Alton towers online que times (http://ridetimes.co.uk/) now has a section with Thrill rides and Family rides. It looks a lot better now that they are split up as before there was way too much on the page. There is a problem though as it's new I guess, after like 5 secconds in then shows all of the rides again. I'm guessing this will be fixed very soon! EDIT: I just went on it again, and it's working fine now.

The only way they could stop this is by 1 smartphone is equal to one person, but the thing is you can still cheat with that. I can take my old phone and my Ipod touch for example, make an account on both of them, then I can que for 3 rides at the same time? I thought this was a great idea at first but thinking about it, it really isn't going to work out unless there is a solution for this.

Fun City, Brean TR 24th & 25th May 2014

I instantly recognized that Top Scan from Flamingo Land in Hastings which I've ridden, and turns out it's the same one! It got moved there in 2013. The park looks quite good! A nice little flat ride line up, what are the cycle lengths like? The staff sound dreadful! It will be very interesting to hear what they say back to you. -
I just clicked on it and it's working for me, they might of just needed to edit something? We all know what Thorpe are like with spelling things
-
I guess it's just luck weather you work on something like the Swarm last or Storm in a teacup... I'm pretty sure you will be paid if you have to stay longer?
-
I'm not entirely sure myself but I assume you are just expected to carry on working until the ride is ready to close like you said but I assume you are paid during that time? Also when the park is very busy, they post on there facebook midday that they will stay open an extra hour, which obviously isn't planned before.

I have never tried the system myself but I think it sounds like a good idea! They are defiantly planning on using it again soon seeing as the website has been updated. At the begging of the season they only had Nemesis Inferno and Stealth on the page (even though they weren't using it) and now they have the 5 main coasters, and 3 of them having front row as well! I believe when the system was being trialed they didn't have front row did they? Interesting to see if they are just going to try it on all of the main coasters if they are actually going to start selling them now. Probably going to be the selling option seeing as they have added it to there website.

I'm not too sure as I never go to chessingon really, but thorpe park should be dead on the Sunday. I know from going myself that the last day of the holidays before school it's dead. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

I think the rumour came from the map, it has the bird at the top of the new map.

Great video thanks for that! The whole area looks a lot better than what I thought it was going to be like when I heard about it and during construction. So many kids seem to love it and it's great to see a load of entertainers around the place. Can't wait to go and see it next weekend!

That's good! That's what I was hoping it was going to do

The que time board stated 'Show time in 5 minutes' all day on Sunday. Seeing as there is a show every 20 minutes it would be great to see it count down every 5 minutes of how long until the next show begins. Has it stated anything other than 5 minutes on other days?
-
These were the que times at 4 o clock, so you could imagine what they were like earlier on in the day. Defiantly the busiest I've been this season... Vortex stated 5 minutes all day, and was easily 20 minutes. I entered the que when it said 30 mins and ended up only waiting 15 minutes. The que was down the side and a little bit of the cattle pen, so yes the que times do need adjusting. I expected the dodgems to get massive ques, but like I said the maximum I ques all day is 15 minutes, which is great
-
It seems like they're doing this permanently now, was exactly the same on Sunday.
-
Defiantly the best dodgems I've been on, although I haven't been on a lot. All the dodgems I've been on have had rules which you can only go one way around, and some stupidly (especially at fairs) saying you can't bump. These are great though, you can go where ever you want. The only thing you can't do is head on head bumping. The theme music also goes really well with it, the angry birds go theme. The staff were great on Sunday! Very interactive over the mic 'Red cars are you readyyyy' and very quick at loading and unloading, they were constantly running around. Hopefully this can carry on throughout the summer when it's really busy!

On Sunday it was dead by half 5 and the que was evaced so assumed it over heated then as well. Didn't open for the rest of the day. Didn't get a chance to ride it then as I planned to go on it towards the end of the day. On my previous visit I was on row 1 and it was great, did loads on flips etc.. Best ride I've ever had on Samurai and that's my only ride I've had on it this year It's a shame I can never ride it in the morning because you need 15 people, and that area is dead in the morning.
-
If you are paying with your card and someone else is picking the ticket up, all you need to do is write a note saying you give permission for them to pick up the ticket etc..
-
No not yet, unless it's up today. They will probably do the signage last minute, they don't want to put it up and then another problem occur. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

Just watched the Britain's got more talent from yesterday on Itv player. https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/britain-s-got-more-talent/series-3/episode-7-audition-7 Quite funny how they took the mick that they had to close the ride etc..
-
They're probably just not needed anymore. I assume they only have to do certain tests/checks with the dummies in, and they have been completed.
-
The thing is though, you walk into the dome and straight away there is chart music again. Yes it's a good thing, but if they're going to do it I think it should be in the dome and around Vortex, Rush etc.. Does anyone know if the end of day theme has come back as well?

A video on the TPM facebook page of the Entrance music back and the new Screen at the entrance. Yesterday they only had the one image (posted above) of angry birds land on the screen, so I am guessing it now changes all the time. Also yesterday I noticed there was no music at all at then entrance, which was obviously in preparation for this. It's looking, and sounding really good! Link - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10154244248545624&set=vb.283706330623&type=2&theater By the way, the lines on the screen aren't actually there in real life, it looks really good in real life. It's just the camera, same with the image I posted yesterday.

I didn't see it testing yesterday, there was just a couple of ride staff there faffing around with the seats, couldn't see what they were doing but looked like they were cleaning them. Would of thought if it did open, Thorpe would of put a photo and that on there Facebook? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

Anyone have any idea why the photo booth is covered in scaffolding and as a result is obviously not open? Don't think they would get rid of the photos on this ride because 1) it always takes good, clear photos 2) why would they do it mid season? Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

Thats all I can remember for now. Just some more effects...
