  4. Stealth Rollback, best ride ever, SRQ straight to the front row and a rollback Also had a very slow crawl over the top hat on StealthAlso an Evac off Valhalla at Blackpool, a few people got pictures as we were being walked out, we were just about to go down the reverse drop when the lights came on, and our boat full of Coaster clubbers started cheering, got exit pass.Last but not least, stuck at the top of the Big One, Blackpool for 20 minutes, what a great view Was hoping for an Evac, but did'nt happen.
  5. According to RCDB Colossus 98 ft 5 inchesNemesis Inferno 95 ft 2 inchesSaw 100ft Not sure about Detonator but I'll take Mr Hicks view on that, with 115 ft
  6. Nemesis theme, Hex, Air, Flume and the new Katanga Canyon theme. If anyone knows where I can find KC theme, can you post the link, thanks.
  7. *drooling* If this Airtime hill is anyting like Speed's, WAHEY
  8. The park itself was dead, but with only one train running on the big 3 coasters, the queues did build up a bit. Only Tidal Wave was shut on the day.
  9. I think Slammer is meant to be part of Lost City, not completly sure though.
  10. Another quickie from today.Ride countNemesis Inferno 2Colossus 1Samurai 4Loggers 2Rapids 1Rush 2X whats the point 1Stealth 8, including a rollback
  11. This deserves it's own mini site like Dylan. I know it's not a real coaster, but the tension is building as if it was. Can't wait to see the finished thing.

  13. I can answer part of that question. 2 reasons why wave may not make splash zone, weight of boat,(number of riders) and wind direction/strength.
  14. I thought the Roper's had moved, after they got stick for their pottery place (I think) in Stoke on Trent. I hate them too.Oblivion is ok, but not a frequent rider when I go to the park.
  15. Second best Rapids in the UK, after Drayton Manor's.
  16. To go with the Nemesis theme, I take it?
  17. The only real "Themed" rides at Blackpool are:Space InvaderAvalancheValhallaRiver CavesGold Mine
  18. Quick one from me.Have'nt been to Thorpe for a few months, used our £10.00 bounceback tickets today, and got more for next time.Park was about it's usual crowded self, with queues averaging 45-50 minutes. 2 breakdowns on Nemesis Inferno being the only real trouble.Good to get back there again, but not really happy with Rush today, such a short setting Ride count:Nemesis Inferno 4Stealth 3Rush 1Colossus 2Rapids 1Logger's Leap 1, and got drowned. Also good to see Dylan coming along nicely. And what is it with playing that bloody sugar puffs advert on the tv's in the queue for Inferno every 2 minutes did my head in

Well, what other launch options are there? Could do a flywheel launch like Thunderlooper used to do. How much power would that use?

Me and mates from the club go in there just to spot the new lightbulb This ride needs to go, and quick. The LSM would be a good result. Would this be the first park in the UK with 2 launch coasters?
  22. It used to make me jump when the fireball effect came on. It was very dramatic though. I think Tidal Wave's themeing has gone downhill.Anyway, back to topic. I don't think they could build a coaster that close to the entrance, especially a flier, due to the paths getting clogged up at the end of the day as it is, and I feel the coaster could make matters worse. Would be a good idea elsewhere in the park though.
  23. To be honest, hence the name, it was more suited to CWOA than Thorpe. How is the name "Samurai" linked to a lost city.

    Nemesis

I believe it was planned as part of the themeing for the ride. It gives it that more gorey feel to it, along with the freaky, but great music.
