  3. It's going up to the Colossus lift hill top motor. Well its not a motor but you know what I mean. I see Slammer top are off.Station looking good.
  4. Yeah last time I saw the station, it was only covered in a light shade of wood just around the walls, no theming.

As I said in my previous post, the loading music is different, and also awful

Yeahh well I enjoy posting geeky posts. Because I am indeed a freak geek :mellow:If you wanna get really specific it was originally composed for Colossos in Germany, Thorpe Park stole it and added trumpets.Dun dun dun!

Beware - Geeky post coming up! Partly correct, partly incorrect.Crackling speakers - Slammers speakers are not crackly, its only during one part of the loading track so its a duff mp3, not speakers, Samurai - the new speakers slightly crackle already, Stealths speakers are awful, too quiet, too loud, cuts in and out all the time, there are some speakers that are a tiny bit behind what the other speakers are playing so you get an awful echo. Tidal Wave WWTP speakers are on their way out. Rush's speakers are pretty awful, but they have taken a royal battering at the music it plays so they've done pretty well to have not exploded in everyones face by now.The Slammer music, the announcements were so much better, they built up tension better. The tracks used are O Verona from Romeo and Juliet which is used on Radio stations and X-Factor, the loading track was from Van Helsing. The new announcements sound crap, and I believe they are Lewis Cox's voice again, personally I think his voice sounded better when it was deep in the old soundtrack. The new stuff is all royalty free crap which they took off free music librarys on the internet and was not composed for the park. Type in 'Intense Suspense' and 'Long Dark Journey' on royaltyfreemusic.com and you will get the raising music and loading.Vortex had the track shuffled around a bit. The second half of the track is now the start of Colossus, rather than the dadadadada bit. Urr yah :mellow:The mechanical RCT3 SFX do not suit Vortex and the new ambience in the loading theme is pretty dull. It was better when it was Colossus station ambience with wind chimes.Plus the old voice suited the ride better.
  8. I've changed my mind, I'm gonna go.God indecisive much XD
  9. I think the novelty of a Saw ride has already worn off on me.
  10. What I would recommend to you AeRo would be the train from Aberdeen to London Kings Cross, its a grand total of 5 hours quicker than your drive, and possibly cheaper than 1200 miles worth of petrol.

Anyone interested on spending over £1600 on a front row car complete with restraints from Corkscrew can do so here!Auction ends on 12th December at 10am and proceeds will be donated towards the Merlin's Magic Wand childrens charity.Don't buy it as a replacement for your sofa however.
  13. Totally ignore the person whos birthday it actually is today then Matt :mellow:Happy Birthday Mr Denny!Have a cake.
  14. Okay well I've favoured going to Southend the week after rather than this trip so I'll see ya all at the meet up after. Have fun!
  15. Maybe rethink what we are doing and repost your original post explaining whats going to be happening. Plans all seem very unorganised at the moment.

I agree with most that. The animatronics are cool, its a shame that the little man that went up and down the rope doesn't work anymore though. The bit in the queue where the rattlesnake is was smelling rather nasty towards the end of the season, I think its just me but I personally thought that smell added to the theme quite well.
  17. And then you went and blew your AP savings on a Mac? Tut tut.Update on Thorpe Park annual passes, they are now available for students with a valid NUS card with a 10% discount, making them £62.69, if purchased on the day of your visit.

I keep accidently pinning myself on Detty from pulling the restraint down too quickly, then getting no air time at all >_>

Alternatively you could listen to the full thing here! :mellow:I hope they sort out the audio properly for 09. Get all the volume levels right, get rid of the dodgy crackling speakers, fix WWTP so there is no cutting out and no delays on different speakers, bring back the original Slammer, Vortex and Detonator themes and pow! Win for Thorpe.
  20. I'll go as long as we don't do more than 1 Merlin attraction.
