  1. Christ don’t go giving them ideas!
  2. Yesterday they only had VR on the rear 3/4 rows - we were in row 4 and the VR packs on the restraint had completely gone. Dispatches were still quite slow as the ride batcher was asking everyone if they wanted to ride with VR then assigning them rows accordingly. I like that they’ve bought back the on ride photo point and it’s kind of funny to see pics of people with the VR head sets on. Had an embarrassing moment when my restraint would not open at all and the op was giving me tips over loud speaker on how to get out ? - everyone else had got off and I was just sat there feeling stupid- when I got on and pulled the restraint down, the ride host tightened it with this weird key thing and they had to use the key to get me out at the end - awkward when people who are waiting to get on are staring ?
  3. Not done any lates yet but think I may be going Thursday with my niece - good to hear Saw Alive has opened as my niece @that.girl.soph has an unhealthy obsession with Billy ?
  4. Slammer and Loggers (I say Loggers because I’d be surprised if it makes a splashback at this stage). Slammer for its uniqueness and disorientation and Loggers because flumes are fab and that drop ❣️ Ah also WWH as mentioned by others - such a classic ride
  5. I really do hope they scrap the VR - not only does it slow down dispatches but the VR itself is pretty bad quality - the only upside being that if you are wearing the VR you don’t see the manky tunnel. Ive only ever done the VR twice because not only do I have a weird ass phobia of outter space but I feel like it takes away the whole ride experience - I really enjoyed Air but I do love the Galactica soundtrack. If they ditch the VR will they stick with the name Galactica and if so the only real theming is from the VR (ok and the portal).
  6. The fountains weren’t working yesterday either - it’s the best part of the ride ?
  7. I miss the original bat trains - felt a lot smoother and just added to the themeing of the ride. Theres one particular part of the ride which really smacks my back regardless of where I sit (with the Vekoma trains) and it hurts like a bi#%h.
  8. Am I right in thinking RR is 2 years older than Ripsaw? Pretty sure Rameses was installed in 1995 and Ripsaw 1997 (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m surprised Rameses has lasted as long as it has but it’s nice to have it at the park as it’s the only thing that goes upside down and remotely thrilling. I remember the days when the queues would hit over 2 hours (sod that although when it opened I waited 2 hours for my sister and her friend to ride it ?). Went on this twice today - second time I got so drenched my hair was soaked but at least it was a warm day - last time I went to CWOA the fountains weren’t even on and I was boiling. Really don’t think RR has long left - I personally really like it but it’s pretty ancient for a flatty and today it had several issues where it started a cycle and just stopped pretty much before the ride had actually got going - the ride cycle we got was short but sweet - 4 or 5 flips then getting a soaking though I do miss the days of 2 cycles I hope when it’s time is up that it doesn’t end up SBNO - I hate rides that are just there rotting *cough Loggers* although given the choice between that or a bloody inflatable chuffing game thing a la Ripsaw I think I’d rather just see RR sat there.
  9. I had one of the worst rides on Vampire today - it was so jolty and not a good idea wearing sun glasses as it bloody hurt when my head got bashed - was in the middle(ish) but later on at the very back of the train it was nowhere near as bad ?

    Samurai

Not done Samurai on my past 2 visits to TP. Last time I went on it a couple of months ago it was flipping about like crazy and I started feeling a tad queasy ?. I’ve never done the far outter seat but wonder if there’s a huge difference - I nearly always sit on the furthest inside but did once venture to one in from the edge and almost passed out ?

    Slammer

If you go to “The Past” section of the forums there is a thread about Slammer - your post might be moved there. Can’t see Slammer coming back as it’s been sat doing nothing for over a year ?
  12. Only 20p for the toilet? They could easily charge £1 then they could add a fine if anyone is caught tinkling in a bush ?
  13. Hey all - my lovely niece has just joined the forums @that.girl.soph welcome!
  14. I dont understand anyone paying full price to get in - £50 for a day?! When there are so many BOGOFS floating around or booking online to cut the cost. So tell us.....how long was Stealth stuck up the top for ?
  15. Not done Speed but have done Rage and Saw and the drops look a lot more intense than they actually are - hope you manage to do it
  16. stuck at the top of stealth ??
  17. The more I ride TWD the more I enjoy it - think I’ve done it 6 or 7 times now so not that many. Went on Tues with my niece and we rode it twice - the first time the group we were with ran down the corridor and the group behind were nowhere to be seen so we ended up having the train to ourselves. After our second ride just as we were exiting I heard over the audio “X - ride on a wave of light and sound” which made me laugh a bit. I like that you don’t have the queue inside - it used to get so hot in that building although in this heat at the moment, outside isn’t much better. I think this is my preferred version of the coaster - I only ever rode X:/NWO once as it gave me horrific motion sickness and X I think I just rode it so many times it got boring - which could potentially happen with its current form. Just a shame that younger ones who enjoyed X can no longer ride if they aren’t tall enough
  18. swarm bag room today - awful - massive queue to get bags back and the girl working there couldn’t have look less interested if she tried. Also the queue for the actual ride was about 40 mins but the station was pretty empty. Colossus - still slow dispatching - painfully so. Stealth and Saw by far the best. Ride availability today was good with only storm turd down for a long time - park wasn’t too busy (I’m guessing due to the footie and tennis). I'm not speaking for all staff here but so many seem miserable - ok today it is flaming hot which I’m sure must be horrible to work in but only one person asked how our day was and that was a girl working in the Colossus shop

    Football

I only ever watch the Euros and World Cup but in recent years kind of gone off of it (people like Rooney annoy me but I don’t know why?!). Really got into the past couple of games and last night the amount of profanities that came out of my mouth was shocking - gutted we didn’t go through to the final but England did so well and I love Southgate as manager - such a gent. I can only just about remember Italia ‘90 but the last time I was that into the footy was Euro 96. Nothing against Croatia but I hope France win - I always back France once England get knocked out of the tournament so fingers crossed for them
  20. Miss you Roodie x

  21. Agree about galactic-air, Swarm or Inferno for good starting Coasters. Rameses you’ll be fine on - I rode it a few years before properly conquering my fear of coasters - and before I discovered motion sickness tablets - so I’m pretty sure you won’t feel ill on it (I once was sick after I missed a dose of my anti sickness meds and rode Quantum ?). Rameses is ok but you only get one cycle these days - that said when I went on it a couple of weeks ago we got a good few flips on it but the water fountains weren’t working and it was a scorching hot day. It’s definitely one of the tamer upside down flats I’ve done and a good one to start with. Much like Slammer (RIP) I think RR looks more intimidating than when you are actually on it
  22. This actually made me laugh out loud - thank you ? Which emoji? ?
  23. I went at the beginning of Sept last year (5th & 6th) and the longest queue was for Taron which was around the 60-90 min mark but we were staying in Matamba so had ERT at the end of both days. Everything else was max 20 mins (if that) - we did use one of our fast passes from the hotel for Winjas only because we needed to use the passes
  24. Completely agree - can’t even begin to imagine witnessing people trapped on a ride where the outcome is likely to be fatal and being unable to do anything - horrific - even more so if it’s a loved one
