    Your Thorpe Park

I know this is everyone's views, but I could not stand a pirate themed area! Chessington and AT have one, so why not go for something a bit different; unique.

    Kinder SurpriseBBC1 or BBC 2?
  4. Realistic yes, but I think that Thorpe would probably prefer that to be a little more out of touch with where the park is now. For example, maybe having a quite place on part of the infill.Plus, Thorpe do already have quite a few places just the relax: Sunken Garden, CCR, Ranger County, BBQ picnic area. Okay, not the best places or as good as they could be, but still they are there, but they just need to be searched for.
  5. Firstly, I'm not trying to sound rude when I say anything, so if it does come across like that, I'm sorry. Isn't going to happen. The park said during their Behind The Loops tour that they don't want to be classed as a theme park, but more of an 'experience park', where guests have different experineces - I.e. world's first horror themed roller coaster, 10 looping roller coaster etc. Therefore, they are unlikely to happen, but theming isn't out of the question. Again, isn't going to happen. The park wants to keep with its Thrill idea, so will probably relace X with something more thrilling than a garden. A non-laser dark ride?As for my suggestions:A non-laser dark ride, not like X, something like Wicked Witch Haunt. An area fit for all the family, with high-capacity rides and a Corkscrew-style ride as the main attraction - perhaps on Treasure Island and the other islands.Keep the rides in good condition, espically with Colossus and maybe Nemesis a new paint job. (Colossus is having on for 2010?)
  6. By the way bubbly, I wasn't directing that at just you, I was directing it at everyone in general, as there are many people who I've heard say similar thing. Sorry.
  7. I hate the fact that SAW is being branded as only worth it for the theming by some people. The ride itself looks great, yes, Eurofighters might not be the best in the world, but so what! A fast ride (second fastest in the park) along with some decent looking loops, great turns as well as the dark section and queue line experience - I wouldn't have cared if the ride wasn't endorsed by Lionsgate, the ride is going to be great!
  8. In the end, she's got cancer. Yes, you have to feel sorry for her. However, I hate the fact she's recieving so much publicty. There's thousands of people in her position. They don't get all this publicity. In fact, that type of cancer was never mentioned unless it was in statistics. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago everybody hated her and wished she was dead? Now, they want her to stay alive till the bitter end. Also, she can actually afford to marry her loved one, others can't.As for the children, yes they're going to have to live without parents, and that's the worst part. However, there's thousands of cases that are even worse. AT least her children have some more money than others will due to Jade's celebrity status. Other children whose mother was in a similar position will beeven worse of finacially.Okay, she's got cancer. I'm sorry to hear that. But all this publicity about her marriage, life, etc. I don't care about. To me, she should just be like everyone else, another person who's got cancer, and maybe the odd paragraph in the paper saying what's she has been up to.
  9. This is what happens when one train runs, staff have trouble loading and rides such as Stealth aren't open!
  10. I don't see how H&S can worry if they spin. It won't make them any closer so it is just as safe as it not spinning. The sawmill will be divided into rooms or sections for the ride experience and probably the indoor queue.
  11. Go on the previous page and look at TPDan's post with the pictures. Near the bottom of the post you'll find, round about, where the queue entrance. The entrance to the island will be next to Samurai. By 2010, there'll be another entrance going undernesth Colossus' inline twists.
  12. I can remember my first 2004 visit, kinda special though becuase it was the first day I could go on the 'big rides'.Zodiac, Quantum, X, Colossus, Flying Fish, Nemesis, Loggers Leap and then Nemesis. Fab day.
  13. What I meant to say is I think they'll probably be testing it at a similar rate throughout the rest of Thrill Chill. Sorry I wasn't clear.I think the name wans't mentioned in The Sun's article because:The name was on the car.It will mean there'll be less complaints.
  14. Anyone wanting a small update; SAW has been tested reguarly. From what I saw when I passed, trains were going up the lift hill every 20-30 seconds. I'm preety sure it will be very similar throughout Thrill Chill.

The picture on the far right (01/02/09). Look at the man, around where the torso is. It is faintly written there.

Also note that in that picture the file name has 010309 in it.01/03/09 (1st March 2009). Perhaps somethong similar to SAW's build up - if this is for real and everything - but in a more cryptic way?
  17. The time when I won a huge teddy on the ring toss game when I was three is something I'll always remember.First time going on X was also quite rememberable for some reason...

I think what needs to be thoguht of is that the public (non-fans) will only visit local parks reguarly. Therefore, although variety of rides is required, having similar designs fo rides, I.e. launch, inverted, etc. won't mtter that much to the public. However, when it comes to parks owned by the same companies and in close proximity (TP and Chessie), then the owner will make the parks completely different. TP=Thrillseekers Chessie=Families with young children. That's why they don't have similar rides. AT is aimed at families with slightly older children, so they need similar rides to Thorpe to connect tot the target market.
  19. I'd like to think SAW's RPH is 900-ish, however, I think the average on a summer's day will be somewhere between 800-850.

    Puzzles & Riddles

Niether. If it is a lie, then what you said would be true, ut then it would be a lie, etc. etc.A man lives on the top floor (floor 50) of a block of flats. Everyday, he takes the lift down to the bottom floor to go to work. However, when he returns from work, he uses the lft to go to the 20th floor, then uses the stairs for the rest of the way. He wasn't overweight and wanted to do more exercise and he lift could always reach the top floor. So why did he do so?

  24. CCR train is my favourite! Definately the 'Woo Woo'.However, I love the sound of Detonator going down, espically with no-one on it, as with Stealth.
