Hi everyone, I have decided to start a series of polls where you can do a series of votes being: Would you ever ride it? Would it fit in at an UK theme park? Would you put it in Thorpe Park? As we all know, the 2013 season has begun and the 2014 season will be here before we know it. People look for 'new' rides at theme parks not just gimmicks **cough** the swarm backwards **cough** so I am basically seeing what you guys would think would be a good new ride at a UK theme park. The rides I put in these polls will all be 'intense' and will be suited for the more extreme parks of the country mainly focusing at thorpe park. The first ride in the series of polls is flying circus, this ride is one of the most intense I have ever seen, and whilst I have never ridden it, I would love to try it one day. So guys vote away... 'Apparently' X has hit an 80 minute queue due to it opening this afternoon. This means that all the other rides and rollercoasters currently have queue times under 30 minutes(Colossus was at 120mins earlier in the day). Please correct me if I am wrong- I got the info off ride hopper.

I think thorpe are starting to care more about their rides and general presentation of the park. This year, it hasn't been the best year in terms of presentation of rides for thorpe with the loggers tunnel removed, however, chessie seem to be doing much worse at the moment with removing all the scenery of dragons falls! It seems to be the same with samurai here, thorpe have taken it on the chin that samurai can only offer rubbish cycles(it is slow etc.) but they have shown they care by doing something about this. Samurai is meant to be 'intense' so thorpe have tried to make it as intense as possible by oiling the seats. Hopefully they will do this on a regular basis to offer riders a great experience. Now I just hope we can get a refurb of rumba and and a repaint of Colossus

You have to be 1.4m to ride it on your own but if u are under 1.4m then you have to be with an adult over 16. You have to be at least 1m tall to ride X anyway...

I am really starting to think that thorpe are showing the caring side of them... Firstly, they managed to get nearly all the rides open- at whilst some closed early, at least thorpe bothered to open them at all. Here we are looking at thorpe doing something good, whereas chessie at the moment don't even seem to be trying to open half their rides up. Also, thorpe are offering free return tickets or fastrack! I don't see chessington doing this even though they have more rides closed!! It seems like thorpe are actually doing better than chessie at the moment.

And through kiss FM, they seem to decided to have advertised the crash pad aswell on a swarm show...

Glad that chessie managed to get more of their rides open today- kobra and black buccaneer were running throughout the day.

I love how the ride operators try and beckon people to ride samurai when its empty This is what the operator said to us once: 'Attention to everyone in the samurai area, we need a minimum of 15 people for samurai to begin. We have no queue so whoever is brave enough come and join us and you will be on the next ride!' And yes, the pods do seem to be spinning faster however the settings are still slow.

I actually like the idea of the crash pad- its just the price which is an issue! The price is way to expensive however I think the idea of shipping containers is great. I saw a resturant in london today made out of shipping containers and it looked funky! If thorpe paint those shipping containers cool colours I think it will be one of the coolest hotels around. BTW the resturant wass on the southbank.

Just to update you guys: The rides open are pretty much the same except black buccaneer has now closed and monkey swinger has opened up! I will update you with anymore changes!

Yes but when funfair topscans whirlpool at the top why do they rotate individually instead of locking(I know they don't actually lock)?? This is what I don't understand, normally the seats would freely rotate but this time something funny is going on!!

Just looking at this, when the ride whirlpools(rotates) at the top at the begining, why are the cars locked and not rotating freely? Is it something to do with air pressure? It seems highly weird to me that one car is flipping and the others are locked- never seen this happen before!

Not much use anyway, one fastrack ride and that's it- plus all the AP holders will be trying to use it! I am annoyed really as I was going for a fun time this Saturday with dragons falls and rattlesnake but now a lot is closed. I can understand why they have to do it but why not offer cheaper entry tickets or something? I hope rattlesnake is open by 15th April because I am visiting again then

Fastrack tickets? I am an AP holder and I haven't heard anything about fastrack tickets...I think we could end up having zoo days until Easter at this rate! I was planning to visit this Saturday but maybe we will just have to ride rameses revenge and that's it

To be honest, I think they will be up and running soon. They are ovbiously trying to get them open for the easter season but who knows if they will be open! I am visiting at the end of easter again so at least they will be open I am visiting on saturday(my thorpe trip cancelled ) and I would like to see falls open but not very bothered about RMT. I suspect people will be very cross though with all these delays especially as RMT is a great family ride! I bet they will try and sell you a fastrack ticket with only 2 of 4 rides working on it I can gradually see zufari getting delayed by 1 week at a time...

I thought I would just bring this up now- sorry for a double post! http://www.thorpepark.com/prices/fastrack.aspx Thorpe park currently have a new fastrack package, FULL THROTTLE, it costs £19.50 to fastrack the swarm, saw, stealth, Colossus and nemesis inferno. I added up the prices of buying them on their own and it comes to the same price. Surely it should be a pound or so cheaper? Anyway, we have kept X in the accelerator fastrack and there is no swarm backwards fastrack online but apparently that has been introduced at the park! I will update you when these fastrack packages are being sold at thorpe as I am visiting Saturday

Yep. You should be fine- all the scanners at thorpe etc. are programmed to accept your merlin pass - at least with me anyway Have a great time when you go and enjoy the swarm backwards

Same!! The swarm is one of my least ridden rides in the park.Putting fastrack for the swarm backwards is a dreadful mistake- loads are likely to buy it and it will make the queue an absolute nightmare!
