It is a bit of a joke, this is the fourth season running I believe that it has spent months closed. As much as I enjoy the ride, if it's causing all these problems then is it really worth keeping?

I don't want either to go, but I still think that Slammer should stay, it offers a unique experience (something that should be advertised more) and is definitely one of the scariest rides in the UK in the eyes of the general public. Samurai should be replaced with a brand new Top Scan IMO, but that's never going to happen.

BPB has revised it's staggered openings, meaning that everything apart from Valhalla and Grand National will now open at 10:30am (they both open at 11am), with a few rides and Nick Land open at 10am. This is a massive step up from the previous set up which saw just a few rides open until 11am and Valhalla and National not open until 11:30am (some rides were even 12 noon like Grand Prix), so well done to BPB for this - it's still not perfect but a vast improvement. https://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/park-guide/plan-your-day-out/ride-opening-times/

Very nice work! Can I ask what custom scenery you use for the rounded paths, and whether the peeps actually walk on them as such?

Complaints over being disappointed about it not being the main Madagascar characters, fair enough. But I'm sorry, how can people possibly complain over Penguins being scary?

Haven't they improved the queueline this year though? Sure I read somewhere that they have added some new theming in but I may have imagined it!

Condenscension? Not at all, I just simply said that as it's an amusement park it's likely to be a mish mash of themes rather than themed areas. Codenscension would be if I put "It's an amusement park, it's not supposed to have individually themed areas obviously." Really don't see what's patronizing about simply stating a fact.

It's not though, from my perspective I enjoy the parks (on a good day) because of the rides but not the way the parks operate most of the time, some of which is down to Merlin.

One thing I've picked up on is that Alton don't have the ride closing times on the signs outside the ride, so the public won't necessarily know that they are open later (not everyone checks before they visit).

Yes, it is good that they have extended, but then again should the "UK's leading theme park" really be closing any earlier than 6pm on weekends at all?

Maybe not 10pm, but anything below 7pm for the height of summer is unacceptable. They could always do what Oakwood do and have a few 10pm closes each week, and 6/7pm the rest of the week.

Depends on what they decide to open for ERT, what rides are on staggered openings (I've lost track on which rides open late now). There's no good way to go round the park now, I relied on SRQ's to make sure I got on everything, what with the removal of two of them and dismal opening times I think it's going to be quite hard to get on everything now, but with two and a half days you should manage it.
