Looks like wooden shipping containers to me!

Loggers itself is waaay beyond a lick of paint or basic maintenance though. The ride building has rotted away in places, it's really noticeable as you re enter in the log at floor height and it has completely rotted away from the floor. That's the bigger problem with not keeping up with maintenance, not only does it look bad at the time but it also lets the elements in to cause real damage in the future. Then the cost to repair is huge, a lot more than looking after it in the first place would have cost. Then Chessington happens.

Haha, I'm really observant huh? I guess my brain just wants to remember the clearly superior original announcement. I wonder if it shorter because that better fits the time it takes the ride to actually launch? Otherwise why not just replace the 'hold tight' with 'face forwards', if that was what was required safety wise.

Not exactly original, is it? 10 years ago there was this... ...which does the same thing, only better (if you'll excuse the poor quality of this upload). The Guetta thing sounds like two tracks stuck together, the bit that isn't bang bang (which is pretty good on its own) and the bang bang bit which doesn't go well with it and feels like it is just stuck on as a bit of a gimmick. It's Guetta, it'll probably be massive.

They knocked down a rather good (and not that small) log flume to make room for rage. I thought that was a bit of a shame, I know they are very tight on space but there were other things I'd have rathered they moved. But as a largely pay per ride place I guess the numbers didn't add up to make it pay, so I very much doubt we'll see one return. Starflyers suck, especially in windy coastal places where it'd spend half it's time shut. I really hope that doesn't happen, along with the dull looking Southend Eye, and they come up with something much better instead.

Man up! It is amazing, as long as you like that sort of thing. It must have been signed off so be within whatever rules there are to govern such things, but I would think it is right on the limit of the amount of sustained g's your are allowed to be subjected to. It is insane, in the best way possible.

Yes, it is just you! There are far too many lights in there as it is, losing the point of it being a dark ride. It is sooo much better with the light tower off and just the lasers on. I could go for some small localised lighting effects though, like a tunnel, but nothing that leaks a load of light out into the pyramid.

I like some of the ideas I'm hearing like those above, and it could be well good, but as has been said there's two main things that bother me. -No matter what else they do the rocks (or at least something like them) not returning will be disastrous for how the ride feels, it will be open and obvious. The way it used to disappear in and out of view repeatedly made it look and feel much larger than it was, and the close proximity of them made it feel faster than it was. -There is no way in the world it should be in that state now after being closed for so long. Cutting it this fine is just stupid regardless of what is happening off site, they've had ages; a lot longer then anyone ever had to build the much more substantial original I bet! It is certainly true that we should wait to see what happens before having an opinion on it, but it's equally true to say we have been shown nothing previously or now to give us any confidence in what they are doing. I have very little hope of being impressed.

Any fully grown person who has been on a chance toboggan coaster should know that there is no pain and discomfort like it. It somehow manages to hurt every extremity of your body all at once, and when it's not hurting it isn't even much fun. An impressively bad ride.

As per my profile one of these beauties is what really kick started my ride obsession. I love them and think it is a real shame the rides like these as fillers are so rare in theme parks. I know not everyone round these part would agree with me but not everything in a static park has to be unique or new or even heavily themed, just being fun is enough, and these certainly are.

I had given my car keys to someone else and was buried in paperwork by then, so it wasn't me! I wasn't really listening to my radio but I doubt it was anything too exciting or I'd have noticed.

Can't be there as I'm working. I cover the area you'll all be driving through to get there though, if you see a police car on the a13 between the m25 and basildon it might be me, so give me a wave!!

Oh **** off Merlin. If you've got to get rid of the great deal because it costs you too much (it doesn't, although they could see the free refills as a missed opportunity, but they certainly don't make a loss on the less than a penny refill) then do it, but don't try telling us they are 'magical improvements'. Make things worse, tell us they are better, yeah, I'm sure no one will notice. Tools.

Does Saw Alive still float, or is it fixed? It looks incredibly low to me, but it could be because the bottom of the boat is painted black and the picture is not great.

A Premiere Ultimate Flight clone? I really don't like the look of that ride, seems like a decent effort on the theming though. Another Corkscrew standing as a monument I see.
