Personally, I think volare looks really cool! It looked awesome when I visited vienna prater! Shame I didn't ride it. I know this is probably above in this thread but when are these rides coming?
-
Just ask for a good setting... Mhm it's really squashed- I sware other topscans have more arm room?
-
Last year I went when the park was so dead we had do wait for 20 mins for samurai to reach 15 people. We had a really good setting though and because the park was so dead we stayed on 2 more times(in a row) and got great settings! That was proabably the only time I have ever had good settings on samurai!!

Just a quick note, the update bar has gone I want that update bar there because it was really useful! Who would like some more slogans? 'The one with the Head-first backwards drop!' 'The one that goes 0-80mph in under 2 seconds!' The nemmy inferno one is ok but the other are way over the top...
-
Swarm and stealth scary? Saw is by far scarier than them especially with that vertical climb! The three most scary rides in TP have to be, detonator, slammer and saw!
-
It's a shame really... It might make people think there are only 5 rides in the park I am also hating these new slogans, 'the one that goes upside-down 10 times!' They just seem to cheesy to be honest...
-
I know this is being quite pedantic but... Why is SAW-THE RIDE still on thorpe's website in fright night mode?
-
Trust me there are lots of rides which make you feel sick, its just that thorpe don't have any. I went on a KMG afterburner called chaos at Villacher Kirchtag, we span really fast for about 8 mins non stop and it did 6 full swings all 5 times it went up to the top. I felt so sick I wanted it to stop but the people opposite were shouting for more and guess what- we went again! I do agree that being sick on X is totally strange as it is not a sickening ride...

Aargh... Wish I could attend! I can just imagine sitting on the THE SWARM being photoed
-
Sorry guys, don't know how to put a proper video in: Most of this video is actually the ride trying to go down! Most of the guests who ride samurai will not have a clue why it isn't going down and why they couldn't have been having a longer cycle instead of all the faffing! It's such a shame that samurai is so bad these days...
-
The ORP cameras just take photos of the back of the chairs... If you try and buy it they will not let you anyway! Hopefully this will be sorted out soon though.

People who arrived half way through the day would complain that they can't get on backwards rows- the only option is to make you prebook!
-
I like the old nemmy inferno tune
-
Yep it's thorpe I heard about them giving backwards seats to people because there was no queue for them towards the end of the day. I just wish I could have been there to ride the rides at thorpe today! Bring on the 2 hour wait on Saturday
-
No way, not 1 hour 15 mins with limited avalibility aswell! I am visiting on Saturday 16th and I will probably have to wait 2 hours for it backwards! Should be worth it though, I am really looking forward to the ride backwards
-
Might need a fastrack ticket then I am really not sure how they are going to make the backwards rows a success, especially in the first couple of weeks where it will be on one train. If they sell fastrack for back rows on top of this(which they undoubtably will) there will be an even bigger problem. They will sell a mass amount of fastrack which means only about 4 people from the main queue(per train) will be able to get on- I think Thorpe will end up making you pay extra to ride backwards... I just got a reply off facebook: They are definately putting fastrack on- at least they are not making you pre-book online!
-
It looked great on the concept art- it looks absolutely disgusting in person, why would anyone want to sleep in that?
-
Queue for nemmy was 30 mins today, however it seems good that most rides only have 10 min queue! I really wish I could be there...
-
We can't complain- Thorpe are probably trying to do what's best for their guests, if they make a pre-booking online system, sure guests will be disappointed on the day if they can't ride but at least people will not have to wait hours to ride backwards. My only issue with this is that Thorpe will probably try and sell fastrack for backwards seats meaning that even if you pre-book you will still have to wait ages. The only reason the queue barely moved is because only 4 people get on backwards each ride(on one side) and there is only a one train operation, meaning that even with the AP prebookers the queue will be massive for the swarm backwards. I just hope they get the 2nd train up and running quickly...
-
Sorry, only X is opening at the end of spring, saw has now reopened and stealth is being maintenaced. Saw and stealth should be avalible for this Thursday but X will not be until the end of Easter holidays...
-
Sorry about the double posting: I just received an update on today's AP day at thorpe, unfortunately I was not able to attend but apparently the day hasn't been great anyway. The park is 'apparently' quite empty however queues are building up as all the rides are on 1 train. People are queueing 30-45 minutes for rides like Colossus, the swarm and nemesis inferno due to them being on one train. However, nemesis inferno has its 2nd train being put on(I'm not sure if this has already been done) Rides are on very short settings as rush is only having 2 full swings and samurai is running on poor and short settings. However, I am not sure how the other flat rides are doing. Stealth, saw and X(which has been confirmed to not open until end of spring) are all closed. That's all I know at the moment!

If you join the TPM meet at least the time in queues goes by quicker! If you plan your day well, you shall get on all the rides with fairly short queues though. The longest I had to queue last time on a Sunday was 40 mins because I planned my day well- also you will get on well more than 6 rides as the queues die down in the last hour, and they go down to about 5/10 mins which means you can get on at least 6 rides in the last hour! Have fun
