  1. I shall most likely be going on this meet now.

    Doctor Who

To be honest, for me personally, I have found this to be the first episode of the series I've actually liked. I'm still not keen on Smith as the new doctor, he seems a bit of a Tennant impersonator to me. Next week's episode seems very much like one from a couple of series ago - where they were trapped on the ship and met the 'devil-like' creature - was that 'The Beast Below'? Then again, everyone has their own opinions!

    Doctor Who

Well, this week's episode was for me the best of the series. In fact, I'd go as far to say it's in the same league as Blink and the 'Are you my mummy?' (don't know the name ) episodes. When the 'Dream Lord' said congratulations, I thought it was a weak ending, but then the real ending was much better! Everything worked well and it was quite a creepy story line. As I said, one of the best episodes.
  4. I know! 4 days after my last exam I'm off to AT! Oh wait, there's a topic for that.. I think I shall also be planning a trip to Chessie over the Halloween event. From reviews I've heard from previous years - as well as this year's excellent form, it's gotta be worth a visit!
  5. I'll be going at some point in the May/June half term, then going a couple of weeks later after my exams have finished - so probably last week of June. Absolutely can't wait!
  6. My half term trip is looking much more exciting now. :unsure:Also, with the Unlimited Photo downloads, does that mean you can get as many as possible at Chessie for £20, then still use for £4 a photo at all the other parks?
  7. Lucky sods.. . Inset day I take?I'll be at school - writing an RE exam. My plans are tomorrow as a maybe, and 1-2 trips over half term. Also considering June 7th - start of study leave and no exam!
  8. I heard it on Bank Holiday Monday, so..

Yeah. That photo is an understatement.
  10. You know you're a fanperson when:You know more about the rides than the staff do.You have theme park music on your computer / phone / iPod / etc.You sing along / hum along to all the music at parks.
  11. You've disappeared again! :'( lol

  12. Looks like Cameron will be PM soon...
  13. I see where you're coming from and I completely agree. One was I see the resolve that matter is to have the entire queue outside (like Alive), but then that spoils the idea of it slightly. I personally think a dark ride would be excellent for the park's portfolio. With their constant improvements to effects and theming, the park are beginning to show the effort they can make into an experience. The thing is, I don't want in the MHFS spot. To me, I see that more as an opportunity to have a flat which could use the opportunity to have some interactivity with some of the tree landscaping - it is something that the park also needs.
  14. Basically, it feels strange not saying on a regular basis that rides are down and being unreliable. It was a tongue in cheek comment which failed basically.. XD
  15. I regret to announce that Stealth has broken down. A friend of mine was on park today and it failed to open. Along with this, Saw had many problems, opening after midday and have many breakdowns and Rush closed at about 11 after only operating on 1 swing.I miss posting things like this. Just a shame this isn't true...
  16. If it hadn't of burnt down, it would have been knocked down a couple of years later..MHFS will probably have a flat if I'm honest. Can't see the park wanting to stick a dark ride there..
  17. Mr Brown has resigned as as Labour leader. Well, that has come as bit of a surprise to me - though his reasoning behind it (a hung parliament to cut it short) is fair. I'm surprised he stayed in as long as he did with the media's constant blows..

It's also rare to have an extreme case of neurofibromatosis, but I wouldn't feel lucky to have it.

Who's to say a four leaf clover is lucky?
  20. I feel very sorry for you. Hope there's some way you could enjoy your birthday on another day - even though it doesn't feel the same. Time for another one of my rants now... *Warning - the following rant features quotes from Facebook and a very annoyed writer (aka ME!)* As I've said on this forum a couple of times, I've got an annoying 'cousin' - as in my uncle's fiancée's adopted daughter. After a series of events (check page 54 if you forgot ), I started regarding her as a 'family acquaintance' (which I've always seen as the truth) as opposed to my cousin; which I regarded her as when she first moved to my school. Well, in light of the recent election, many of my statuses on Facebook have been politically based - anyone who has me on FB as probably seen them . On my one on Thursday night regarding the exit poll, a couple of people commented - mainly due to the fact they were shocked by the Lib Dem results. When one said they reflected nothing of the real result, I simply stated how they were from people asked after they voted and gave figures. Well, after that, my 'cousin' feels the need to say ''ooo look evry 1 a big nerd convosation evry 1 put in your ear plugs''. Now, I saw that as unnecessary and pretty childish. It wasn't nerdy, it was giving a damn about this country's politics. However, I let it slide. However, it doesn't end there as yesterday it started up again - mainly about the talks of a Tory-Lib Dem alliance., and after a bit of joking about the Scottish, it ends with ''Sorted''. Well, my 'cousin' feels the need to state "thank god its over jks" this morning. Despite the fact she was on last night, she needed to say it this morning. I then say, rather fairly in my eyes, "If you didn't want to be involved and be notificated, why did you comment?" To which she, rather rudely, replies: "dont no I was borad is that such a crime now well u r a nerd and I never called any 1 a geek I called u a near theres a diffrants if u didnt no and yes I'm a bitch if thats wat your trying to say nicely". Such an over-reaction and incredibly childish. Now, not many people on here know this, but I'm not one to swear. I wouldn't call anyone a b!tch - heck, I don't even say the flipping word! Granted, I think she's annoying and childish, but I don't go as far to call, nor imply, that anyone is a b!tch. She may not have known me for long, but that's one of the first things I'd like to think people would know about me when they get to know me. Anyway, that really started to get on my nerves. If I'm honest, this is some of my rudest comments coming up, and I did have to think for a while before posting these next couple of comments. So, I've replied by saying: "NAME. All I said was if you didn't want to be involved, why did you get yourself involved? You're over-reacting slightly. Perhaps you should grow up a little.." Following this, we get three separate comments from her. Number 1: "dont tell me to grow up dont like u now jks". Number 2: "and u realy need to not take things so seriosly god take a chill pill". Number 3: "it was all a joke un till now coz u r just beeing a meanee jks u can tell I'm jokeing coz I put jks at the end". First comment: Just childish and pathetic to me. Second one: I'm already annoyed and she thinks she can say that to me! I'm an easy going person up for a laugh and a joke. The only things I take seriously are the serious matters - school and exams, politics, and a couple of other things. Even then, I'm up for a laugh and mick-take there. She just flipping annoys me! Last comment. Well, that whole 'jks' thing, I really see it as whenever people say that, there's always an elements of truth in them. When people use smilies is when they are truly joking. Granted, some people don't, but then you can tell. However, she does use smilies for signalling jokes, and so she didn't use them this time, what do you expect me to think. Now, as I said, you won't see me getting much ruder than this, so treasure the moment.. "NAME. Listen to me. You're being very immature and, to be truthful, pathetic. All of this 'jokes' stuff is pretty childish. Moreover, the reason why I'm being serious is because I was trying to discuss a serious issue - the future of this country's politics. As I said, if you didn't want to be involved, don't involve yourself. Now, grow up and stop being immature."So that was that. She didn't respond and I've now defriended her. I honestly do not care any more. She is nothing to me. I now just have to wait for my uncle to flip out at me, my mum and my nan over this - which will be 'explosive' to say the least, considering there's currently a rift between them at the mo...
  21. I won't be entering this Challenge unfortunately. Basically, had so much work to do the past couple of weeks, I'd only be able to whip something up now - and it would be pretty poor.Good luck to everyone!
  22. Oh right, must've missed that then. Apologies.
  23. None of them extended polling hours according to law. Some gave everyone who was queuing a ballot paper - and by law, if you have a ballot paper in your hand at 10pm, you are still allowed to vote. Likewise if you are actually in the polling station 'room' - and some places did ram the 'rooms' / stations / whatever you'd like to call them.Anyways, my local area results:Philip Hammond, Conservative: 26,915 Andrew Falconer, Liberal Democrat: 10,406 Paul Greenwood, Labour: 6,446 In a VERY Conservative area and it's been like that ever since I can remember. Lib Dems went up though. :)Well done to Green Party on getting their first ever seat though!
  24. Shocked by the Exit Poll results to be honest. I hope it is not as accurate as 2005's...
