The trouble with long cred runs that involve a tonne of driving is if you don't share it you can get super affected by it. Especially when most of the drives in between American parks are stupidly long. Doing 2 full weeks of it in Germany wasn't fun come the end of it.
 
I liked Hershey, definitely good to see love for Lightning Racer.

Kennywood is a good park, unsurprising that you adored it so much due to the historical nature of it...
 
Phantom's Revenge and the later airtime hills are ridiculous...

I liked DK, though I dont' remember thinking it was particularly compact... I'm also not a fan of them spiting Roar cos that was really fun, but jeez a fair amount has changed in that corner by V2 and Joker, Superman is the 3rd coaster they've had there since I went almost 10 years ago!

To be fair back when we visited in 2011 Movieland spited us due to midweek closure, so Mark can honestly not give a true opinion on the place...

You forgot the two fantastic dark rides in Garda, Ramses and Corsair...
 
I'd also now add in Movieland Studios, which is generally ridiculous yet charming in a weird way, and it's only down the road from Garda! Worth it especially for Magma, U-Boat Simulator, Kitt Jet, Terminator 2 and the multiple shows (the Rambo one in particular)... Plus a dangerous water park for those who want to complete the day...
 
There's also a Togo Stand Up in Italy should anyone visit, and I know certainly next time I go the home made place near Vienna is on the agenda...

That home made park thing looks absolutely amazing for all the wrong reasons... Might have to visit if I ever return to Italy (which won't be anytime soon)...

I think a lot of Phantasialand's 'issues' are with the older generation of rides and attractions that are crying out for updates... HOPEFULLY we'll see things like TotNH and Hollywood Tour scrapped and turned into things on the same level as Chiapas and generally the rest of the park...
 
Fortunately, even these lower quality filler rides are better than many others you see across the world... I cannot honestly think of an attraction to a similar scale and look as Hotel Tartuff at any park...

They've not got ride of the Music Battle Show have they? OMG disaster if so...
 
Walibi lacks a really class ride... Psyke Underground and Loop-Garou are alright if good rides, but nothing else is actually good...
 
They have a massive issue with locals as well, which is perhaps why the park is unable to get anything of a decent nature in recent years... Tis a real shame as I did like the vibe from when I visited, even if it was busy...

Isn't it strange that we have such a fantastic family park only 45 minutes from Calais?

There's just something about Heide I don't like... Colossos is over-rated immensely which doesn't help, Scream (which IS fab) was closed for my visit this year, and the park just seems to lack that certain something for me...
 
I cannot actually tell WHAT that thing is, but it's just there, nagging away, telling me that the park is just not that good... It's probably the lack of atmosphere coupled with some awful attempts at theming with some pretty average/crap rides outweighing the good ones... Flug is a perfect example of why I dislike Heide actually... And in hindsight that would've won a "Most Disappointing New Ride" Award...

Gotta love Asian parks, they look weird and wonderful...

Being a bad B&M is like being a bad Pixar film, it's still got some quality to it, but lacks certain aspects that made the older ones true classics...
It's nowhere near the worst B&M I've ridden (Top Deck at Great America takes that prize), and it's probably my favourite coaster at Thorpe... I'd take run of the mill over all the apparent record breakers the park also has anyday...

Wild Train is 1.3m and Formula 1 is 1.2m minimum, so they are the thrill end of the family market... Formula 1 especially has a wicked first drop and the overbanked turns were just weird, tonnes of airtime too...
Unfortunately with one train operation on Wild Train and only being able to walk along one side of Formula 1 an array of pics were hard to come by, especially given the limited time we ended up having in the park as a result of the dead car... It was slightly RCT (though not as bad as Walygator), but the rides felt reasonably bedded into the place with some themes linking into each other slightly...
Unfortunately we didn't see the Pirate Ship blessed by Jesus until we were leaving... Which clearly was the best thing the park had...

It lacks the ride line-up of parks of a similar size, but simply makes up for it by being full of quality throughout the rides...
It's not a park everyone would enjoy, but with the top tier quality dark rides and fun coasters there's enough to at least spend 2 days there, bearing in mind that on my visit 3 attractions were closed, including the massive show...
Certainly better than PA because it feels more natural and not awful...
Better than Europa is the harder one, but I feel like it's just better, purely on the relaxing atmosphere compared to how Europa does pack in the rides sometimes... Akin to Towers in many ways where you can just roam around with no rides near you and chill...
I can't comment on throughput quality as most rides were walk-on, operational standards were pretty average, nothing bad, nothing exceptional bar some Joris based interaction for the winning train...
Will it be on people's bucket lists? Nah, it lacks a true stand-out ride for that to be the case, or a general knowledge of the park as a whole... It can be considered the most visited hidden gem of a theme park in Europe...

Needs more Merlin put downs.

I dunno, John got put into a cage and according to Kristof/Jereon it sounds more like Face it Alone is ripping off Project Z but adding nudity because it needs to be 'edgy'...

Shambhala - Awesome, as good as I remember and a proper crowd pleaser.
Dragon Khan - Better then I remember. NOT samey, NOT too American. Just pure class from start to finish.
Furius Baco - Abomination in ride form. Not a single enjoyable moment for me in any row, any seat. Just atrocious.
