It used to go up and around by the stall turn after the Zero G Roll, apparently you got some fantastic angles from that queue. Basically the ride was so popular when it first opened regularly getting queue's of 3 hours that they ended up adding extra queueing areas, obviously nowadays the ride doesn't pull quite the same queue's so a lot of them aren't needed and it just fell into disrepair really. I remember seeing some pictures of the ride taken from that queue but can't find them. Personally I would love for them to open it back up again as I'd rather queue there than in the wooden area near the first drop/lift. Although I doubt it considering how rusty the fences are and also how many weeds are in the path. You can see the disused queue in the background of that pic. Thanks TT for the image.
  2. Indeed They really have built it very, very quickly, even last Saturday there looked to be a bit to do.
  3. ^ Near identical plans to me Can't wait till the exams are over...
  4. I have no idea, also I wasn't sure if it was just for that day, or for the season or just from the 29th-6th.
  5. It appears the new African Experience is going to open on the 29th of May. Sounds good :unsure:Also
  6. If everyone did that, Thorpe would have hardly any visitors :POk, I'll admit, that was a little harsh
  7. All this theme music coming out is awesome, does anyone have;- Any Halloween Hocus Pocus Music from rides/areas- Mexicana theme- Rattlesnake theme- the Mystic East/Dragon Falls music ?
  8. You honestly believe Thorpe's queue's aren't as bad as Alton's ? I never say this but. LOL!If you dig long boring queue's that meander endlessly then ok Have you only visited Thorpe when it's quiet and Alton when it's busy? The majority of the rides at Alton have better throughputs and it's a bigger park, so people are spread out and a lot of people are walking. There is only one queue I think that is worth at Alton than any at Thorpe and that's Rita's and possibly Spinball's. The queue's are one of the things that ruin Thorpe for me personally.
  9. Woopsy, :unsure:Little late results but, Well Done Benin! Absolutely fantastic ideas for Bubbleworks, hopefully we'll see something done to it soon.Once again well done !And great entries by everyone, also, just to let everyone know, this was just a one off challenge as a very obvious idea popped into my head, therefore it will once again stop for a while at least.
  10. The ride really does need quite a bit of TLC, some areas of the track are hidden due to the amount of mould, but I agree with others a lick of paint is definitely needed. What colours do we think? I would personally go with a dark purple for the track and black for the supports.
  11. Oooh, looks like themed uniforms are slowly being introduced throughout the park!
  12. ^ When was the colour scheme changed ?
  13. I would personally expect it to be able to run longer than that. Apparently the service life of the coaster type is 25 years which is the length after which Big Bad Wolf had to close. However that had a lot faster/more forceful turns/drops and also hadn't had the kind of renovation Vampire had. Not only that, the things that caused BBW to have to close have apparently been sorted/prevented on other coasters of that type, so yeah I'd expect it to be around for a long time yet.
  14. Gosh, never noticed that! When were those photo's taken?
  15. Yesterday the mist during the first half of the tunnel was non-existent, but the exit was relatively filled, bit disjappointed it wasn't working as well as has been reported recently, but was still better than previous rides on it
  16. Voting closing tomorrow guys

    Rush

^ Indeed there's nothing wrong with it, like you say it amazes everyone that rides. However it could and used to be better, not by a huge amount, but it is noticeable.

    Rush

My ride today did indeed disappoint compared to the usual high standard, both swings looked to struggle, especially swing B which at times, barely made it 90 degrees. Rush is looking in terrible condition at the moment, and also, for those who are unsure of which is A and which is B, it is now written on each swing.
  19. Unbelievable trip today, I Went to Thorpe Park for the first time this year, left after an hour as it really does just suck compared to Chessington. At Chessington had an absolutely phenomenal day Look forward to pictures etc!Ride Count:Thorpe- Stealth (Front)Nemesis InfernoRushChessington-Fury x 3Rattlesnake x 3Vampire x 2Toadie's Crazy CarsKobraLorikeet Lagoon x 2Tomb BlasterBubbleworksSkywayAnd various others, Also entered LoTD for the first time :PJust a couple of pics
  20. Voting is now open, and will close on Sunday evening, BUTRemember you CAN still add to your ideas/enter between now and then.
  21. That must be it ;)And actually I find the cars and the restraints themselves comfy, just not smooth Similar situation with me I guess where I have no idea what people are talking about when they say Colossus is rough Will at least be able to see if it's been improved for this season on Saturday!
  22. To be honest, I would rather eat neither, I mean I love them both for a meal, but for a whole day! I'd rather be healthy
  23. The ride really does have an unbelievable "bumpiness" to it which I find unacceptable considering it's only just over a year old. I still enjoy the ride with this, it'd just be a lot better and mean more people enjoy it if it didn't have this quality. For example my dad refuses to ride it after his one go, and says he couldn't enjoy the ride or the rest of the day at the park because of it. The first drop is very fun And also, I have no idea what your talking about? New one, old one etc?
  24. Ah I can't decide between a few, but at the moment it's...
