Now that is a great model. Wouldn't mind giving Merlin my money for that piece of art

There doesn't seem to be any hang time on the first inversion which is one of the best things about The Swarm. Being on the 8th row will provide a great pull through the first drop though and exit to the first zero-g. I don't get why the drop on this seems less dominating than The Swarm at only 7 feet smaller in height. At least we know there's a bit of theming on the way so it's not a traditional Six Flags car park theme.

They've still got to add the keyhole effect which will have to go through clearence tests. I think Six Flags just wanted to use their new toy straight away as it opens in 6 weeks. We'll see facades just with very little detail to us as we've been spoilt with The Swarm's trains.

The last B&M wingrider to be built for 2012 has begun testing. Unfortunately it is only an image but hopefully we'll see a video soon. If you hadn't worked out, credit goes to Six Flags Great America's twitter.

Just returned from another trip to Thorpe Park (7th this season). Upon arriving at 09:40 (20 mins before they were supposed to open) they were open meaning the Swarm had already developed a queue of 40 mins. The queue line is really fun to be in as it seems to move really quickly. Being able to watch the ride helps and the fly through the tower is really effective and scared many people. It was running both trains from the begining and most of the time the trains were ready to dispatch whilst the other was just over the entrance meaning excellent throughput. We then headed over to Colossus for a 30 min wait. This ride is easily the best landscaped in the park. The way the path rises and falls just like the ride. It comes so near to the queue at some points it's amazing. It has also grown some nice foilage over the years which just adds to the lost city theming of uncared for. The best way to ride this ride is to lean forwards so you don't bang your head but I've never been affected by the roughness and it is just an overall great ride. We then wandered over to Saw- The headache which had a 90min queue so we passed and did Stealth. The park are really on top of queue jumers this year with a group of 7 being escorted from the queue for doing so. After a slight breakdown we were on. This ride is so simple and effective that you rarely hear the words was that it. We then had some lunch and bought fastrack for Inferno as it is only £3 which I though was pretty reasonable as we didn't want to queue 70mins. The queue line shop looks great and the roof has been done using the same style that's on the entrance signs roof. After putting are bags in the cabinet thing we went to our seats to see disabled people. We told a member of staff who told them to get off as they had just walked through the exit gate. This ride is just simply great and keeps the legendary Nemesis name high (when it's not covering you in rust). All of the wheel covers have been replaced but are flameless at the moment. We returned to the Swarm island after a foot massage on Storm Surge. The queue for Swarm was advertised at 90min thus meaning there was a member of staff selling fastrack. The queue was only 40 mins in real life so we saved ourself £12 (2 front row). As I had yet to do it this season we did Rush. It is still squeaky but now has it roar sound again and seems to be smoking. After seeing Rushes blue cherry picker being used for Quantum we went on Loggers Leap, Rocky Express and Rumba Rapids as it's had it's restriction removed and left. Photo time. For an area in dorught these plants look well waterd. That explains it all. It's leak surge. Don't hit the shop Colossus. Don't hit me. Let's have a look at Thorpe's latest pun. Oh no it's broken. Firget what I just said. Thank you all for reading and I will leave of a picture of some wheels for yoy wheel nerds out there.

Bruno Mars had a Grenade, and Tiao Cruz had a Dynamite, so they both threw them at Katy Perry who exploded like a Firework. The bang was so loud that the Black Eyed Peas forgot The Time, while Rihanna had memory loss and ran around saying Whats My Name. Eminem looked around and said I'm Not Afraid, then Willow Smith began to Wip Her Hair, which scared The Far East Movement who began to fly like a G6. Nelly then woke up and sighed as he said it was Just A Dream.

Brilliant review. Really describes the whole ride in a great depth. Love the first photo of the train going through the inline.

I voted excellent. It's what the parks been waiting for, a great story, theme and ride experience. Absolutely amazing.
-
I noticed this yesterday. Hopefully a revamped entrance but it's probably for a sales point like on Swarm, Saw and Colossus.

When I left the park today after the Swarm ERT they were testing the swing closest to the airgates. The other swing (closest to the control cabin) had test dummies in so shouldn't be long until we see it open, even if it is only one swing.

Thank you ever so much Marc for organising this with the brilliant Thorpe Park who let it occur. It was amazing. Six rides on The Swarm one of which was my first ever. Great ride, great time and hope to do it all again soon on another meet.

Happy 10th birthday Colossus! Can we have an extra loop for each additional year from now.

That area is one of the possible locations for the 2015 coaster but it is also a possible location for a flat ride according to the MTDP.My guess is they are getting all the ground work (infilling) done for the 2015 coaster in advance as building around a flat would just cause problems.Does anyone else think that we'll be saying goodbye to the carousel and banana boat if the 2013 ride goes where miss hippo safari used to be.

Leviathan's begun testing. And there's a POV.
