  1. Now you mention it, the floor near truckers was made uneven at Chessington recently. That's the biggest ground breaking they've done for a while
  2. Bah!!!!!!!! Beaten to it by coasterdude (was about to post that same pic) Looks very good, definitely an improvement over Beastie. Would like to see a few more bigger bits of theming if I'm being picky; but aside from that looks very good.
  3. Considering this week and next I have 70% of my 2nd year work due and a piano exam tommorow, my Uni's school of arts office have really been salting the wound recently, 1/ email on Tuesday saying I've submitted something for a module I haven't been enrolled for (it needed renaming and several emails to sort out) 2/ Email today they had not received my latest piece of work (I submitted yesterday) which they had apparently kinda lost in translation (which was eventually found) 3/ there's been lots of problems with submission lately which considering this is my busiest week and I've not had any problems with work submission is really annoying, something is really up with my work ATM. 4/ I have three more pieces of work to submit before the end of next week. If any of them gain similar problems I'm definitely going to lose my s*** 5/ whilst my department does also require online submissions too, physical copies for everything are still escential and withouth can lead to a NS (f). This is 2015 ffs
  4. It's gone, another ride of my child hood gone! Hopefully this dark ride though will be really good for such a loss of a classic. Fingers crossed the reason it's been taken down carefully is so it could possibly return in the future (cough cough get rid of samurai).
  5. It wipes the floor with those (cough cough zodiac & Samurai)For a ride sign it looks fairly good.
  6. I want to ban clouds!

  7. Long overdue, but there's only one photo to summarise Chessington's opening days this year Having all the main rides down for opening except Falls, Tombs [which are in an awful state] and Scorpion [if you even call it one], isn't a great start. Least they've upgraded the £10 return to a complimentary one which for the amount of main rides down [about 20% of the park] isn't very good.
  8. Can't wait to join you all (eventually) Wow! Just realised how many are going. Hopefully we'll get a few takeovers during the day
  9. Themes at Chessington in five years time 1/ African adventure 2/ Lost Temple/shrub/building 3/ Abandond land
  10. Welcome to the forums Celia Mae I'm Matt Creek, the biggest fan of disney
  11. As long as I'm able to get to there and most of the main rides are open, I'm there!
  12. Three of the six main attractions closed at the start of the season (if you include Scorpion), not a very good start here at all considering they've had weeks to sort these things out snd get them ready. Makes Thorpe's closed rides almost forgivable. Glad I'm finally hopefully getting to some proper leading parks this year (starting with DLP).
  13. Dropped his bag on the tea cups on the first open day of 2015
  14. This is definitely very good news, should make a 'presumably' rough ride much smoother. Now they should do the same with Stampida (burn those Kumbak trains with fire).
  15. I think Fins on this ocassion is the best choice for reasons already stated. I've looked around to find out about Staines Creams and all I know currently is that it will open on the 3 or 4th week of March, so could be a close call (unless someone can confirm on the day). Creams is good
  16. Features a cartoony character in his avatar Oh, wait.....

    The Blade

This is great news (for now), as it shouldn't really have to close until 2016. If only towers could now learn from all their other mistakes and start running their park like the world class resort it deserves to be.
  18. I think for a (young) famiky show at the park, it looks very good and sounds like it's a step forward from PTP.
  19. For a Merlin standards dark ride [like experience], Sub Terra is quite a good addition to the park [bar it's mediocre queue where the only interesting thing is watching the monorail trains pass]. I think for a park that 'appears' to claim it's world class and on a par with parks such as Phantasialand & Efteling [both which are better], It's very disapointing that a park of Tower's prominence in the uk/europe is doing these petty cuts just so their owners can get a little more cash especially at a time when the park is actually seeing increased visitor numbers. They should actually be improving the ride lineup and hours, not cutting corners with staggered openings, ERT lineup reduction and closing one of it's veteran ride's [even if it's likely to close properly when SW8 construction likely begins next year]. Whilst they have their own problems, at least Thorpe [as we know] haven't cut back on costs. If anything they've actually increased their budget as apparently they're investing more in to this year's Fright Nights.
  20. Sounds like it has great potential with a story like setting and incorporating many key elements of the franchise. However lets hope there are not cut corners and the other dream work films don't ruin the story too much.
  21. The theming looks loverly. For a park of paulton's size and position I would say this is on a par if not slightly better than most of Merlin's theming additions.
