  1. 100% Pizza Pasta. It has improved massively last few years and love the bbq pizzas that you don't seem to be able to get in other Merlin Pizza Pastas. I can actually fill myself up for a decent price and not feel like I want more, as often happens if I have a standard meal in other places.
  2. That one is £8 for 12 hours. So again much cheaper and basically on the doorstep!
  3. Why does anyone pay that anyway when you can park completely free on the roads opposite big blue hotel? It's a ten minute walk from the park, closer than the Alton Towers car park is from the entrance for comparison.
  4. It hasn't done the two for a couple of seasons now. Let's just be grateful it is still running as I genuinely thought Rameses would go before Ripsaw.
  5. Very good atmosphere on park tonight and nice to see a good crowd level well into the evening. I hope that this continues and the event deemed a success to make it continue into future seasons. The park wide dance/pop music worked really well for the event and made it good fun. During last hour both Stealth and Swarm were delayed 15 - 20 mins while second trains removed (not sure about other coasters), but most rides stayed open from what I saw. Samurai, quantum and old town kids rides unavailable all evening and I'm a celeb/zombie hunt/living nightmare advertised as closing at 6pm.
  6. Nice to finally see big plates in Pizza Pasta. Guess thats the end of the "plates get smaller every year tradition" Have to also say the pizza was extra delicious this evening!
  7. Had a great evening at Thorpe Park, but kind of frustrating that you get on only two rides in last hour as they want to take off the second train on all the coasters. Defeats the whole object of supposedly getting in lots of rides in last hour. The queues were 10 - 15 mins on two trains, so wasn't like it was completely empty. I feel for the staff with this too as Swarm still had probably a 20 - 30 minute queue at ten with only one train, meaning they wouldn't finish as quickly as if it was left on two. Nemesis Inferno was painfully slow this evening with trains regularly dispatching at 3 and half to 4 minute intervals. Good job that was on two trains whilst I queued!
  8. I was in the car park as they all arrived and naturally everyone assumed another ride had "crashed". Hope that the lady was OK.
  9. OK fair play I take that back seeing as I can see fantasy Island, Chessington and towers already promoting fright nights. Let's hope something is mentioned soon.
  10. I preferred it in the days they used the midnight syndicate music. For several years every attraction had a different track. It's very generic audio wise now days and reduces the atmosphere greatly IMO. You couldn't beat humpty dumpty on Detonator! I still thoroughly enjoyed platform 15 and, Big Top last season and am still looking forward to FN this year.
  11. Must have been a throughput day (Do they still do those??) Remember back in the day the had those and would play non themed music (chart) to motivate the staff to get through as many people as they could!!
  12. The park will still concentrate on promoting it after the summer is it the way, regardless of whether anything new is announced or not. Why would they advertise FN now whilst trying to concentrate on getting people in during Love Island Lates?
  13. It's still early days and not much mentioned as of yet. It will pick up after summer gets out the way.
  14. Wild mouse cars are being sold on ebay. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wild-Mouse-Car-Mousey-No-2/153119357669?hash=item23a69ffae5%3Ag%3AhR4AAOSwgetbRb60&_nkw=Wild+mouse+car&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=p2380057.m4084.l1313.TR6.TRC0.A0.H0.XWild+mo.TRS0 Missed it thoroughly on my first visit since it had gone last weekend. Still so sad to know it will never run again but feel privelaged to have ridden it several times over the years.
  15. Chessington works well with contactless readers on the barrier ticket boxes. This would be a far more efficient way of dealing with the large number who forget to get a ticket.
  16. Again!!!! It hasn't been £7 for that long!
  17. Fantastic write up there! Have to agree with almost everything you have said. I enjoyed the park and Icon so much I'm already eager to return!
  18. I just find it boring now anyway whether it works or not, as you know what to expect. I feel these experience attractions can only be done so many times. I will go on if others in my group want to but I'd be happy just doing it once a year to see if there are any updates or changes.
  19. Of course one of the tabloids pick it up and make the situation to be worse with some false information such as... "other thrill seekers were stuck at the top of Stealth" ?? https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6871730/thorpe-park-power-cut-leaves-dozens-stranded-on-rides-in-scorching-33c-heat-and-others-in-huge-queues/
  20. Have to second that Marc, was really enjoyable.. Icon is definitely a back row coaster and really does have a lot more airtime than I was expecting, given how slow it looks offride. A fantastic coaster and recommend going to ride it if you haven't done so.
  21. My top ten UK: 1. Icon 2. Wickerman 3. Nemesis Inferno 4. Stealth 5. Oblivion 6. Swarm 7. Nemesis 8. Grand National 9. PMBO 10. GalacticAIR (NON VR)
  22. Cheers, Still silly that it's not just on the ticket selection page! A lot of people will miss this with it being on the event page rather then general ticket page! Also, when they first went on sale they were 4pm to 10pm, then changed to 5pm - 10pm and now are just 6pm to 10pm. Still amazing value regardless.
  23. Does anyone know why the evening only ticket has disappeared from the ticket selection page of the Thorpe Park website?
  24. Admittedly I have a friend who said the same about last weekend but I have not had any major issues on the 6 visits I have made this year. Hopefully it will be sorted soon!
  25. You must have gone on a bad day as my recent visits have been great. Swarm and Stealth regularly dispatching in less than a minute (40 seconds on Swarm in several instances) Nemesis Inferno admittedly has been slow for a couple of seasons now. Really shows how every day can differ.
