Very funny... But seriously. I've always found the SAW queuing experience rather dull and lifeless without the audio! It's funny how the constant sinister ambience and the occasional "Don't touch any switches! They could be in reach of something! *static*" can change everything! But I could be proven wrong about the speakers being broken, as last time I went, they were working fine in the morning (ERT ), but in the evening, they kept cutting out during an announcement...and from that point it was silent. Whether or not they've been fixed by now, who knows?

S&S went bankrupt recently I think? This is probably the reason why it's been extremely difficult to bring back Slammer previously...

I see your point there, as last year, on the cleanest side of the billboard, Thorpe go and scrawl "War has EVOLVED!" all over it!

If Chessie ARE eventually to acquire a river rapids ride in the near future, chances are it'll just be a dead simple Congo River Rapids sort of layout, consisting of a wonky circle, rather than Rumba Rapids with it's gentle downhill decent in a snake form.

Fair point tbh. Why bother draft in wads of cash for a heavily themed river rapids ride at Chessington, while (say) Rumba Rapids at Thorpe Park is in DESPERATE need of additional themeing!

Then you obviously can't see that BOTH sides of the billboard has a pun relating to the ride experience! One side features an advertisement for headache relief tablets, with the slogan "Don't lose your head!", obviously regarding the billboard's role as a near miss. The other side has "Take a flight into Paradise HELL!", which is a pretty good nod to the fact that you've cleared the billboard...but this HELLISH ride still isn't over!

*NEWS JUST IN* Reports show that members of the Calypso Quay Explorers Club are being rapidly escorted from the area. It is believed that a troop of heavily-armed men in black uniform, known to many as 'Phalanx', have closed off the surrounding area to 'Mt Nemesis' for further investigations regarding a huge hole in the side of the volcano... EDIT: Amazingly, a single mysterious egg has just been removed from the hole. Is this volcano, so called 'Mt Nemesis', beginning to show increasing signs of life unknown to science?

I'd say we'd have the space for a Rapids ride if it weren't for Zufari...

Just hoping they'll hopefully add more themeing elements to Dragon Falls next year (along with the revamp) designed to get the riders wet (eg. hidden water cannons etc) - Not to mention electricBill's plans!

Depends if Chessie can cough up the cash to do it!
