  1. It happens on Nemesis at AT - on some similar rides there is a drain hose that takes it down below victims riders level.
  2. That's not nice, I want all the rides working all the time, it reduces the queue on the one I want to be in.
  3. I love the hot rod for the photoshoot! vrooooooooom!
  4. Love the Colossus ride, dislike the trains, terrible if you get a cramp. As to the Italian job, saves me a trip further than TP.
  5. A real up and down day all round then.
  6. An interesting day, mainly due to the changes in staff and so many managers with their "helping hands" with little groups of new staff. Noted that Security are "dressed down" not sure if this was because it was pass holders only. RIDECOUNT: Nemesis Inferno x 3 Colossus x 2 Saw x 2 Rumba Rapids x1 .............................................................................Oh Yeah.............................Stealth x 23
  7. Just getting your money's worth out of lunch then.
  8. Never mind, hope you enjoyed your day. Forums are a good way to build up confidence in chatting to people - we are all on a stage, act a character, then later decide if it worked or not; that is how I get through my difficult times.
  9. No probs, good to see you all, and Rumba together.
  10. The weather was great today; met up with some of the TPM members by chance. As with everything, loads of new staff being shown the ropes; several of the rides experiencing teething problems. A bit odd, that most of the aforementioned changes/improvements still either not existing or being worked on. Many of the previous tatty bits still remaining. I had forgotten that I don't normally go on a Saturday so I was surprised by the amount of youngsters there, doh!

    Slammer

That's promising then, more queues reduces the numbers in a specific queue, hurrah.
  12. As others have mentioned, the area available governs the distance of the launch track, and therefore the achievable height off that launch, relatively speaking.
  13. I can just see Slammer still hiding in there - words like "fingertips" and "skin of teeth" come to mind.
  14. Hope the restraints work whilst it's on its side.
  15. Hi Han, odd thing for most people is I don't count, and it is dependent on the team on the ride; it is a lot and I have a figure I use for last year. (interesting figures when the vertical distance is multiplied) New team this season, so have to do some work. (nuts I know)
  16. Sorry this won't be helpful I believe that it was the contact office on the event page? https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/thorpe-park-passholders-members-preview-weekend-tickets-10290235371 Cannot find it in my email so I suspect I dumped it in anger. Planenut
  17. That's very kind, thank you. Pluk, that is my aim, though I have already promised I must, I really must, have a look at other things.
  18. Well I've now got myself booked and will see what happens on the day.
  19. Sorry for the late reply, I emailed their "contact office" and that was the reply I got, I will hav e another look later this evening then, thanks.
  20. What it must be like for the designers and park with apparently little restrictions from planning regulations - no chance that any Merlin park would get this in.
  21. I know it won't bother the Merlin pass holders, but I was more than annoyed that as a Thorpe Park Annual Pass holder I will not get in on this.
  22. This really looks a further great excuse to visit this park, one day soon I hope.

    Flooding

I think that if the Staines Road out of Chertsey became impassible then that would be TP cut off.
  24. This is good news, more people in the shop - less people in the queue!
