I have to agree the good old Legend of Rameses does need our love.Also just to include an improvement for this year is that Rameses now has some new restraints which are red in colour.

Not all the actors in the fright night mazes jump out at you actors are there to act out various scenes so therefore not just jumping out they might have them in the traps as you are walking through inside. And surely this would be the reason it is going to for 12+ just like the mazes? And due to contracts of staff, Thorpe and for the ride itself any information that is known must be kept to the member of staff etc. Therefore if people were to know information they will not be allowed to post it on forum unless Thorpe have released it already.

oh thanks for correcting me rich.That is probably why they can use them as good as they can because Rameses is a little button like from a fruit machine and has a 4 second delay. Also the fountains on Ripsaw are more powerful and faster.

Also just to add that Rameses Fountains are manual controlled with the delay. Where as Ripsaws are Automatic(correct if wrong).Also Ripsaw has the metal cover on the bottom where the micro switches are and Rameses has all of them pretty much open with no covering apart from the plastic boxes of them.

I might be wrong but I am pretty sure there are no behind the scenes on here. Yeah Merlin are very strict with things like that, so it is hard for staff when they have to bite their tounge lol. Seasonal staff are more likely to be on here as the parks dont bother as much with them as long as nothing out of term is said about the parks. As everyone on here are lovely people you can ask us anything and we will happily help.

The jobs for the season have all been filled at thorpe this year but keep looking as they will add jobs when they need staff. The entertainment positions are for returning Top Rockers staff so you wont be able to apply for that either.Currently Legoland are looking for rides staff and although not the same as Thorpe it will give you an idea of what working at a theme park is like. In answer to your question bubbly I dont think there are any members who work behind the scenes at Thorpe on the site as Merlin do not allow staff to post information etc on these sites. Therefore you are unlikely to find full time staff on here.

lol I didnt mean to operate I meant to ride, I wouldn't know what it is like to operate.It is going to be very hard to replace the 2 people they have lost one of them still gets recognised where ever they go even at the thorpe meet they were recognised by 4 groups of people with the normal hey you going back this year or the general he used to work at chessington its like being famous lol

Well Rameses wont be as good this year as 2 of the best people to ever operate this ride have left chessington for better things. The ride itself will still be good but the 2 operators that are not at chessington anymore will make for some upset guests riding it.Rameses is one of the best rides at chessington in my opinion either Rameses or Fury are the best rides within the park. I will have to wait and see if they replace 2 of the best operators with anyone good.

Well I aint in any pics, cos I hate them and I wasnt in the best of moods that day.This is probably down to no sleep the night before. I have to agree with the people running off was rather annoying and you need to think of the people, its not like you haven't all been on the rides before the main reason people went was because they wanted to meet people. The people I was with on the day were amazing (Rich,Chris,Holly and Sheepie) what legends.I might be attending the meet on 14th March but not sure yet. If I attend then I aim to be happier than this time as I will be getting some sleep lol. Thanks again everyone for making the day better and nandos was good when things settled down thanks guys.

Just thought I would add some good and bad news to this convo lolI am now coming well once mr simpson gets my pm lolgood news for some and bad for others (well most) lol. Look foward to seeing people again.

The 2 main causes of whiplash on Dodgems are Seatbelts and Head on Collisions. This is why the Chessington Dodgems have Lapbars and no head on collisions so therefore whiplash is highly unlikely to happen.The only reason Dare Devil Drivers was removed becuase of health and safety reasons was because a young lad dislcated his shoulder on the ride due to the poor Platforming of one of the attendants and if I remember correctly they also had seatbelts on themDodgems is by far one of the best rides at the park and I really hope they keep them after Beano goes.

In response to who lives in that house yes it is owned by chessington and in actual fact a family who works at chessington lived there until they had to be moved cos of subsidence of the property.Chessington owns a large ammount of land so therefore have loads of room to build the only thing is the green belt thing.

Well rather than see Saw why dont you wait for the trip where people plan to ride Saw if you can only go the once? (unless its same day not sure when Saw opens). That way it makes your day that extra bit special. As well as seeing all the wonderful people on here you can ride Saw wooohooo lol.

How can you forget that it was your mums bday? And although that Pleasure Beach have stated the rides that will be open over the season, Thorpe will never do this as things happen throughout the season. I mean last year they could of easily said Rush will be open this year and then look what happened!!! Thorpe will never give a final list until the day before as the engineers might find a problem with one of the rides or something might happen on that ride the day before. It's a basic turn up and expect the unexpected.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I think falls wasn't open on the first day of the normal season but was open the weekend before for the private events??

oh sorry is our little secret out about Beanoland lol. I would just like to apologise to everyone who saw lol. But Beanoland is awesome fun its ideal not only for families but for groups on a day out with dodgems and whizzer.

tbh I was mainly concerned on gettin it back on topic outfit.I think that if rodeo was to come back to chessington then they would have to retheme it because I did not like the american/red indian flag theme. Anyone else have any opinions?

What fairs would you find vortex,samurai and detonator????And woohooo rich finally something we agree on lol yeah rodeo would be the best comeback ever much better than take that or spice girls lol
