  1. May have been mentioned before, but today a shutter to DBGT was open directly opposite the x queueline fire exit, and there was what appeared to be a very thick grey metal track like structure? Any ideas?
  2. I hated the Detonator soundtrack last week (and still do) but annoyingly I started humming it after listening to it for 20 minutes in the queue!! X music extremely low in ride area, but louder in queue. WWTP radio has now been set to play in the Amity beach area and Depth Charge queue, with chart music now just at dome, bridge and entrance (playing alongside the Thorpe Video music - can't call it entrance music as it is only part of it! that plays).
  3. The Inferno fasttrack point has always been in operation for me (except on March school trips - off peak days). Oddly enough for the first time on a peak visit today the merge point wasn't being used. What was great about today was very minimal fasttrack sold and used, made queues move quicker, although there was an excessive number of people using RAP. Only the fast track unit near Depth Charge was open. Inferno two trains, Swarm 2 trains, Colossus obviously just the one train, X on 2 trains, making the queue painfully slow, Saw on 6, Stealth reduced to one half way through the day after an issue. Operations as such not bad today , just Inferno being very slow at loading and dispatching, I was in brake run for almost 2 minutes. Park generally not too busy with longest physical queue being Colossus at just over 40 minutes. Swarm was about a four train wait after 4:30. Saw was 5 minutes after 5:15pm.
  4. It was open the first few weeks. Must be waiting for a part if no work taking place.
  5. It's been like that virtually every peak day this season so far. The place is certainly getting the visitors these days despite having more regular issues.
  6. Sounds like a repeat of last year. Second train wasn't there for the first few months at all.

Wasnt this down for over half of last season, maybe more? When it was fixed it lasted a few weeks before dying again. It was also stripped down completely at one point and again lasted a few days before dying again. Seriously think they need to give up on this particular top scan and think they should either replace it with a new model or a completely new ride.
  8. This video (and part 2) really shows how amazing this game will be, mainly in terms of theming. Take a look at this guys amazing work with buildings and rock work.
  9. I was refreshing from 9:45 lol.
  10. YAY I was Successful at 9:55am.
  11. Was on park between 10am and 2:30pm and no signs of it testing today.
  12. Well, animal sounds or Nemesis Inferno theme, both beat the painful short loop of the I'm a Celebrity theme thumping out of that speaker. Few seconds of the audio playing nice and loud at the entrance... Inferno Entrance.wmv
  13. I meant to edit my post once I got to the station. Unfortunately no music whatsoever in the station today.
  14. The Nemesis Inferno Music is now blasting out of most of Nemesis Inferno area including the entrance to the ride. Only exception is the speaker in the cattlepen part of queue playing animal sound effects.
  15. Still haven't managed to make a meet as of yet, despite being around years! Can 100% make this, please put me down as attending.
  16. Guess it's the usual situation of last few years of adding trains well into opening rather than before opening. So annoying!
  17. New soundtrack playing on Dragon's Fury in queue and station, Spent hours thinking I'd already heard the song played somewhere and am sure this is it... Strange of the park to use a track from a game, but awesome track and works really well.
  18. I booked mine online and was pretty straight forward. Europa don't do fast passes. Everyone is treated the same and has to queue which is a plus. Throughputs are high so you move through queues pretty quickly.
  19. I don't like the new one so far either. On a plus, looking at a video on Towers Streets Facebook page the old (before 2008) Towers Street music will play in the area outside hex.
  20. Until five years down the line when it's never been cut and is overgrowing and covering up all the building.

The areas are still a bit of mess as Samurai is slap bang in the middle of the so called old town and listed as Old Town but is clearly themed to Lost City. Then theres angry birds land splitting up Amity Cove, err sorry beach.
  22. It is such a headache and wish they would just reprogram the system. Can't be that difficult as surely the speaker simply get assigned a zone. Hopefully Thorpe Park still read these forums and see how frustrating we all find it.

  24. All closures must be permanent as they are not on the park map at all. Picture from Towersstreet Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/TowersStreet/photos/a.346943978709386.76261.345107215559729/1022674691136308/?type=3&theater
  25. Good point! Doesn't help that most complain at the slightest of hiccups, yet when things go well they never bother saying anything! Ultimately many don't realise that the main purpose of AP days is to rehearse and use it as a training tool for new staff. Of course things won't be perfect.
