  1. I thought Thorpe had got better this year and then I saw a 90 minute Tidal Wave queue due to running 2 boats with a guy flogging Fast Track by the queue entrance.
  2. Way too much is being based on this staff publication. By publishing a confident article, staff will infer that Merlin is the safer company to work for rather than Paramount. Also, what is the point of producing a realistic article about the development for seasonals, most of whom will not be returning for the next season so are completely unaffected? I am sure they do have plans in place but at this time there is no point revealing them.
  3. I really doubt this in the case of The Smiler.
  4. If you are going to Chang Mai go to White Temple and Flight of the Gibbon. Flight of the Gibbon is expensive but worth it and probably the closest you are going to get to a good theme park experience. Angkor Wat is compulsory in Cambodia. If all else fails follow Tom's advice and make use of the $1 beer.
  5. Air Race restraints aren't perfect. When you are held upside down they can be pretty painful.
  6. It probably is being replaced by something but management now know the recruitment pages were being used to find out information.
  7. How many people do you know who have ridden Takabishia?
  8. lol people do worse at festivals. The temporary queues must be madness. Locker area is hopefully better than FJ.
  9. Roughness does not equal intensity. The airtime hills only feel good because they are a break from hang time and positive Gs at the top and bottom of inversions respectively. Honestly, The Smiler reminds of a fairground ride in terms of forces.
  10. Helix is great. Balder is great. Lisebergbanan is great. Liseberg is great. People should go.
  11. Yeah New Orleans is my favourite land in Disneyland. The themeing and atmosphere are great and it has two outstanding attractions.
  12. Oh god I haven't watched the latest episode. Edit:
  13. Weird about the bellhops. When I went all bar one had their own slew of terrible puns and quirks, including ripping through one of the sets of elevator doors. Yeah Screamin' really shouldn't work but I love it and front row at night is one of the best experiences on the resort. RSR is the best thing imagineering have built in the West since Indy probably. What did you think of Mickey's 'Fun' Wheel?
  14. Nah Mr Toad's is flawless. We can disagree on anything else. Having Pirates, Small World and Grizzly down must have put some serious pressure on Splash. I really like Cali Splash because moving through scenes quickly, the burrow scene and how wet you can potentially get make it feel a bit more sinister.
  15. JoshC. you were always my favourite
  16. Thread's over guys. Tommy goofed the title and first post. In an attempt to rescue it, I will be offering a World Beating prize for the best post.
  17. On the one hand you have to give it to the park for attempting to 'eliminate' queuing but I just can't believe they are trialling it with the 5 big coasters during June. I was expecting Saw and Swarm as they are the newest coasters and are at the edges of the park so would force guest movement. Honestly at best I think the system is going to confuse people and at worst completely shutdown due to not being able to handle the amount of people hammering the server.
  18. Move Charlie and make the elevator ride drop you into a solar panel #lightfields
