So this week I: - Got a 1st in my first report of Year 2 - Got a job with one of my lecturers (£8.12 an hour, nothing to complain about) - Organised a meeting with a volunteer service, which will enable me to gain experience with vulnerable populations (experience I need for a Masters degree). - Got to see my mum and family So all in all a pretty good week Oh, and it's mine and Ian's anniversary on Monday, so I'm really buzzing about life right now!

126... But a good chunk of those is due to having a younger sister! The 00's Disney films are pretty appalling.

But the mood doesn't need lightening...

I haven't gone running around shouting about my private life, but... This summer my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fast forward to now and she's finished her chemo, is due to start radiotherapy in a week, and is doing really well! She hasn't been given the all clear yet but after the initial surgery she was told things are looking positive, and she was given extra treatment as a preventative measure. As much as I could rant about how cancer is horrible, blah blah blah, I don't see the point. I'd rather focus on how well my mum is doing than fixate on the fact she was diagnosed with it in the first place. Proud daughter right here!

So this gem popped up on my FB newsfeed earlier. Apparently the definition of anniversary has changed.
  8. Yeah but last weekend before Christmas = super rammed!
  9. Y'all realise London is going to be rammed that day, right?

Wow it's been a long time. The phrase means to be very angry over something. Have to admit it took me a while to remember what the answer is!!
  11. And yet I am sitting a unit named "Individual differences and psychometrics"... No it's not an approach, but there are different approaches to it. Either way, everyone is different...
  12. Happy Birthday my awesome IanNem!
  13. Some people are just like that. Someone I go to uni with will constantly tell you that your opinion is wrong. You can't get on with everybody - personality traits can and will clash. Individual differences and shiz...

    http://whatrhymeswithhug.me/# Totally cracked me up.
  15. It's okay, I got ID'd for painkillers when wearing my work uniform, despite the fact that I had a name badge and security pass around my neck. You have to be 16 to buy painkillers. I'm 19, and people constantly think I'm older. But oh well, life goes on...

All I'd heard about this coaster is that it's rough and you will come off it feeling destroyed. I've now been on it twice and both were smooth rides (except for that jolt, which really is nothing). Even the "dodgy" train (train 4) was absolutely fine, a bit of vibration but certainly nothing to moan about. All you people saying Smiler is rough need to man up.
  18. I've got a similar thing... 8 + 3 = 11, which is exactly the number of years between 1983 and the year I was born (1994).
  19. We flew Stansted to Reus, taxi to park (28 euros, about 10 mins), and we're staying at El Paso, which is the all inclusive hotel. Length of time really depends on if you want to rush around or take your time and do things slow.

Desperate Housewives Family Guy or American Dad?
  21. Showed that picture to Ian and it's definitely not him! But I have to admit I had to look twice - separated at birth perhaps? O.o
  22. Ed, Edd & Eddy was my childhood tbh
