  1. Drayton Manor has space issues? You can say that again.
  2. I'm pretty confident this Sealife will be successful. The plans look great and it fits in very well with Mutiny Bay, plus seeing the success of the CWoA one is making me optimistic about this one.I'm looking forward to the Sealife monorail train too, the front of it already looks nice and cute.
  3. I really don't think Drayton Manor needs a water park. I can see it being another leisure activity for the benefit of Tamworth residents, but if I was planning a trip to Drayton, I wouldn't spend an extra day to visit the Waterpark especially when Alton Towers have Cariba Creek. Same for the Hotel, which for me would essentially be to spread the journeys out over two days. Unless it's at a reasonable price I'd stick with the local B&B's or Travelodge. I think I'm going to take another trip up to Drayton Manor this year now London Midland trains have got their arse in gear and given Watford a direct / regular service to Tamworth. I'm hoping they will have improved the park since my last trip in 2007 but I'm gonna be pessimistic and expect it to be the same. I do rather like Drayton Manors zoo however, the parrot was cute! I have still yet to ride Pandemonium and Drunken Barrels too. I'll make it a weekday trip though, 1 hour queue for G-Force was awful. Now I'll stop because I'm waffling.

Another new attraction for Legoland in 2009!Bob the Builder 4D.A brief description of the films storyline here...In the movie, Bob the Builder™ and his friends demonstrate teamwork and follow-through as they learn the importance of starting each building project with a plan. Bob, along with his Can-Do Crew, are busy building a roller coaster. They build a model out of LEGO® DUPLO® bricks before starting work on the real roller coaster. When Spud the scarecrow embarks on his own building project, making a birdhouse without a plan, his creation falls apart. Spud learns firsthand that every job - big or small - starts with a plan. At the end of the day, everyone enjoys the new roller coaster and goes for a fantastic ride! The ride I presume will open sometime near the start of the season and joins the park to make a 3rd 4D movie, alongside Spellbreaker 4D and Lego Racers 4D.I think this is quite a fun little addition and is surely going to be a hit with kids. I can't help but think it would have been more welcome at Chessington though.
  5. Make sure you're about 15 minutes early, and allow extra time for delays etc. Just to add to whats been said, relax and have fun, if you're all tense and not getting into the swing of it and having a laugh it may lower your chances, but make sure you use good examples from your current job in the 1-to-1 interview, should help quite a bit.Asking questions is never a bad thing too.Good luck.

    My new desktop. Huzzah.
  7. Ahh you worded that rather differently to me on MSN. They called you and say that they will have to apply for a Child Worker Permit, but they didn't actually say they are going to? If I worked in HR I wouldn't even let you into an assessment if you were 10 mins late, let alone possibly employ for turning up 45 mins late .
  8. 7 to 14 days to respond and rejections are usually dealt with first. I heard back from Chessington on the 7th day but people are who were at my assessment are still waiting to hear back and it was 9 days ago now. Don't sweat your socks off just cos you haven't heard back; when it gets to the 15th day, its time to worry. I also know a few people who applied in December and still have yet to hear anything, these things take time, rejections are usually dealt with first so the longer it takes them is supposedly better.Waiting for Merlin to get back to you after an assessment is quite an anxious period I must say. Good luck
  9. Even though your train delay only counted for 5 minutes of your lateness
  10. James replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
You didn't need to react to it in the same way.
  11. James replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Yes but it's noticeable that you still do it. It's not exactly a civilised response is it. Especially telling him that if he thinks its crap why don't we see his, you've done an entire Thorpe recreation, how about we get to see that? You could have just given your opinion on it rather than being like that. Yes there is a downloadable pack somewhere on the net called RCT3 options editor, basically it allows you to build points in the track where it can merge and effectively make dual stations, however you'll only be able to use one of them cos the second one will have to be built as a different ride which you won't be able to run because the track isn't a complete circuit. That was quite a bit of waffling but hopefully you get the idea.

I guarantee if I had posted saying that coaster is crap you wouldn't have come down on me like that.

Rumour mixed with the truth. It had a lot of opposition from the locals due to it being noisy and it was visible over the tree line.
  14. Having to bring an item is stupid. Chessington assessments were sensible
  15. James replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Nah, got the bog standard automatic email, and said I can ring tomorrow if I want feedback - which I do. Damn them!
  16. James replied to Phill's topic in Nonsense
Well I was having a great day til Chessington rejected me

Yes theres certainly never been any discussion of Dragon Falls closing down on this forum
  19. They wouldn't be able to buy it, it has a public footpath through the middle of the Thorpe Waterski and Thorpe Park.
  20. Lol Will I'm guessing you're not too clued up on how infilling works are you? The ground is removed from one area next to a lake, and moved to create a land extension elsewhere. Also, flood into a lake?! How do you propose that happens The lake behind Nemesis Inferno is the Thorpe Waterski and doesn't belong to Merlin.
  21. Building over the water would be great but realisticly couldn't happen, especially a flying coaster over water because B&M will not build on water unless its a drainable pool (eg. the Hulk @ IOA.)They could also continue to infill but there is the problem that the water you infill, has to go somewhere else, and there aren't that many places around that they can flood, because the farm isn't particularly big and is an ideal storage space for stuff they don't need.
  22. Merlin attractions take 14 days to give you a yes or no.
  23. Thats a Travelodge and a pub!
  24. Okay we really need to sort this idea out, I know its only peoples ideas and stuff but Rameses Revenge is only going to be going to one place after CWOA - the scrap yard. As for Fungles space, I want a family ride and I don't care if the park is a thrills park, I still want one.
  25. Its still a good mile away according to the signs.
