Ah, as I live close, I only have the TP pass which is a stupid cheap price er, is available. Merlin pass can be a little dear for most people. It all depends on how many times you can visit. Good luck.

It's holiday season, so the gate is up, and visitors on Tuesday were saying it was busy. Queques vary during the day. If you don't have too far to travel and you have a pass, it would be worth going.

Vortex was up and running today.

Rollback - never wanted one as it would be ride time wasted. Today, a guy sat next to me asked if it had rolled back recently as he had heard it does it once in one hundred and fifty launches - rubbish I say, and bring him "up to date" with the increase in propulsion loading about four years ago - we got off the train. I stood on the platform and watched the next train launch, AND ROLLBACK! About 5.45pm.. this evening.

Ha Ha, the approaching rain was the reason I left it yesterday.

Welcome to the Club and thanks for trusting the members to offer guidance. As with any park, everybody will have their own way of answering your questions. From me, and perhaps it would help if you let people know if you'll be on your own, or with others, I would also suggest you deal with the Park in an anti-clockwise direction, I.e. left and then round. Darren Brown always seems to open after 11a.m., so don't fret on that one. Nemesis Inferno is always a low queue at the start of the day. If Stealth is not running, watch it as generally there are three test runs before start, but it should be available. SWARM always has a dead period around 1.30p.m., it seems that people are conditioned to take their lunch, at lunchtime. Don't miss Flying Fish as it's a nice little coaster with a surprise. Tidal Wave is brilliant, but if you were to do that, I'd suggest that either you have a change of clothes, or hope that the sun will dry you, it does leave one a little damp. Colossus queue can be viewed from on the bridge to assist you to make your mind up, and mind your ears if you ride it. Enjoy your trip and time in England. The weather is set to be more pleasant than the forecast for this weekend.

Sad incident - Vortex was closed all day today Thursday I suspect there would be some sort of investigation but nobody present.

Sorry for the delay in replying, was at TP until 6.30p.m.. Sure enough, and I knew from the website, Stealth was "not available" today. It was to be checking and possible replacement of the cable but there was a power cut across most of the park, and that put them back at least two hours. Ten test launches were required and on the ninth, there was a hiccup, so that meant, all went back to "go". Last point of the day involved eight test launches then I left as it was not going to be running. Whilst on SWARM today, just got the second break run and there was a power cut across most of the park. Luckily for us they released our train in about twelve minutes, alas, the train on the lift hill took over an hour and half to release. Had a great visit to Saw recognizing several members of the team who looked after me, my neck will ache in the morning. Good to meet and chat to member Josh today.

Whoops, I have intended for a week on attending TP tomorrow/today Thursday and now I find out that Stealth will not be operating, so it looks like I'll have to ride something else, and before the showers arrive.

I too questioned it, watch what happens! Schools week? I did ask one teacher yesterday if the pupils are expected to write a project based on their visit to Thorpe Park, but they appeared not to expect one.

Queues at Stealth were up to 90 minutes today, 9000 prebooked school visitors, but Thursday, wait for this, 12000 prebooked school slots, and the park expected to exceed capacity.

The new coaster at BPB has been designed to entwine with other existing rides, and I think that is a very positive thing as it is the way BPB has always built. Not such a fast one, but with the closeness of other structures it will add an interesting effect. DM has had so much success with Thomas, and there geographical location is ideal, they can only do well out of it.

That would certainly make swimming underwater difficult.

At TP today, on..........Stealth........... Guy announces to his mate "cor, five times on this would create havoc with your life 'cos of the adrenalin!" Then a chap seated next to me said "I opened my eyes last time and I couldn't breathe!" We all survived the day.

Each to their own, but I would do Busch Gardens. You have plenty of time to research and organize, but if you have a prepaid ticket, there is a free bus service from Orlando to BG and return. The major parks do get busy over the weekends, so look for alternatives, one being the Science Center, and you have Kennedy. Merlin now have three attractions on I-Drive, I.e. Madame Tussauds, Sealife Centre and Orlando Eye, well worth doing, and all in the same complex. Depending on where you stay, and again, you have time to research, there are some free buses to Disney, and perhaps Universal will only be a walk away, the local bus service is cheap. You can judge how to feed yourself which may be a large buffet breakfast each day, therefore not needing lunch (more ride time), and a reasonable meal in the evening. Enjoy the planning stages.

I rarely hear of it opening before eleven, so just go and enjoy yourself and keep an eye on the displayed queue times.

Enjoy your visit. The queue for SWARM is always lowest about 1.30p.m., as said by Stuntman, people must eat at lunchtime, take advantage of it. Saw that go off about ten days ago, not something I watch but noticed it.
