  1. it's probably not gonna 'take over' though, merlin say it's a 'game changer' but is that any different to the usual 'worlds first' 'next level fear' type of thing? I highly doubt VR is going to replace a traditional ride and theming for every new investment we see it's not like you have to use it either, you can ride without it.. at least in this case (with air) we're getting a slight spruce up so it's a win win in my eyes
  2. oh well in that case, this could be great
  3. am I right in thinking the video on VR is static? as in it's not gonna move left and right if you turn your head? (idk much about it at all) if so then isn't hex an odd ride to have it on considering being able to look around the room is what makes it so disorienting and your head movement isn't limited with any restraint?
  4. it does look a bit like what rct3 would do when you click the auto-finish button so excited to finally have one of these in a place I'm actually likely to be able to get to though is it likely to have a launch like stealth/ttd etc or is it lsm?
  5. surely it's a given that it will spin? would be a very odd layout if it didn't and after mack testing spinning cars on blue fire it looks crazy
  6. will most likely be 'let's go on the derren brown ride next'
  7. that just looks like a cheaper, bumpier & less fun intamin megalite
  8. is that a seperate new park or is it a new area in port adventura? Also won't that be europe's tallest coaster?
  9. think it was called flying frog last time I was there
  10. couldn't the 2 archway sections of the building have these in there? http://www.dynamicattractions.com/adventures/immersive-transporter/
  11. the ride system could still have been what they approached him with
  12. how am I meant to know where to look for the clues? I'm so confused, this one for me still says 'our next clue will be revealed in jan' or something
  13. do we usually get this amount of bitching over names of restaurants in merlin parks? the food arrives on a roller coaster.. roller coaster restaurant.. is it that big a deal?
  14. You could literally say that about any of the coasters that invert in both Alton & Thorpe, I think the Smiler's layout is actually one of the most interesting, I mean we at least get 2 bunny hops (and pretty much all the inversions in any of the parks) all in 1 ride! + the ride length is great, the only downside is the awful queue imo
  15. Probably because we don't know if that's actually going to happen, I hope it is..
  16. Sad to see it closed for a year as I really do like loggers hopefully they'll give it a bit of a clean, it has got a tad grubby
  17. where did these rumours come from??
  18. it does look alot nicer, I remember there being lots of happy fans on here when we saw that they'd used it for Saw the ride haha
  19. Just stumbled upon this pic on google can we take a moment to appreciate how great that looks
  20. Just a thought but surely if this is merlin's biggest investment yet then we must be getting some kind of awesome advanced ride system in there? I mean the building obviously didn't cost much and it's not on infilled land or anything so what else could this huge price tag be for? Unless the walls are gonna be made of golden bricks or they're genetically engineering a Derren clone to permenantly host the ride
  21. The whole 'most expensive investment yet' thing is kinda exciting until you see the size of the building, no matter how high the quality is I just don't see how anything that good and worthwhile will fit in there.. Gonna keep my hopes up though
  22. Envy anyone on park in this fog
  23. Yeah it had the longest queue out of all the mazes everytime I checked on the 17th lol
