I've got one!I turn polar bears whiteand I will make you cry.I make guys have to peeand girls comb their hair.I make celebrities look stupidand normal people look like celebrities.I turn pancakes brownand make your champagne bubble. If you squeeze me, I'll pop.If you look at me, you'll pop.EDIT: What is the answer to the riddle?(Oh yeah, 97% of Harvard graduates can not figure this riddle out, but 84% of kindergarten students were able to figure this out in 6 minutes or less, as tested out in America).

Yeah, we're nuts! I think a lot of us would love to be in charge of the park or be in charge of our own park, but I think we'd come up with stuff that was literally impossible. My first idea was very unrealsitic, so a crack at a more realistic one...2009) SAW opens; CCR reopens.2010) Miss Hippo replaced with a new flat ride for families, maybe a Disko.2011) No new rides. General park improvements, Colossus and Inferno have both been repainted. Maybe a new 4D that is longer and fits in with the surrounding area.2012) New coaster opens on Treasure Island area. Probably a Flyer, but it would depend on what is best for the park, like with adding on Eurofighter to get a heavily themed ride. New flat ride and maybe a relocated flat from the park added as well.2013) X recieves a new layout and maybe a name change. Samurai moves to the new island along with the other rides. Work on a new dark ride begins. 2014) Due to another agreement with Lionsgate, SAW recieves new effects and a new dark ride themed around 'a game' in place of Samurai. Work on TP Hotel.2015) On another new island, a new coaster for 2016 is being prepared. No idea what coaster; depends on what's around.2016) New coaster and Hotel open.I'd call it quite realistic and it fits well to what TP have been doing.

    Unbranded rip-off! :Sb or d?
  4. Sitting on the far left hand side, that bit must feel so much like an inversion! The ride does seem to be coming along nicely. The barbed wire can be seen from the bridge and even outside the park, giving that feeling straight away of evil and darkness. From what I've heard; one of the best themed rides in Europe?

All the weights are correct to the nearest kilogram. Therefore, all the weights could be -0.5kg lighter than you stated. Therefore, the man weighs 77.5kg, the bars weight 0.5kg and the sign means 79.5 kg.The man walks across with all 3 bars, which totals up to 79kg, which is 0.5kg less than the maximum load and thus gets across safely with all three bars.Probably wrong, but there's always a chance.

I'm not having a go at anyone when I say this s everyone has the right to their views, but I can't stand the idea of having rides open mid-season. I didn't like with Rush or any other rides in other theme parks. Yes, they are usually for good reasons, but it has to open or the beginning or it just isn't the same.Anyway, here's mine...2009) SAW opens. On quiet days, some rides close (a bit like Chessington) unless there's demand for them. This means rides could be more reliable on peak days. 2010) Colossus and X repainted. General park improvements.2011) The space that was once occupied by Hippo Safari is replaced by a dark ride suitable for families; Flying Fish style ride. Similar to WWH, interaction, no guns though. Three floors high with a nice drop as a finale. Project U is to be worked on, opening in 2013, promising to be a world's greatest. Rumba Rapids closed in October so it can receive an extension or 2012.2012) Rapids extension opens. Treasure Island reopens with a Sci-Fi / Futuristic theme. A Sci-Fi tunnel from the new dark ride takes you there. A new Disko opens along with a couple of other family rides. Project U (very exspensive) is still being worked on. Also for 2013, Project FINK is annouced. Standing for Flyer in Neptune's Kindom, a family flyer with some water interactions, similar to Manta's theming. It will be small, relatively cheap and suitab;e for families so younger ones can have a true roller coaster. 2013) FINK opens, proving to be a huge sucess. Project U is a Sci Fi / Future themed ride. Manufactured by B&M, it is Merlin's biggest investment yet, costing £17-18million. The ride is to be 120ft high (local council allowed it due to track colour) and will be Europe's longest coaster. Trains like a Diving Machine, the ride contains: an indoor station, the classic DM drop, 6 inversions, near misses to theming, a world's first element and a small indoor section (could that be put underwater... probably not). The park say their new roller coaster won't be at the park until 2017 / 2018.2014) No new rides, but the park does well finacially and still brings in plently of vistors. The park decides to bring back noticeable themed areas for 2015.2015) No new rides again. Ranger County is rethemed to include the dark ride, but no rides are taken away, but renamed. Lost City totally rethemed and most rides renamed. Samurai, Colossus and SAW are made into their own horror themed area, each being themed to a different horror film. CC, NK, Amity Cove and Calypso Quay just have their areas refurbished with Detonator having a name change and Time Voyagers being replaced for a film to fit in with the theme.2016) New flats are added in the park, can't be bothered to say what or where. Last year of X, as 2018 coaster (still indoors) will replace it. Saw recieves some new effects.Unrealistic I know, but oh well, we can all dream.
  7. Surely 'god' should have a capital 'G' to be God. Yes, I'm fussy.

Can I have the notes to that remix please?

I know this is everyone's views, but I could not stand a pirate themed area! Chessington and AT have one, so why not go for something a bit different; unique.

    Kinder SurpriseBBC1 or BBC 2?
  11. Realistic yes, but I think that Thorpe would probably prefer that to be a little more out of touch with where the park is now. For example, maybe having a quite place on part of the infill.Plus, Thorpe do already have quite a few places just the relax: Sunken Garden, CCR, Ranger County, BBQ picnic area. Okay, not the best places or as good as they could be, but still they are there, but they just need to be searched for.
  12. Firstly, I'm not trying to sound rude when I say anything, so if it does come across like that, I'm sorry. Isn't going to happen. The park said during their Behind The Loops tour that they don't want to be classed as a theme park, but more of an 'experience park', where guests have different experineces - I.e. world's first horror themed roller coaster, 10 looping roller coaster etc. Therefore, they are unlikely to happen, but theming isn't out of the question. Again, isn't going to happen. The park wants to keep with its Thrill idea, so will probably relace X with something more thrilling than a garden. A non-laser dark ride?As for my suggestions:A non-laser dark ride, not like X, something like Wicked Witch Haunt. An area fit for all the family, with high-capacity rides and a Corkscrew-style ride as the main attraction - perhaps on Treasure Island and the other islands.Keep the rides in good condition, espically with Colossus and maybe Nemesis a new paint job. (Colossus is having on for 2010?)
  13. By the way bubbly, I wasn't directing that at just you, I was directing it at everyone in general, as there are many people who I've heard say similar thing. Sorry.
  14. I hate the fact that SAW is being branded as only worth it for the theming by some people. The ride itself looks great, yes, Eurofighters might not be the best in the world, but so what! A fast ride (second fastest in the park) along with some decent looking loops, great turns as well as the dark section and queue line experience - I wouldn't have cared if the ride wasn't endorsed by Lionsgate, the ride is going to be great!

In the end, she's got cancer. Yes, you have to feel sorry for her. However, I hate the fact she's recieving so much publicty. There's thousands of people in her position. They don't get all this publicity. In fact, that type of cancer was never mentioned unless it was in statistics. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago everybody hated her and wished she was dead? Now, they want her to stay alive till the bitter end. Also, she can actually afford to marry her loved one, others can't.As for the children, yes they're going to have to live without parents, and that's the worst part. However, there's thousands of cases that are even worse. AT least her children have some more money than others will due to Jade's celebrity status. Other children whose mother was in a similar position will beeven worse of finacially.Okay, she's got cancer. I'm sorry to hear that. But all this publicity about her marriage, life, etc. I don't care about. To me, she should just be like everyone else, another person who's got cancer, and maybe the odd paragraph in the paper saying what's she has been up to.
  16. This is what happens when one train runs, staff have trouble loading and rides such as Stealth aren't open!
  17. I don't see how H&S can worry if they spin. It won't make them any closer so it is just as safe as it not spinning. The sawmill will be divided into rooms or sections for the ride experience and probably the indoor queue.
  18. Go on the previous page and look at TPDan's post with the pictures. Near the bottom of the post you'll find, round about, where the queue entrance. The entrance to the island will be next to Samurai. By 2010, there'll be another entrance going undernesth Colossus' inline twists.
  19. I can remember my first 2004 visit, kinda special though becuase it was the first day I could go on the 'big rides'.Zodiac, Quantum, X, Colossus, Flying Fish, Nemesis, Loggers Leap and then Nemesis. Fab day.
  20. What I meant to say is I think they'll probably be testing it at a similar rate throughout the rest of Thrill Chill. Sorry I wasn't clear.I think the name wans't mentioned in The Sun's article because:The name was on the car.It will mean there'll be less complaints.
  21. Anyone wanting a small update; SAW has been tested reguarly. From what I saw when I passed, trains were going up the lift hill every 20-30 seconds. I'm preety sure it will be very similar throughout Thrill Chill.

The picture on the far right (01/02/09). Look at the man, around where the torso is. It is faintly written there.
  23. JoshC. replied to Sheepie's topic in UK Attractions
Also note that in that picture the file name has 010309 in it.01/03/09 (1st March 2009). Perhaps somethong similar to SAW's build up - if this is for real and everything - but in a more cryptic way?
  24. The time when I won a huge teddy on the ring toss game when I was three is something I'll always remember.First time going on X was also quite rememberable for some reason...
  25. JoshC. replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
I think what needs to be thoguht of is that the public (non-fans) will only visit local parks reguarly. Therefore, although variety of rides is required, having similar designs fo rides, I.e. launch, inverted, etc. won't mtter that much to the public. However, when it comes to parks owned by the same companies and in close proximity (TP and Chessie), then the owner will make the parks completely different. TP=Thrillseekers Chessie=Families with young children. That's why they don't have similar rides. AT is aimed at families with slightly older children, so they need similar rides to Thorpe to connect tot the target market.
