Agree with you - also I’ve never got hugely wet (sometimes not even a drip of water on me) on Rumba and it’s closed due to being a seasonal attraction. Why the hell do they decide to keep Tidal Wave open when really to enjoy TW it has to be really hot ?

Tulley VIP is great - I was lucky enough last year that @Roodie got us both VIP passes which mean zero queuing and being able to get on things multiple times - though last year we only did chop shop once (which last year I was kind of ok with) and this year it traumatised me so I think you are brave @MattyMoo going through it 4 times - I think it would finish me off! @Stuntman707 - I used to be ok with chainsaws until a couple of years ago and the fact it was obvious that I was terrified (and at the front) this year didn’t help but if you show fear to scare actors they love it and will just target you more ? definitely go in it but make some other poor sod go in front if you can ? That actor with the knitted outfit on made me laugh and reminded me (I don’t know why) of a character from The Mighty Boosh. Also I didn’t realise until I just saw that pic that it has knitted boobs ?.

I saw you as we were waiting to go into Creepy Cottage but we were with the peasants in the main queue ? The woman on the stilts fascinates me - how the hell does she not fall over?! The 3 nurses were really interacting with guests in the queue for Covern. And I love the Frankenstein guy. Just the way the actors are with guests is brilliant and such a laugh

Went to Tulleys on Saturday and despite the rain it was fab. Chop Shop had me screaming and crying then I burst into tears at the exit - the actors in there are bloody terrifying and as much as I nearly ? myself, it did what it is meant to do and be scary. I’ve never screamed in a horror maze before or been so terrified (I thought Sub Species last year was bad when I burst into tears after the maze but this one I was crying throughout most of it ??) Haunted Hayride is still my absolute favourite - so unique and fun but also quite scary in places. Didnt bother with the hooded maze as they do nothing for me other than make me struggle to breath and sweat profusely. Really enjoyed The Colony and Coven aswell. The others are good but stand out ones for me would be Chop Shop (even though I don’t think I could do it ever again), Haunted Hayride, Colony and Covern. I like the fact that they are all free flow and all are decent length mazes - something that Thorpe could do with taking note of. The roaming actors are brilliant - great with guests and really adds to the atmosphere. When I was sat having a coffee there were a group of girls behind us and one of the clowns went up to them - one of the girls was terrified of clowns and he turned round and was having some great banter with the group - though when he said to the girl that was scared “don’t look under your bed tonight....I’m gonna make a sweater out of your skin” she started crying ? but the actor was fab and ended up making her laugh. Finally Circus of Horrors - wow - I’ve never seen them live before and wasn’t expecting much but the show was brilliant - really well put together and hugely entertaining - if I’d had time I would have happily paid to go and see the show again. I know some people were understandably disappointed that it was hinted that there would be a new maze but I personally think Circus of Horrors is perfect for Tulleys and it gives more variety than adding another maze - a new maze would be nice but I would personally prefer them to have Circus return and totally retheme a current maze - such as the clowns one which I think is one of the weakest. Ive not done a huge amount of Halloween attractions - literally Tulleys, Howloween, fright nights and Scarefest but Tulleys stands head and shoulders above the others in terms of theming, acting and variety of mazes and attractions. Finally, staff at Tulleys were so friendly - the only slight downside to the evening was the rain but that can’t be helped.

That might explain the awful stench I walked into when waiting to put my bag in on Stealth - I’ve never held my breath for so long it was THAT bad ?

Think you just go to the picsolve website where there will be a place to enter the photo code (which will be on your receipt) - or you can get the picsolve app and put in the code on that
-
Wow I’m slow didn’t even notice that ? - that’s pretty bad considering what they are charging for each FT package. Maybe it’s to push people to fork out £150 which I personally think is a downright greedy price
-
They’re charging £150 for ultimate??!! Jeez. Totally agree with you - would be good if they did individual FT for the mazes but I guess this way makes them more ££££
-
£10 for one and I think 2 for £15. And you get a code to download the picture.
-
That’s a good deal but only gives you 30 mins to ram as much food down your neck as is humanly possible - then potentially see it again shortly after ?

I’ve seen - it’s daylight robbery ?

I did wonder if staff have been spoken to recently as on Saturday my RAP card got signed at EVERY ride which has never happened before.
-
HOW MUCH?!!! ?

For the past 2 seasons (2017/18) I’ve had a RAP due to anxiety which at times is really bad. I guess I “look” “normal” but then so do a lot of other RAP users so in that respect, you can’t just assume someone is not disabled if they aren’t in a wheelchair. However I agree with a lot of what has been mentioned here - filling up trains with RAP users is a complete joke and something I experienced on Vampire a couple of months ago - it shouldn’t get to the point where they fill and entire train up while people from the main queue who have been physically queuing have to stand and watch and probably quite rightly get annoyed. Also in the event of a breakdown or evacuation, a train full of RAPs would potentially be a nightmare, hence why it SHOULD be just one RAP user per ride. Another issue is that not all staff will sign the RAP card and put a time on it, essentially making it equivalent to fast track in a way. Some staff are really on the ball and others just don’t bother - the point of RAP is that it is a virtual queuing system but if cards aren’t being signed then you can essentially go straight from one ride which may have a 90 min queue onto another ride and that is extremely unfair on those in the main queue line. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they changed the rules around obtaining RAP and also the amount of helpers - currently you can have up to 3 helpers on one pass but I can see this changing to just one helper which I personally wouldn’t have a problem with but I’m sure a lot of RAP users would kick off. The park I think are generous allowing up to 3 helpers but maybe if they adopted a +1 helper maximum it would make a difference to the lengths of the queues. Currently they accept a doctors note as long as it states specifically that the person has problems queuing etc - the problem with this is what’s to stop someone from literally forging a doctors note? Due to patient confidentiality there is no way that Thorpe (and the other parks) could find out a persons medical problems and I do wonder how many people would actually be ok in getting a RAP deceitfully - probably quite a few. The only thing I can think is to ask for a doctors note and proof of disability (PIP etc) but then not every disabled person gets PIP so it’s a tricky one. Since using RAP I’ve witnessed a couple of things which really peed me off - one occasion being Galactica at AT - not only did the staff member not sign the RAP card but the RAP user took 5 people on with him (2 more than should be allowed) so there was a RAP on the back row with helpers and the other 2 joined a different row which is pretty much queue jumping. Another time a woman was with 2 kids, got the RAP card signed (she was wearing the wristband) and then she walked off and the kids went on the ride?! Another thing is merging RAP and fast track which I think is unfair on both parties - it extends the queue which most RAP users struggle with and, on the flip side you have people who have PAID to get on a ride quicker being put in the same queues as RAP users which extends their wait. Wow I’ve typed an essay ?

Had 3 goes on Saw Alive on Saturday and the first time the person giving safety instructions never mentioned hands on shoulders so half of our group ended up way behind - noticed that on our second and third go he specifically said to keep hands on shoulders of the person in front so I’m just guessing that people got split off from their groups and potentially caused a bit of a hold up. I would prefer if it was free flow as I hate doing the conga line and shuffling along - even worse if the person in front is walking too fast! Lucky! We had 2 really not scary actors - hopefully he returns full time in the first bit - last year the actor/s playing that role were really good and it was a fab start to the maze Cant remember if I mentioned in my waffly post but we did Platform once in the light and once in the dark. On our “light” go there were just 6 of us in our group and I could see where all the actors were before they jumped out - this maze is definitely one to do in the dark. Also on our first go, at the end of the tunnel (in a tent room thing) we had to form a circle to “summon” the spirit of a bride who then jumped out screaming which I thought made a better ending than just...walking....through.....a......tunnel.... with nothing at the end and it felt more like a story - also scared the ? out of everyone. But when we went through in the dark there was no summoning and it was just walking.....through.....a.....tunnel - I love P15 but it definitely needs a proper ending

I really liked Living Nightmare last year and the beginning with Negan was a great start to the maze - I never did Living Nightmare Extreme back in May so no idea if he was in there but I did have a run through of LN in the summer which they opened for a bit until Saw Alive was ready and again, no Negan or photo. Though yesterday was a preview so fingers crossed he returns with his baseball bat ?
-
After doing Dead Creek in the light (and there was no chainsaw part) plus Living Nightmare which I prefer to call Living Sh£&emare, I was feeling decidedly meh but hadn’t built up any expectations at all and went in fully expecting it to be naff (that way you avoid being bitterly disappointed plus I’m just a bundle of pessimism). Living Nightmare had 2 females in the first part who weren’t scary and there was no photo point but that could change. I much preferred last year with matey and his baseball bat. At the end, my niece and I were way ahead of our group so the actor asked where everyone was and I said they were dead!) so she just told us to escape so we strolled our casually! Thankfully things got better after doing Platform in the dark (so much better than when it’s light), Saw which I love because I always think it smells of bacon in there (though I walked into a horrific stench of body odour towards the end so it was more like bacon and onions) and surprisingly Blair Witch - I expected zero from BW going by past run throughs but it is SO much better - only thing I would say is that I’d be surprised if no one either falls into a bush, falls out of the shed, or trips on the flaps at the end but maybe I’m just clumsy. There were loads of actors in there and they were fab. It’s much shorter than before but a lot better IMO. The clowns etc were brilliant and interacting with guests so well. They were on the bridge at the end of the evening chasing poor sods who decided to run - it was funny to watch though. Throughout the afternoon and evening we saw them several times and they really scared some people. When I heard that Big Top was not going to be there this FN in maze form I thought it would be complete ? but actually turned out a lot better than I had anticipated - plus Vulcan Peak and Do or Die weren’t open yet so there is a lot more potential. I think once FN starts fully and the nights start getting darker, then the atmosphere will add to it all, plus FN audio etc and the actors getting accustomed to their roles it could be a decent year. So yeah for me I was pleasantly surprised

Wickerman is a fantastic coaster and goes to prove that a coaster doesn’t need to have a ton of inversions or gimmicks to be brilliant. Totally agree regarding maintenance - The Smiler station/queue line looks bloody awful and neglected and this is a ride that only opened 5 years ago. I swear that’s the reason that TP like the run down look a la Saw, Swarm, TWD. Although they need to keep things looking good (and effects working) I think anyone caught damaging theming should be chucked out if caught - maybe that’s harsh but it really creams my corn that some people have no respect - an example is when I saw a girl ripping a bit of a poster by the door to the pre show on DBGT - I was so close to saying something but her nails were like a bloody weapon and I didn’t want to risk getting my eyes ripped out. One of the things that stood out for me (among many) when I visited Efteling and Phanny land last year was the lack of graffiti- sad that I should notice but you see it everywhere in U.K. parks (notible exception being Paultons). As for Thorpes next coaster - I’d love to see a woodie on the loggers site - well I’d love to see loggers return but that ain’t going to happen! And with it being wood they could call it loggers leap and brand it as a worlds first coaster named after a former ride which has been sat neglected for 3 seasons. In all seriousness I think WM has been a huge success for Towers and a ride similar at Thorpe would be fab - with a slightly lower height restriction it could potentially entice the family market which at the moment is lacking especially in coasters since the retheme of X - you’ve got the big coasters and then Flying Fish so a coaster in between that is thrilling but also fun and not overly scary would be an option. Something along the lines of Joris en de Draak at Efteling would be fantastic

Do bears ??? in the woods?

When I was at the park last Sunday (not the one just gone) they were advertising for fright night actors via the big screen at the entrance - would have thought they’d have got all they need already for rehearsals etc but apparantly not

I’d be more inclined to go for 1990s - The Golden Era 2000s - The ??? Era ?

Made the same mistake with my niece on Tomb Blaster when she was about the same age but it was the snake that pops up that scared the ? out of her ? As for HPH - meh it’s been naff for years - hope the keep the farting chair though ?
