  1. I think back row, far left is the best place to sit, especially when going through the zero-G roll (:
  2. I guess I'm more likely to be critical 'cos I ended up disappointed on Sunday haha! Surely that's gotta be a lot below average for the opening week or so of a ride though?
  3. So if we only count main season opening, Saw's only been open for two full days? That's pretty poor!
  4. Longest queue I've ever seen was for the Asylum - wasn't in the queue 'cos thought it'd be a better use of time to go on a ride again (obviously not 'cos I was too shook to go in The Asylum...), but I'm guessing it was at least three hours.
  5. I don't know if I'd want Saw to be a walk-on - I'm guessing you'd need at least a 20-minute queue to be able to take in all the scenery and stuff in the building section of the queue?
  6. Colossus leaving the lift hill - seems to be standard.Stealth's brakes. The platforms raising up on Depth Charge.Entering the lift hill on Inferno. The sound (and vibrations when you're in the queue) of Detonator travelling upwards.Tidal Wave hitting the water.
  7. Does anyone know if the DVDs will just be of the 90 seconds or so during which you're on the ride? And also, if they're filming during the dark section, will they have a flash or something? Just seems like that would ruin the atmosphere, although I'm sure all this has been thought of!
  8. Never got the appeal of Zodiac either, that just makes me feel really dizzy and a bit sick, especially when there's the smell of doughnuts wafting over when you come off it!
  9. Things always seem more exaggerated when you're actually on there - I haven't been on Saw yet, but from looking at POVs, it doesn't seem like the 100 degrees drop is much further than vertical (if at all), but I assume it feels like much more than vertical when you're actually on it!
  10. My opinion seems to differ from the majority of people as well. Rush just makes me feel sick, whereas most people seem to love it, and I absolutely love Detonator but most of my friends hate it!
  11. Dammit no metal fans ):
  12. I thought there were only two rows in the cars?
  13. Went on yesterday, seemed like it only reached its full height for about 3 or 4 swings before slowing down again - suited me absolutely fine 'cos I hate the thing, was forced on it by friends, but I could have sworn that during off-peak times the ride does go on for a lot longer (although the queue was still pretty short yesterday, half hour tops).
  14. Depth Charge or Flying Fish firstColossus lastInferno at least twiceDetonator 2 or 3 rides before the end of the dayAvoid Rush if possible
  15. Also, how depressing does Logger's Leap look when it's empty!
  16. I was meant to be going today 'cos I was originally meant to have the day off school, but then that got messed up so I ended up going yesterday - cruel fate etc etc, however I have just sent my letter of complaint so hopefully some free tickets shall be mine shortly
  17. Not sure when Rush opened but it wasn't at park opening (although I think it was pretty soon after), and Colossus wasn't open until at least 12.30/1ish, 'cos I distinctly remember testing with dummies starting while I was in the queue for Samurai at about 11 or so, and that continued for about an hour. When I first got in, I think the only rides open were Detonator, Samurai, Inferno, Flying Fish, and Depth Charge.
  18. Oh cool, that's a load off my mind then. I was thinking Thorpe might have tried worming their way out of it somehow by saying it's beyond their control or something, but that's alright if they're giving out free tickets. Considering Saw and Stealth were both closed (which I thought would have been the biggest queue-sappers in the park), the queues for the rest of the rides were actually pretty okay (10 mins for Inferno, yes please)!
  19. I've still got my TP ticket, reckon if I send a letter with that enclosed I'll get some compensation? Although I didn't buy it today, I used a Tesco voucher, reckon that'll still fly?
  20. Nope, where were they being given out? No-one told us, didn't see any signs or anything, and there were staff on the exit as well!
  21. Even though it was always pretty obvious that Saw wasn't gonna open today, I think it was pretty out of Thorpe to get the actors around the Saw area, and open the shop and the photo booth things - just gave false hope that it might open to people who aren't really au fait with this kind of thing. When I first arrived today, there could only have been about 5 or so rides open (went on Depth Charge first, didn't regret it ), so it wasn't just the lack of Saw that was annoying. I reckon an angry letter wouldn't go amiss, hopefully get some free tickets out of it.That said, I got chased by one of the actors who clearly liked my t-shirt (shouted 'MOTLEY CRUEEEE!' at me and chased me haha!); good to know I have the same taste in music as freaks on stilts.
  22. Looking goooooood! Sunday can't come quick enough! Originally planned to save it 'til about 2pm on Sunday to build some anticipation and so that the rest of the day wouldn't be an anti-climax - looking like it's gonna be an impossible plan to stick to though! What the link with the SERIOUS spoilers didn't say was whether there's actors in the actual queue - can anyone clarify this?
  23. I felt I had to comment on that Daily Mail site as well - the stupidity of some people really gets to me! ARGH
  24. I reckon if they do an official POV though, it won't feature the inside section (probably it'll just start from the main lift hill like Inferno's?), and I think that's what people will most want to see, so probably people will still try and get a video of the inside part.
  25. Even using different email addresses?
