  1. Indeed Europa are run by Mack, but for me, the real clincher is how they treat guests, with a fantastic viewpoint on throughputs, and the overall feel and cleanliness of the park... They also have something for everyone, and it's not just the rides that are the focus, the shows, the vibes, the look of the park are what set it apart from the majority... In reality, they only have a few 'quality' coasters out of the 11, but they are perfect for their guests... But for those who don't like big rides, there are walkthroughs, hidden dark rides and of course the shows... They just seem to know what people want from the park, hence why their 5 hotels have a 98% occupancy rate, meaning they need a 6th hotel to be built...

Hey look, an unladen testing train going slowly through a layout, it's such a shock... Tests will of course involve seeing what the minimum ride load can be... In a similar vein to Thirteen needing X amount of people to ride (14? I dunno, but there's a minimum limit), 8 on this one in the middle (which is in itself unlikely with actual riders) two rows seem to be that minimum amount... It still picks up a hell lot of speed on those drops...

Denmark, then a trip to Wembley... Zaha
  4. No more expensive than over here really... But then for the most part the stuff is slightly better quality... Take a few hundred...

    What's the trick then?
  7. I think only two of those are relatively doable at the current time, and that's removing the pre-show and lowering the fencing... Pre-show can even be re-jigged into a queue line video just so we can still have Chase dodgy accent Driver... Lapbars would probs require a bit of reduction of the amount of people per truck, as there's not much space in them (even for seatbelts, let alone lapbars)...

Printing out hotel confirmations and park tickets for Denmark... Woot woot!
  10. @Josh, I don't think Disney California reduced entry fees when the Adventure park turned into Construction Board Land... It's the usual thing hidden in the T&Cs of any park that covers them for such eventualities (not saying it's right to do so, just more they have it covered)... The worry atm is that the theming might not return (as there are previous examples at the park) or it just won't be of any viable quality... Whilst most of Merlin's thematic additions are quite decent, there's always a few parts which could've been better... Waiting game for this, but it's not one of hope...

Couldn't care less about the station, we have an exceptional ride and the Marmaliser to look at instead... The extra details as well
  12. There were a LOT of issues with the seatbelts as quite often they were either twisted up so couldn't come out of the holster or just wouldn't come out at all, so unresponsive and completely the opposite design style of car seatbelts, which I think is one of the issues, as people just try pulling them out when they need to half the time actually start from the base... Poor design indeed... Be interesting if they fit lapbars instead, although this would be problematic with small children (assuming it's a row-long one, individual bars would actually allow little ones to ride though, so that would actually be a must)... Just such a shame Chessie made a load of simple design errors with this ride, ranging from high fences so you can't see anything, to the addition of a squeezed in Pre-Show which doesn't do anything worthwhile, and the less said about the Platform the better...
  13. Not if you're one of the last people batched in... It's a very poorly laid out situation... And of course, there's the issue if you skip the pre-show, others follow, then all of a sudden you have a packed out queue to the loading platform... So... badly... done...
  14. Think the issue was that the various issues weren't considered as such until about a week before actual opening, hence the sudden amount of work being done... Things change in industries quite suddenly at times, especially when it comes to H&S legislation...

I agree, I've always though HIV to be one of the most under-rated coasters in the world... I blame TPR...

  18. Woodland Walk is Towers Hotels only, and is pointless since it opens at 10am these days... Gonna have to go to main entrance like everyone else...

New components in friction based noise (screeching because they are predominantly rubber) shocker! After Tonnerre de Zeus last year, that's nothing...

Dat pacing is... Wut? Little bit of head-bashing, but most rides have that to some degree going through inversions, such are the laws of physics... If that's the pace of the ride though, onto a winner...

So not all children who watch Newsround are over 1.4m and will then pester their parents to watch said show (IPlayer ftw) and then go to the park? Indeed, isn't Newsround later on in the day when most families are partly at home? Like, gone 5? If parent picks kid up from school they're bound to be at least AROUND to see it... Actually quite sensible at aiming towards the higher age range of kids... Who have the pushing power to the parents...
