It was the 10 second version of the advert, and it was played during the break two before the Chessington one, and the one after.

The SAW - The Ride advert was just played twice during the ad breaks between Britain's Got Talent .
  3. I'm not saying I don't like fastrack, and I will put my hands up now and say that I do occasionally use it. But I would much rather there just be one single queue-line for every ride. But I do agree, that if people want to spend more money to get on a ride quicker, then that's their choice.
  4. The only occasion when a ride photo is good to buy, is if you either live in another country (or this country), and your visit to Thorpe Park is going to be a once in a life time experience. This way, you can keep a nice memory of Thorpe Park. However, for people that visit once a month, even once a year, I can't see how any of the photo merchandise can be worth the money.
  5. I agree. To be honest, I think Thorpe should just ditch SR and fastrack on all of their rides, and just have one queue, but I doubt that this will ever happen. If fact, I know this won't happen, because Thorpe make so much extra money from fastrack sales.

I know what you mean, I've been waiting every week to see that woman! But yes, today is the last day of the auditions, and tomorrow evening will bring the first of the Live! Semi-finals.

I'm off to watch Britain's Got Talent in about half an hour! Loving the series so far .

    Slammer

My school is at least 1 hour away from any theme park, yet we still manage to slip it in to conversation every day!Anyway, back on topic with Slammer now.

    Slammer

You are one lucky dude! But I agree with themeparkmad, that if I had a view like that from my lesson, I would undoubtedly achieve U's across the board.
  10. This is a quote from a Thorpe Park article at www.alondonguide.com. I know they're trying to sell the park and all, but can you really call it one of the most intense rollercoasters in the world?

    Slammer

So I'm guessing you're watching them in your mind, unless your school is incredibly close to Thorpe Park. .

Oh . I'm going on Tuesday, so won't expect it to be open. Then if it is, I will be pleasantly surprised!
  13. I completely agree. I would much rather queue up for Stealth than SAW for example.

    Slammer

I take it that Slammer is still unavailable? I am just judging by the Thorpe Park website though, so it might be open by now.
  15. I was slightly disappointed, but I knew that the media had hyped up the ride far too much. It is a fantastic ride though, with incredible theming.
  16. The waterfall as you enter the tunnel seems to be slightly more powerful this year - creating a better, wetter experience!

What part of the cycle was the ride on? I.e.: Was it raising or lowering, or mid-ride?

I'm trying to get a trip to Alton Towers this year. I haven't been since 2004 so am dying to go as I am yet to ride Nemesis, Air, Oblivion, Rita etc. I would love to visit Cariba Creek again!
  19. If by ridiculous, you mean 3-4 hour Easter ridiculous, then yes they have died down. For the past several weeks, the queues have been up to an hour during the week, and up to 2 at the weekends.

    Your Thorpe Park

It's not necessarily the height that doesn't make Hurakan Condor as good, you have to keep in mind that they are two completely different types of drop towers.

    Your Thorpe Park

Oh right! I was thinking that hoping for 2 woodies in two years is slightly optimistic!

    Your Thorpe Park

Two woodies, one year after another?
  23. I am thinking about going to Chessington next week, during half-term. I know noone can predict the future, but does anyone have a rough idea of the average queue times during a school holiday? I have in my mind that it's no where near as bad as Thorpe, but I can be expecting queues near to 90 minutes for rides such as Vampire. Is this about right? Thanks
