  1. You must be rolling in money if watching videos on youtube can satisfy you as much as going on the rides themselves !
  2. I don't know if you are supposed to be allowed to, but I managed to buy 5 the other day for my friends, but I only had to present my ticket. I was only there with one friend that day. If you are allowed to, it would be great for organising trips and things, you could get tickets then for £10. Happy customers!
  3. Without an AP, this is definately the cheapest ticket you can buy for a days entry.

Yes, and it does take away that something extra from the ride experience.

I would guess so aswell. They havn't been in operation since before Friday. Maybe people began to complain?

I don't know about "Perfect", but it's in operation, yes. I don't think any of Thorpe Park's rides are ever "Perfect".
  7. Everytime I go, I buy a Bounceback ticket for £10 which allows me to return before the end of the season. (Sometime in October). With entry for £10, you can't really go wrong. Since I visited probably at least once a month last year, I will probably buy a Thorpe Park annual pass. Also, I am not sure if they are supposed to do this at Thorpe Park, but I bought 5 bounceback tickets last year (for some more friends to come next time), and only two of us went up to the ticket office. I am not sure if it is supposed to be one bouceback ticket per person.

20 minute queues max on a Sunday? Wow, I'm impressed.
  9. Paul replied to Mark9's topic in General Discussion
Sure. Are you sure you want to know?

I wouldn't think so. Whenever SAW is down, Thorpe Park try their best to resolve the problem as soon as possible. However, it might reopen and then close again on Sunday. It's anyone's guess. If you are visiting mainly for SAW, then check the website on the day before you leave, as mentioned earlier.

I have absolutely no idea, and I will be amazed if you can find someone who has . The only ride that has been permanantly unavailable since the start of the main season is Stealth, although this may begin operation before Sunday. If I were you, I would expect Stealth to be closed, and then you can't be disappointed!

To be honest, I thought it was about time that SAW was due another breakdown. The ride has been running rather well during the past few days, and it was only a matter of time before it had another problem.

As far as I am aware, the pendulum blades have not been swinging for several days now.
  14. I bought a Syringe Pen from SAW on friday. Love it!

Stealth was testing on Friday, successfully. Hopefully it will open to the public soon. I didn't see any test runs on Saturday though.

It wasn't until my third ride on SAW that I actually noticed the body under the inline twist .

I believe it was the launch cable.

If Stealth is shown as "Unavailable" at the park entrance, then the chances are very slim that it will open during the day.

That is lucky, I didn't go on Colossus at all today because every time I passed the entrance the queue was at least 20-30 minutes. Normally, I would have queued for this time, but I was only in the park for a few hours, so I went on SAW again instead which was only 10 minutes. Today I was just trying to get on all the rides with the shortest queues. Also, did you see the queue for Vortex today? It was a walk-on for the most part of the day! I couldn't believe it, I have never seen Vortex with an empty queue before .

Stealth successfully completed two test runs today around lunchtime. I'm no phsycic, but in my opinion, Stealth looked as though it might be ready for public operation tomorrow.

I have ridden Samurai twice this year, and both rides have seemed far more intense than in 2008. Is there a difference in the setting currently being used this year? Or is it just me?

I went on SAW today as well. When we got to the offload platform and got out, the ride broke down . I couldn't help but feel sorry for everyone who was waiting in the queue . How long did you guys have to wait for SAW?Also, I couldn't believe how great SAW is! Not just the ride, but the themeing as well. Top notch!

I visited Thorpe Park today, and have some information regarding ride closures and availability, that you may find useful. 1. Slammer was running complete tests runs successfully throughout the day. I can see it possible to be opening tomorrow. (I think today might have been the first day with so many successful test runs). 2. Stealth completed 2 successful test runs during the day. They obviously have the new part, and may possibly open the ride tomorrow. 3. SAW:The Ride ran smoothly throughout the day, however the ride did experience a couple of minor technical delays, each lasting around 15 minutes. 4. Loggers Leap suffered a technical problem for most of the day, however opened at around 2pm. Also, the average queue times for the day were as follows:SAW: The Ride - 20 minutes. Colossus - 15 MinutesNemesis Inferno - 20 MinutesSamurai - 10 MinutesRush - 5 MinutesVortex - 5 MinutesZodiac - 0 MinutesQuantum - 0 MinutesTidal Wave - 0 MinutesLoggers Leap - 10 MinutesRumba Rapids - 0 MinutesCarousel - 0 MinutesDetonator - 10 MinutesTeacups - 0 Minutes(Slammer, Stealth and MMBananaBoat were all closed today). Hope this is helpful .

It's anyones guess. I would say that it has a good chance. It has been filling up this week, but I havn't seen any boats going round the track as of yet.
  25. Paul replied to Artie's topic in The Past
When Slammer first opened, I noticed that even if the park was crammed with people, the queue for Slammer would only be around 15 minutes, whereas Colossus was around 90 minutes. Why does anyone think this was?
