  1. Okay, I see there could be problems there; thanks for the explanation.
  2. Okay, but I don't understand how heat can affect it, unless it's software malfunctions; not that we will be privy to the answer.
  3. In that case I cannot understand how temperature can affect it, certainly not external atmospheric conditions, and apart from what is suggested within the experience, there is no heat source.
  4. Are you talking of the Ghost Train?

Went to the park on Saturday (Coaster Club trip). As has been mentioned, the park does appear quite run-down, and even items which were broken in loos over the last three years, are still broken. A new loo "interior" has been installed in the one by Speed, but that has two seats which are broken. I really think that an operation such as this should have a maintenance guy trawling the park all day. As to the rides, well Speed was ages to start up, but due to no queue later in the day, I was able to re-ride five times without vacating the seat. Megafobia, well, it's brilliant, and was running great. Tinkerbells scooters were unavailable, a let down, for a plane nut. The queues were really low, until the crowds built up for the evening entertainment - paint throwing, how nuts, what a mess. Drenched was pretty wet, but the park has a strange strategy in not opening it until 2 p.m. "so that guests don't walk around wet all day" - that's their choice, and Tidal Wave at TP has a queue from opening. If it's the cost of financing staff, install a couple more large cubicle dryers, they'd make on that. Drenched did start late due to a wheel fault, and they are only loading fourteen out of the twenty-four seats each time which gives the ride a through put of ...........oh, 100 - per hour. The fireworks at the end of the day were absolutely brilliant.
  6. I see that the TP website now state that Stealth and the Ghost Train are "unavailable". That's major really, though obviously that's not what they want.
  7. Your post somewhat confuses me Callum - you went at the end of August? as Ian suggested, that could be hugely beneficial. You also state that Stealth has " for the last 2-3 months it has been unavalible or only open for 10-20 mins " which is totally incorrect and possibly because you are confusing it with another ride. I have been several times this season, and though occasionally there have been resets, it is only in this current situation that it's been totally out of action, and that has been sufficiently discussed in other threads.
  8. When they have queued under it for up to 90 minutes, on Stealth saying "is that it then?" ( I did suggest to someone once that it used to go down the M3 until complaints from drivers - gullible types about)
  9. Excellent, thank you very much. I trust that you enjoyed your visit? Great pics, and info..
  10. Ah, I'm busy next weekend, so maybe not then.
  11. I loved Thunderlooper; I heard also that it's existence was only agreed as being temporary.
  12. ThemeParkCrafter For me, SWARM inside on rows four or five; Nemesis Inferno any seat row five..........just my opinion.
  13. It can only get better then.
  14. As Ian said, SWARM is great for a smooth introduction to inversions.
  15. Well you're not the first, and certainly won't be the last. We are all different and I know of three people who actually belong to Coaster clubs, but who never go on coasters. Did you enjoy your day? I suspect that's a "yes",
  16. I would say there is no positive G on Vortex, maybe.5, it's a large swing, and you can experience a float off the top of swing. Nemesis Inferno follows a track and due to the ride flowing around the outside of loops and rolls, one can be subjected to up to 4.5 g, really good fun.
  17. One is a coaster, one is not. The pendulum effect of Nemesis Inferno changes the G experience. Vortex, is an interesting ride and can provide plenty of airtime.
  18. Wow, you startled me, I thought you meant Stealth is running, then I re-read your post.
  19. Doh, sorry. Interestingly, you can adjust your position and get different G effects on some rides. Confident with the safety of the restraint, I prefer them loose. Don't you get ringing in the ears? I'll make a suggestion as to what that might be..........
  20. G-Force is a very different type of ride, most people find the upward climb very uncomfortable, no similarity at TP, unless the vertical on Saw compares for you. We are all very different, in our physique, and attitude to the rides, so I always suggest for a nice, smooth introduction to inversions, go on SWARM. Do not miss out on Flying Fish, it's good. Nemesis Inferno is very good as with the pendulum action, you feel the ride differently. Take your ear-rings out for Colossus. Enjoy your time there.
  21. Yup, differing experiences, and differing types of ride. Thank goodness for gravity.
  22. Okay, good luck, here are the conditions...... Let us know how you get on, and if you have some success then I'll go over daily.
  23. I doubt it, otherwise everybody would tap them for something and they always float the disclaimer about rides possibly being out of action, logical.
  24. I wouldn't expect anything as all parks, understandably, have the standard warning that "some rides may not be operational" - alas, I cannot get to the sunken garden because they have now fenced the area off.
  25. I've already signed up for therapy.
