I've always imagined X:WTF themed as a Dracula's Castle or an Egyptian Pyramid. If they had a decent themeing budget they could retheme the pyramid outside and inside. The queueline could be immense if they added animatronics like a bat that traveled along a rail on the ceiling when set off by a sensor. Dream on...
  2. I took my sister and about 5 of her friends to Thorpe Park today. As many of the girls didn't want to ride the larger rides, we decided to go on Rumba Rapids. I was disgusted to see that they were only allowing Families and Adults onto the ride. After being turned away from the ride I decided to ask the staff member why this rule was in place. The Member of staff would not give me a proper reason and said simply that "It is a new park rule". I decided to go to guest services and complain but they stated the exact same thing as the member of staff. My sister and her friends were very upset as they had already been on the vast majority of rides that didn't go upsidedown and we struggled to think of anything else to do for her brithday party. Later I will send an email to Thorpe Park addressing this complaint.

  7. Hi,Tommorrow I'm taking my sister to Thorpe Park for her first ever time.Despite having been on every ride myself my sister has never even been on a ride that goes upsidedown.I'm thinking of taking her on Nemesis, The Swarm and X://WTF.What do you think are good rides for newbies?
  8. I'd like either:A HUSS Giant Jumper (like sledgehammer at Canada's Wonderland)A Topspin (Talocan Style)OrA Topple Tower (No reason but they look fun)
  9. Anyone know if the fire was running today (I highly doubt it!)
  10. Don't take my word for it but I think it was.I want a Ramases style topspin!
  11. Went on this today. The lights and smoke in the cave were working but no geysers
  12. I went today with one of my friends. We got in 4 rides and one on inferno. The queue never peaked over 20 mins so pretty good for opening day. Still no fire but I actually got a bit wet in the back row . My mate got Les Cougans atuograph and we were interviewed by the press!
  13. I want I Huss Jump2 as well. The one in Canada's Wonderland (named Sledgehammer) is amazing and attracts a huge crowd.
  14. While not being a direct layout the thorpe park youtube account has a number of videos from inside the mazes (excluding experiment 10) which help to give you an idea of the look and feel of the mazeHope this helps.
  15. Just wondered where abouts these clowns are. My mate who I'm supposed to be going with is blooming terrified of them and I fear wewon't be going this year. Also, has anyone written down the full route of experiment 10. It sounds really good.
  16. I used to go here all the time and spend hours in the ice zone. I still have all of my action men lol.
  17. Totalsport11 please stop posting links that have nothing to do with the topic being discussed. You have posted this same link in both the X:WTF thread and the feedback thread.
  18. They'll probably build a tent around all of the track. You can probably see it from storm surge (if you can be bothered to queue that long).
  19. Slightly off topic but I think that LC12 stands for Linear Coaster 2012.
  20. Surely they could just install some pumps (like the ones at the top of waterslides) so that enough water would flow to keep the boats moving.
  21. I saw a boat stall yesterday. Afterwards the riders wouldn't stop complaining and ended up getting free fasttrack or priority passes (or something like that).
  22. I think that the bearings were shot and that they failed on the incline
  23. Does anyone think that LC12 will have somthing to do with tidal wave (themeing wise). For some reason I think that the apoclaypse idea has somthing to do with the flood/wave in amity cove.
  24. I have also done both of them and I do not agree that mystery mine is better than saw. Firstly saw has what I would describe as a better theme.Secondly on mystery mine you are inside for a very short time.Thirdly on mystery mine the indoor drop is rubbish.Lastly saw is much better at suprising you than mystery mine.
