  1. Well that's..... Flown up quick.....
  2. Do love the troll pic in that article...
  3. It'd probably be a bit nicer if it was on another page (like many other parks where they offer the add-ons AFTER you've selected the tickets, rather than seemingly with desperate abandon throw it in at the first round of negotiations)...
  4. Joined, Puncheon Above Level (Weight was too many characters )
  5. They'll just ask for more regular checks at an internal level... Anything even approaching a hairline fracture will be replaced instantly, as it's quite likely that this could have developed since the annual testing (assuming the American ADIPS works to a similar level as the UK)...

IF the parks got sold off, their success would pretty much be depending on WHO got them... I'd be more optimistic for Chessie's future under Plopsa then say Parques Reunidos (although I'm sure many would not be happy by the further cookie cutter areas that Plopsa would provide) because it would suit their market perfectly... HOWEVER, Thorpe under Plopsa would be completely wrong and arguably suit Parques Reunidos better... I think herein lies the rub, as it's unlikely that Merlin would sell them all off individually (and I also doubt they'd want rid of Legobland), so would there be an individual company willing to take on 3 parks where 2 of them desperately need high levels of reinvestment in infrastructure?
  7. Would we not rather they get their existing houses in order first before spending further monies?

It's a Vekoma thing, like pretty much every single one does the whole "stop, start, stop, start" thing when parking... Though perhaps they've fixed it with newer attractions? My mind is completely blank on the SFCs...

Not sure on any change, the park will have a lot of problems building anything else brand new over there because of the hotel on the other side of the fence and the amount of noise issues... Best thing would be another Vekoma refurb, but with a new lift system (I.e. drive tyres) and trains... If there was one thing that caused issues on 3 trains platforming wise it was the inability of the train to stop (and the poor staff training since the start of this decade #bitter)...

New trains would actually make the back rows accessible without requiring an in depth knowledge of yoga and attempting to keep blood flowing to squished legs... Plus would certainly make the lives of platformers easier... Can't imagine lifting those restraints aren't helping towards preventing any long term back problems...

Imagine doing an AHS maze and not featuring two of the best series of it (the other being Roanoke)...
  12. Cos this shows the lack of direction at the park? A full on scare attraction? At a park not exactly with the market for one? At one where story driven spooky (NOT SCARY) attractions are more suited?
  13. I thought the new entrance wasn't due for next year, could be wrong though... That's some distances between those parks though...

I'm trying to think of other B&M Inverts that could place in that list, and it's quite a struggle... I'd presume Alpengeist would, but Great Bear certainly wouldn't...
  15. Lol the new maze being a paid extra... Well done lads...

Imagine a world without clones though, only three SLCs to endure!

8 people per train at a Six Flags park?
  18. Benin replied to Aarron P's topic in UK Attractions
Even Andy Hine can't be THAT excited over a second hand Pinfari...
  19. Fun Fact: The boat ride around the lake used to be FOURTY-FIVE MINUTES long... This has not changed my opinion of this place, compared to the well-run and well-presented Nigloland so not far away, this is a poor RCT beginner level park...
  20. I'm still amazed that's the OFFICIAL image more than anything... Maybe Merlin told Microsoft they'd go to Apple if they killed off Paint?

Only delayed by... a year? Means I have to visit now

I presume these badges are much, MUCH cheaper to make than the Disney ones... It's weird that they sell both types of badges (I.e. pins AND pop) though, guess kids prefer the cheap plastic ones and us lot with more money than sense like the proper ones?
  23. If that's official artwork/advertising then things are worse than we think... Someone print screen it please? I want to see the exact post (and I can't do that because at work and not on FB)...
  24. Like balls is Chessington getting something akin to that, it's such an obvious fake (purely because the image isn't over-imposed to buggery like anything Merlin)... Like, LOOK AT THE CAUTION SIGN!
  25. There in lies the issue, cred running parks that don't necessarily warrant cred running (Belleweird has a decent number of zoo enclosures for example), Plopsa is a harder one but I mostly enjoy the atmosphere and randomly finding the Forest of Plop (another must ride)... Horses for courses, I've cred run a fair amount of parks, but I wouldn't look at places like the parks you visited as ideal ones for such a venture...
