Chandelier of skulls above the station, grasping dim lit candles. I don't know who was operating it on the sunday, but at least he tried with the singing . That is what makes the smaller rides more fun, he seemed to be having a great time there, and he spun us before the ride started, and we kept spinning till the end. White knuckle Teacups, WHOOOOHOOO

We have a very lazy, but mental cat called Amber. I have had a snake, 2 dogs, gerbils and stick insects. Now all I have is the resident house spiders running and breeding behind my video unit, until Mum kills them.

Ok, I have read Sebastian's reply, and have decided he's partly right. It is just a few members trying to put a point across. Ok, they might be going the wrong way about it. I have no problems with other clubs, forums ect. We only get like this at non club visits, obviously if we were on a club trip and Nev found about the behaviour of these un named members, action would be taken. The object of any club is to unite thrill seekers, young and old, give the parks, especially the smaller parks some publicity.I apologise now if members behavior caused uproar on sunday. I can assure you I wasn't involved. I just want to go there to have a good day out at a Theme Park, and a growing and sucsessful one at that.I just want to say Well done Thorpe, and apologies to Sebastian. Ooops, I posted, lol

Maybe they were fed up of the way the park is being run at the moment, with all this crap about the rip off new annual passes, no wonder I'm not renewing, and to be honest I'm fed up with the way one member on here is treating me, so cya, I won't be posting here again till I get treated like an adult. I don't see what your problem is. Our club is a very responsible group of coaster enthusiasts. Some of our members are in the ECC aswell. We are together for one thing, Rollercoasters, and not a load of bickering from one induvidual. Ok, I know you are entitled to your opinion, but we are all here to enjoy ourselves. I happen to be on several coaster forums.Oh, and Marc, there was noone from the RCCGB moaning in the queue at the gate, because we were altogether. Moan over

The music around Amity Cove today was really blaring out. A bit too loud at some points. The Inferno music was none stop today, through loading, dispatch and unloading. Good to hear the original music make a come back though.

Went there today, with about 18 other people from the Coaster club. Once the coasters had opened we had a great time. Not the best coaster in the park, but a good ride, especially going round that bend on your back and then rolling back straight into the tunnel.

Agreed! Ok, it's a Bog Standard, off the shelf ride, but they did very well with the themeing, a great effort.

For what Rita is, it's not such a bad ride. The launch, first turn are good and the Airtime on the first hill in the front seat is amazing. I prefer Stealth though.

TP Dan. I have ridden Winjas, both Force and Fear and they are a lot better than Dragon's Fury. But the Chessie version is better than Spinball and Whirlwind at Camelot.Ahhh you survived, pleeease, exit to the left

Wadler:A Giga coaster would be impressive, but think of the hole you would have to dig so it doesn't show above the trees.Personally I would love to see the woodie materialise.

I got hooked on Theme Parks when I went upside down for the first time at Eurodisney on Iniana Jones. I have'nt looked baack since, and I just love going upside down now on coasters and other rides.

Not too bothered about the States as their "has to be bigger and better" attitude really winds me up.I would love to see more of Europe, especially Italy and Spain.

I don't think Vampire will be going anywhere for a few years yet. If they thought it was going to be replaced, they might not have bothered with the Vekoma upgrade, but that's just my opinion.It's one of the main rides at the park, and the only coaster I can be bothered with.
