It takes minutes to fill up. It get's pumped from a lake.

It's gone down to 5 rides down now. Tidal wave, Rumba Rapids, Samurai, Slammer and Saw. Wonder what's wrong with Saw seeing as it was meant to be open last weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could be that they haven't had enough time to train staff as well, like Vampire and Bubbleworks
-
Also, what happened to the shower at the end? Do you just not turn it on as it fills boats up with water quicker or is it broken?
-
Fair enough. I like it, I mean I can never really hear it at the top anyway but it's good when watching. Also makes it more fun when they drop you early, or keep you up there for a while when it's quiet.

Towards the end of last season the speakers were sounding really weird, and then they ended up turning them off. Next visit it was playing but really quiet, they'd obviously turned it down as they were broken. Shame they haven't seemed to of fixed it over closed season, gonna miss Detonators theme blasting out

That's what I was thinking, but the fact they're giving away tickets may attract more people to go. People who don't manage to get a free ticket may buy one anyway as they are there. It's around double that aha. Most coasters get around 1000 people an hour, flats around 300/400 so 500 people spread around the park really won't make much difference at all.
-
Was there just no audio on it at all?
-
Worth noting they're giving away 500 tickets each day for that weekend, the 14th and 15th of March. https://www.thorpepark.com/events-experiences/events/my-first-coaster/ May encourage people to go to get the free tickets but I doubt it will make much difference at all, seeing as no one really knows about it anyway. I imagine it will be dead, especially mothers day.

The exit of the maze, looks like it's going to end with a slide. (Photo from themeparkcollective facebook page)

The insulting reward to all our commitment - RCT4
Cal replied to pognoi's topic in RCT/No limits/Minecraft etc
The first 8 seconds looked promising, but that looks awful! Gonna have to stick with RCT3, I am not buying that. -
Ah, that's good they got them open then. What is Samurai's current state out of interest? Only ride I haven't seen a photo of.

Vortex opened around 1ish I believe. Saw and Quantum have been closed all day, so yes I guess it does level out. Loggers and Detty are in the same team as Saw, so I wonder if they're only open because Saw's closed, and the staff that are meant to be on Saw went on them instead?

Wonder why only certain parts of Colossus has been repainted? Anyone have any ideas why? (Photo from TPM live feed - http://www.thorpeparkmania.co.uk/page/livefeed )

Currently the 5 main coasters are: Colossus: 40 minutes Inferno: 20 minutes Swarm: 50 minutes Stealth: 10 minutes Saw: Hasn't opened yet. You can look at the current queue times here: https://queue-times.com/park/thorpe-park

The current queue to get in, at this moment in time I'm glad I changed my mind on going. With people already in the park as well I can imagine it to be a very busy day. If they don't extend the opening time or get more rides open, I can see a lot of complaints coming there way. (Photos from themeparkquides facebook page)

AB4D and the Dodgems just got added to the lineup, so surely they would of added Detonator and the others if it was just the 4 closed. The team that do posts on Facebook and Twitter haven't been told yet I'm guessing. Glad to see the Dodems and AB4D added, hopefully they can add some more during the week.

It's not that I won't have a good day, because I'm sure I would! But with a 4pm close and 9 rides closed, I think it'll be worth waiting a week and have a better day. I'm sure the crowds will be very similar as well.
-
Think it's pretty poor to have 9 rides closed to be honest and now debating whether to just wait till the following weekend. Thing is, we don't know how many of them rides will be ready by then. I'm sure they'd be getting plenty of complaints if people are paying to get in when 9 rides are closed!? They haven't actually told us this either, when booking tickets it stated 4 rides so only people that re visit the website will find that. Strange how dodems and AB4D is closed bearing in mind it was open in February?

Thank you guys Just seen this haha

You can now book tickets for annual pass day on eventbrite - http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/thorpe-park-resort-annual-pass-preview-day-tickets-15845100121 It's 10am-4am but last year they kept the top coasters open till 5, so I'm hoping they do that again this year? They also have the shark hotel open on Saturday night for , 99 per room which sleeps up to 4 people. You also get breakfast, first to ride time and 1 hour of free fast track between 10am-11am. Hopefully fast track won't be in operation throughout the day, except of course VIP pass holders. Slammer, Samurai, Tidal wave and Rumba rapids are all going to be unavailable for the weekend which is a shame, as I would've liked to go on Slammer and Samurai. I can understand why Tidal wave isn't open though, even though I went on it 4 times in a row last year More information on thorpes website - https://www.thorpepark.com/events-experiences/events/annual-pass-preview-weekend/
