Of course they'll build you a woodie when sending a message like that. In RCT.
  2. Better start planning the 2017 diary at this rate. Safe to say the park do need this open ASAP especially considering their recent gate figures. At the same time, to the best possible standard.
  3. Oh good, the media! I love their accurate views on news stories and how they don't exaggerate occasional unfortunate occurrences. I hate the press!
  4. I think it's also scary to think Phantasialand now has more visitors than Thorpe Park and almost as many as Towers now, and judging Klugheim opens this year it could over take both of them this year. I think in addition to what's mentioned above, Chessington's growth is also likely due to its location. This is likely due to being the nearest theme park to central London amongst easy transport links. I think its safe to say Thorpe's last good attendance year was 2011 and I would argue that Thoroe's number state is almost as bad as Towers right now (now also being under the 2M mark).
  5. Things to note in this report. Europe: DLRP gate figures have risen for the first time in over 3 years (but will likely tumble again this year). Europa's strong growth continues Efteling saw some growth but Tivoli Gardens is still most visited after DLP and Europa. Liseberg's attendance is identical to the previous year Alton Towers saw a massive drop by 25% due to the accident (expected of course) and is now no.12 (previously 9). Legoland Windsor is now the most visited UK park and saw a small but healthy growth and is now 9th most visited. Cheasington somewhat saw some growth too despite situations. Thorpe had a rather bad year most likely due to Smiler but other issues would've likely come into fruition too. Rest of the world: Magic Kingdom surpassed 20 million visitors All other Orksndo parks saw growth of at least 2% (inc. Sea World) Disneyland Resort & DCA both saw healthy growth (likely helped by the 60th celebrations) Tokyo Disney park attendances fell slightly Hong Kong Disney attendance fell noticeably
  6. Ireland at Europa Patk had been delayed Rivers Of Light has been delayed Frozn is opening late Lightning Rod delayed rumoured delays of Kong rumoured delays to BTM's refurb no opening date for Klugheim Ferrari Land delayed by a whole year 2016 has just not been a good year for delays. Thorpe has obviously has the most slack (for obvious reasons), but at least it's not on the scale of PA. Just imagine what'll happen when we finally get an opening and it opens.
  7. THAT DOES IT, I'm not visiting! If I wanted to see severe delays I would ride the District line all day. least they've perfected the train theme though.
  8. What do Dire Wolves & Ranger County rides have in common?

    There aren't many left.

  9. Looks absolutely stunning! Judging by how good existing ones are so far (which I'm riding soon), this is going to be fab and most likely Blackpool's best coaster by a countrymile.
  10. OH BOY A BASHING THREAD! Anyways, The Long Answer repainted rides, theming and areas apparently does not bring in any guests for a profit company. Unless it's part of a re-theme or directly next door a major new ride, it will be ignored unless it breaches safety regulations (sadly often resulting in just removal instead of replacement). The short answer They don't really care about presentation. Just profit. There are parks out there though which do take some care for presentation though. Notably Paultons, Blackpool & to a lesser extent Drayton. (awaits criticism from a fanboy).

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! Its finally happening. It's finally happening! Lots of exciting chat pages. If it's a GCI I'm excited.
  12. I'd like to hitchhike a ride to Plopsaland please (Disney music will or won't be provided).
  13. Banned because this is a war!
  14. Perhaps, but I will be in heaven, theme park heaven. Europa Park I'm talking about here
  15. I have a gut feeling this could have a 31st May opening somehow. I think by Wednesday though we will either now or be close to knowing the [long overwaiting] opening date. I wouldn't make the opening if it was on the bank holiday next week anyway, as I will be in a better place. [A major non uk park]
  16. With some exceptions, I actually prefer Merlin's food to DLP's. Shocker I know! Most of merlin stuff is pub/spoons quality TBH. Smokehouse though
  17. Yes, because it's instantly comparable to Nemesis and Swarm. Or Vampire for that matter.
  18. I think there is a perfect explanation to why the park have posted a picture of Stealth prior to the opening of the Ghost Train. It's one of their main rides; and a popular good one there as well.
  19. If the prices are astronomical, then I guess the space theme is even more coherent. Have heard the quality is sort of Spoons on steroids which isn't bad really.
  20. For your second album you could have, Thunder (Looper) in my heart Everytime I stall I do it for you (Smiler song) Waterfall (unplugged) flume Time to do the Congo (River Rapids) Living on a share (blade song) When She Crushed me (submission) I've got a golden fidget (C&TCF) I like skiving in my car (driving school) You are the air beneath my wings Heave Ho (Disney parody)
  21. Finally going here next month to check out the park and get the Creds. If they'd built something major and exciting a while back that wasn't Thomas Land I might've visited sooner as the park does seem to lack a signature ride ATM. Fingers crossed for 2018.
  22. Slight reduction in throughput? Panic everyone, tear up your tickets, shred your passes. it's the end of the world!
  23. Not the KFC one, that's just fine. The setting in there probably makes it the best themed eatery at Thorpe. Fins & Inferno pizza have good theming but not on that scale. I reckon if Thorpe get a roller coaster restaurant it will be in a location where current food outlets are not positioned on. Chances are are hopefully if the Towers one is successful they will open one at another park and it would suit Thorpe well IMO.
