  1. Turning on the TV to see CNN saying "FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE: overwhelming majority agree with armed guards at schools". Just to add insult to injury, they put on a scrolling bar next to celeb gossip that 4 people are dead in a PA shooting while having a 5 min slot for Gangnan Style. I've been to America a good few times including the whole "Obama care is communism" stuff but it still gets me. Fox is probably having a "Praise the Gun" special.
  2. Mr Hightower does not wish to be associated with Mr Serling and his superstitious riff raff.
  3. We need a 'I voted for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror' badge.

Damn the voting closed? I have been too busy to sit down and properly listen to the last few albums. The 2nd Law has some good songs but as an album it's lacking for me. Flow has never been Muse's strong point but they are one of the best live bands I've seen.
  5. It would be so easy to sway the International awards.

Aww man my feels. I'll just go back to my Foals postered hipster cave.
  7. Do you include The Swarm in this? I can't say I agree when most of the effects were temperamental this season to put it lightly. By UK standards maybe but I wouldn't class it as 'immense indulge'.

In attempt to make this thread more active.. There's a thread on another forum I am part of which is doing a "10 Albums of The Year" poll. I thought it would be interesting if anyone here has a list or has suggestions. I still have quite a few albums to listen to but here is my list so far: The Presets – Pacifica Lucy Rose - Like I Used To Bloc Party - Four Grizzly Bear - Shields Miike Snow - Happy to You Passion Pit - Gossamer Django Django - Django Django Clock Opera - Ways to Forget The xx - Coexist Crystal Castles - (III)
  9. Maybe so but it could be a very poor first impression to a day at the park, particularly for new visitors.
  10. Then why is Finding Nemo in Future World let alone Epcot? Tron fits in with innovation and technological advancements that Future World is based around. The initial hill climb could have been entering The Grid and the barrier test could have been escaping back into the real world. Honestly, it's probably still Test Track because the sponsorship was up but GM paid the right amount of money to fund this refurb. Anyway, this change looks like a massive improvement.
  11. With this logic, Disney wouldn't have risked themeing The Tower of Terror around The Twilight Zone.
  12. You should rename this thread "Confessions (which you will delete a few hours later)".

    Video Games.

Just finished the story missions for Borderlands 2. Damn, it gets dark and the villain is simultaneously amazing and a completely monster. The writing and voice acting was just amazing.
  14. It may have just been because most of the seats were empty but Air was running brilliantly last night. Airtime, hangtime and flips aplenty with some really forceful moments.

  16. Whenever anyone visits the park as a guest, they are part of the general public. Ergo, the fact that people are complaining about it on this site shows that the general public do care.
  17. So a park can only have one dark ride? I wouldn't even class X as a dark ride.
  18. This is as catastrophic as the duck scene not working in The Flume.
  19. SFMM doesn't have small rides, it's just all thrill rides. It's like Thorpe's situation except they are taking out water rides as well.
  20. Right next to the beautiful white tent, so we can be immersed in the experience.

I really hope the 2013 album and tour rumours are true. Best electronic show out there.
  22. To be fair, the Mission 2 effects at least in its opening year were really good. I don't know if they have gone way of the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster effects though.
  23. February makes sense, main season I see being much less likely. It would be a nice trade-off for a reduced line up as well.

  25. Thanks for making this report Pluk! I have very fond memories of Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain (best mine train ever?) and Magic Kingdom. Judging rides and landscaping alone, I prefer it to the Florida version but over the recent years it's started to look messy and reports on staff have been mixed. You said you were disappointed by Space Mountain's theme which prompted me to hunt out the old De la Terre à la Lune version concept and poster artwork for you. I actually fond a pretty detailed blog describing the old experience as well which sadly if it was looked after may have been better than its current state. For example, where the explosion takes place on the lift hill, there used to be the smiling moon. http://ultimateorlan...arks-facts.html (pictures at the bottom). Blue Moon Mining Company taken from Verne books I believe. This is what the original area was supposed to be before budget cuts. It was called Discovery Mountain and would have housed Space Mountain, an underwater restaurant, the Nautilus (now outside) and a drop ride similar in style to Tower of Terror and themed to Journey to the Centre of the Earth. It would have been pretty spectacular
