My none enthusiast friend asked me today 'Is it true that Thorpe Park are getting an Angry Birds land?' I turned to her and said, yes, to which she just burst out laughing saying she has an Angry Birds Activity Park down the road from her (Sundown Adventure Land) so why on earth will she travel down to Thorpe Park to experience the same thing... I think that says it all. I was reading an interesting article on TST last night, all credits to Astro Dan for the interesting post, and though my experiences to Thorpe Park have been minimal, there is one thing that sticks out like I sore thumb... consistency. The truth is Thorpe doesn't have any, okay so Swarm Island, Colossus/lost city area, and small bits of the part are consistent with their themes, but on the whole it just seems to be blurred, and now they want to stick a kid brand in the middle of Amity Cove? That causing more harm than good! They're advertising three very different rides under one brand, Detonator - extreme thrilling... Dodgems - mild thrilling, 4D cinema - not so thrilling, so who are they trying to appeal too? I don't think Thorpe know themselves and are just trying to appeal to everyone at the cost of losing their identity. The best part of this is, they're still saying they are the nations thrill capital AND a resort... (Side note - I'm very excited for the dodgems though)

I was disappointed Mr Alex didn't beat my crown for 'Campest Member' but yet again, the my title hasn't be untouched! I shall be remaining in my glitter covered throne for another year! Thank you for voting me joint first for 'Most Dedicated' I know I don't go to ALL the meets but I do try my hardest to get my wee northern bottom down there once in a blue moon! But I shall be attending more often now! Also 3rd for biggest fangirl?! Damn I though I had that this year! Ah well, watch out Mer & Han, 2014 it will be mine!!

I am now... employed!! My first ever job, I am so grateful for the opportunity I got given by college to go and work there for work placement and at the end of it, they gave me a temporary Christmas job! Very happy Liam is happy!

Nice busy queues today! I saw Sonic Spinball go up to 130 minutes earlier today!

I think Scarefest was a highlight of the year for me... it was incredible! I can't put into words why, maybe because it was my first Alton Towers trip in the dark, maybe because of Scarefest but something about the atmosphere, mazes, lighting... Just felt so amazing. All three mazes scared the living daylights out of me, some scenes was just so intense I didn't know what was real anymore, and The Smiler in the dark front row! I'll explain more detail in a trip report Wednesday, but just wow, if you've never been Scarefest before, I suggest you go, ASAP.

From a personal point of view, I find seeing people in pain is much more scary than someone screaming down your ear, jumpscares are good, but a maze full of them just makes it become predictable, standing there, seeing someone either trapped in, or begging you, makes you feel out of control of the situation, that feeling of the unknown is far more scary than the insisted shock of someone shouting. That's what I'd like to see more in mazes, especially with Saw Alive, the unknown, not just actors hiding behind props screaming.

So my train tickets came through today... I'll be there! For my first Fright Nights & my first trip to Thorpe Park since September 8th 2012! Cannot wait for my second TPM meet! Now... to plan my costume!

To summarise this weekend in a few bullet points; Alton Towers waterpark is pretty epic! Even though I only got on three rides this whole weekend, one of them was a take-over ride on Th13teen! (And James' first ride on it!) So woop! DO NOT order the Chicken Fajita Wrap from Harvester again It was great to see everyone and I enjoyed my ½ of a TPM meet! I was really upset I missed Sunday Me + Chicken + Waterpark = Cannot wait to see you all at Fright Nights! Marc = Best person in the world! But seriously on the Saturday, this was a epic meet and I thank everyone for attending, and making this incredible! I cannot wait to see what the TPM meets hold in the future but after this weekend, they're certainly epic

It's been a whole year since I was at Thorpe Park! Thank you all for that amazing day, alot of changed in a year but this day still remains one of the best in my life so far, I'm excited to announce the next time I'll be down there is to experience the new Fright Nights! See you all there for 'Trolley Dolly goes Fright Nights!' also a little shout out for all those going to Alton Towers in 3 weeks time! Cannot wait to meet new faces & catch up with old ones! I'm shocked and surprised there isn't a 'The Hunger Games' battle happening on the beach Jokes aside, this looks insane! Very excited to see what they do with Cabin In The Woods! And I can see this being very successful! Best Halloween event in the UK? It just could be!

First time a airtime hill has been used on a wingrider model(?) That should be interesting! I certainly like the layout! and it seems they're squeezing alot into that space! Nice, shame about the use of white track though..
