  5. Casually going to dust off this topic.... It would seem that Thorpe are offering a new tier of TP Annual Pass. This is called the Premium Thorpe Park Annual Pass, it includes all the usual perks (discounts on food etc etc.) but also includes free car parking and free entry into their special events. Last paragraph on this webpage:https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/ticket-information/tickets/thorpe-park-resort-standard-annual-pass/ Looks really quite hidden on the webpage and with no price or option to buy one I'm presuming they're a new introduction. In addition to that the regular TP AP has risen in price to £70 Thoughts?
  6. So then the construction of the new indoor play area has begun. The park has been releasing time lapse construction videos on their facebook page and have revealed that it is due to open for Spring 2015. The area will be free to use for annual pass holders and admission is free for all like the rest of the park but I would assume that to go on the play equipment itself you will have to have a wristband of some sort. "Second time lapse video of our new indoor fun park. the whole processes is being filmed with the final video being published on completion. Opening Spring 2015, there will be rides, a large soft play area for toddlers and bigger kids, and a tunnel connecting it all to FeelgoodsPizza Pasta Play. Admission is free if you just want to look round. Free to use for annual pass holders with 20% off food, drink and Feelgoods prize arcade"
  7. Continuing on from the Jurassic World Announcement the creators have taken it a step further and actually made a website for the theme park that Jurassic World is based in.... http://www.jurassicworld.com/
  8. So since I couldn't make it to the park tomorrow for the last day of season I decided to go today - good decision as well it was very quiet to what I'm used to. Ride Count: Stealth - 9 (1 front row in the dark ) Inferno - 8 Saw - 3 Colossus - 2 Swarm - 5 X - 7 Quantum - 1 Loggers - 1 Slammer - 2 Rumba Rapids - 1 Total: 39 - very good by what I usually get. Pros: My final ride of the season on Stealth front row with the whole train to myself Enthusiastic ride staff on X 6 re-rides on Stealth without going round Generally very quiet Everything went down to like 5 mins in the last hour or so. Most coasters on 2 trains from opening Lots of rides in the dark Cons: Incredibly rough rides on Saw and Colossus Colossus opened 2 hours late Stealth on 1 train all day. Grrr. Apart from those small negative points it was a brilliant day and a great final trip of the season.
  9. ^No, It opened in Chessington in 1999 (I think - someone correct me if I'm wrong...) and moved to Thorpe in 2004. It's in its 10th year at Thorpe but 15th year overall.
  10. Its not an AirRace by the way.... They've just announced it as THE UK'S FIRST SKY FLY!! Thanks to Pleasure Beach Experience's Facebook
  11. Sure! I'm definitely up for that I'll PM you about the details in a day or two
  12. I shall be there regardless of date. However only for the WinterWonderland segment of the day as I don't have enough money to do all four Merlin attractions and Winter Wonderland. Plus I've never been to experience Winter Wonderland properly before
  13. So today is the day to "Take the last stand" - a competition to be on the last two standing trains is running. Guests have to find the tickets for the last two trains on certain staff member's lanyards or badges. The track itself has all be re-painted to orange now and the supports have been started. https://www.cedarpoint.com/online-fun/live-video-cam/camera-3 shows the progress so far
  14. https://www.facebook.com/blackpoolpleasurebeach/photos/a.274171267364.146228.88885897364/10152761305387365/?type=1&theater Another hint towards the new attraction - so if its going to be plane based then surely it'll either be an Air Race or Sky Fly Will certainly be nice to see how it turns out and nice to see their latest additions resembling British things (Wallace and Gromit, Red Arrows and Union Jack Big One Trains)
  15. This was the Sunday just gone - I arrived and got in the ticket collection queue at 09:45. Very annoying as it'd speed a lot of people up and take more pressure off of the staff at the ticket collection windows
  16. It didn't give me the option to print at home either, was stood in the line until 10:30 as the windows didn't open until 10 and they only opened 3 of the 8 windows while I was waiting! Huge time waster! There were so many groups being turned away at the turnstile because they didnt know they had to pay extra for FN as well, was surprised by this considering the warning that is given by the park...
  17. I did! Rides had walk on queues most of the time during the evening (nothing peaked above 40 during the day either) but all mazes stayed at 60 mins from their opening (put this together with the heavy rain and not having a coat or jumper with me I didn't fancy queuing for 60 mins in the rain so yeah walk on rides all night for me! ) Quietest I've ever seen Thorpe! (excluding Summer Nights )
  18. Okay so from my visit earlier today: Stealth x7 (1 front row) Colossus x2 (1 front row) Saw x1 (front row) Inferno x3 (1 front row) Detonator x3 Slammer x4 Loggers Leap x1 Rocky Express x1 Swarm x3 X x4 Dodgems x2 4D Cinema x1 Didn't bother with the mazes as the rides had no queues and the Mazes had fairly substantial ones and I didn't want to stand around in the rain in a t-shirt (I wasn't prepared for rain...) As part of my 16th birthday I also got the privilege to go on a rides backstage tour - and wow absolutely phenomenal the Stealth Bunker really shocked me with how much actually goes into the ride! Very much enjoyed the experience and can't wait to do a Coaster Climb next season Pros: First Stealth Front Row ride I've ever had! Inferno and Colossus seemed to run very smoothly and fast on my rides Rerides in the dark Cons: Rain Lots of stacking with the Inferno trains
  19. I'm a no for this unfortunately. I just haven't got the money to go annoyingly. But hey there's always next year Hope everyone enjoys the event and Brave It Alone
  20. Someone correct me if I've missed the point but there are only pods of 2 seats on Vampire anyway... So you would have been split up regardless - why make another empty seat by putting the 3rd person in their own pod when you can fill a single seat and help move things a bit quicker. So unless I've missed the point, the batcher did their job correctly and efficiently...
  21. Just in-case people haven't seen it in the Questions To Thorpe Park Topic, the Horror Pass will be priced at £50 as a bolt on for passholders and is available from the end of this week. Thoughts on the pricing? As for the new maze, I think it sounds like it could be brilliant, nice to see an original/non-IP maze IMO
  22. Visited yesterday (31st) and was very busy - I don't think I'll be visiting again during the Summer Holidays in the future... Colossus started the day on one train which amounted to 100 minute queues at some points, not sure if the second train was added as I stayed away from it for the rest of the day. Eventually gave up on the day and left at 5:45. Not a bad ride count though considering how busy it was and not using fastrack Stealth x1 Colossus x1 Saw x1 Quantum x1 Rush x1 Loggers x1 Rumba x1 Slammer x1 X x1 Inferno x3 Total: 12 Pros: Saw SCB at Inferno Slammer Smoothest ride I've had on Colossus Cons: Very busy Colossus starting on one train in the summer!! Saw - most rattly and bumpy ride I've had so far
  23. I've just realised Carowinds' other B&M Hyper - Intimidator has those seatbelts that Cedar Fair are installing. So does anyone else think that Fury 325 is likely to get them as well?
  24. I'll be there for the Pleasure Beach on Saturday but won't be joining you for the Tower Attractions. Found a fairly good deal on train tickets at £45.60 return which considering the distance isn't bad I guess, £20 for the wristband so £65 overall, sounds like it'll be a nice break
