In Universal Orlando news, Transformers had team previews on the 28th of May and has AP previews over the coming month alongside soft openings. ^Bench The Ride is great. Euromir is a bit deathly if you are in the last car and are backwards for the last section but otherwise I love it. Great report as ever Mark.

Bioshock Infinite is pretty great so far. Deals with most of my complaints about the first two and the all the fancy directx11 stuff on the PC are pretty.

The only good thing about backwards for me is that it adds more weight to the 4D B&M rumours.

Nothing happened. It was probably just the cold weather and me being used to smaller meets but if I was going to critique the meet for one thing, that would be it. Maybe I'll just get a name badge for next time.

Suggestion for future meets. Some kind of introduction time, especially for newer people. It's great to have more people turning up but some parts yesterday felt a bit craaaazy.

I never felt that the advertising campaign last year got close to Saw's success. It just didn't seem anywhere near as widespread. This billboard is a complete 180 on last year.

Yes to a whole post on Tower. Mushu! I remember the studios having some really random characters. Lilo and Stitch had a habit of chilling around an animation building. Captain EO is so screwed up.

Fastpass at Disney is a double-edged sword. In the case of Thunder Mountain, the Paris version allocates one station to Fastpass and the other to Standby. Fastpass therefore doubles the Standby wait time. I don't remember how the other Thunder's run but there are examples such as Radiator Springs Racers, Soarin' and Test Track where the high amount of Fastpasses allocated can really slow down the Standby queue. To be fair, it has improved compared to when return times weren't enforced. Europa do check restraints on rides that need it and if they think you're not secure or mucking around they will slam them down.

Apart from missing the Sunset Blvd entrance and outside garden queue, I'm not sure why the DCA/ Paris towers are seen as inferior to WDW. There are a lot of things I prefer.

Lineup preference is subjective of course but the atmosphere and demographic who attend the festivals is completely different. Reading and Leeds attract a much younger crowd. Even the timings of the festivals suggest that. Glasto is during GCSEs/ A Levels normally, while Reading and Leeds start just after GCSE results day. From 2005-2010, it used to sell out before bands were even announced so they were doing something right. In comparison, it 'sold out' a few weeks before the event last year because there was a deal with Viagogo.

Yeah I don't get the backwards hype. The lift hill and first inversion/drop are pretty cool but row 5 felt more intense. Also Dan9 got told off trying to take a picture of his backwards ORP which included... his foot. Classic. Yeah except 4Ds ride similarly to being thrown down a hill in a barrel.

I'd accept this if Bar 360 didn't have awful service. 45+ minute wait for food on quiet days? Nope.

Green Lantern First Flight isn't last? Never have I wanted to get off a coaster more than when riding that thing.
