Corbyn is living in an idealistic world where money grows on trees and no one has any bad intentions. Some of his policies are a good in theory. However I seriously doubt they work in the real world. On top of that he has already proven he can be bought out and is happy to abandon his ideals at a drop of a hat. I don't want a spineless prime minister like Cameron or if he won Corybn.

I am a central/right wing supporter and I would agree the labour party has gone too left. Along with the conservatives new leader and the potential fall of ukip the labour party will have a hard election on their hands. That isn't even including the rise of the greens taking labour votes.

I am very much for out of the EU. Unlike the people portrayed in the media as brexit supporters my reasoning has nothing to do with immigration. Immigration is needed for stable growth when the country is at full employment which currently it is. One reason is the £350 million a week we spend on it and not getting that much back unlike almost every other country in the union. That money can be spent far better on things Britain wants rather than what the EU thinks Britain wants. Leaving would also meaning the fishing industry which the eu seems determined to kill would be lifted of stupid regulations which results in caught dead fish having to be thrown back. Leaving also means that the eu won't be able to tax the city of London which would serverly damage trade there. We will be able to set our own laws and not be forced to follow what Europe wants. Such as guilty until proven innocent or prisoners having the right to vote. We will no longer have a political influence from the unelected leaders of the eu (Junker and his friends). If the people don't like the European government they have no way of being able to change it. We will have a chance to build up the British Commonwealth once more and strike trade deals with countries like India and China (something Osborne has already been working on). I'm going to stop myself here for now but I will happily expand on points or give more if anyone is interested.

Whilst a conservative I am certainly not a Dave fan. He is a spineless prime minister giving into large companies. However the same can be said about corbyn and Osborne. The conservatives have never been good with education and hopefully when Boris is PM something will change for the better in education. Assuming David quits after the eu referendum.

Booking for Merlin parks is done by a set date. Oakwod does any day for the season if pre-booked so it seems a common thing among the smaller parks. I hope paultons has a massive success on their hands.

All back open except drenched. The website is updated everytime there is a change so the open and closed ride list is very reliable. http://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk/opening-and-prices/ Megafobia was closed for essential track works which has since been completed. Drenched in closed as they are waiting on parts to complete it's winter maintenance.

Stealth restraints raise themselves. I should make it clear that I simplified the systems a lot. They are far more complex than a hydraulic cylinder or a ratchet.
-
Infernos restraints do not go up themselves as it is a simple ratchet system while stealth, swarms and saws are a hydraulic based system.
-
Saw regularly closes from high winds. The over banked turn is a likely stall point and is the reason it closes in cold temperatures as well. Stealth isn't too much affected from winds, swarm and saw are the worst. Colossus and saw suffer most from temperature.

Staff not updating it often enough. Has nearly always been the cause and suspect it will always be that way.

It saddens me to see people so much celebration for something that should have been the case from day one.

Flat roofs leak. The only thing guaranteed in the world of engineering.

Taking a train off early means engineers can start on it's checks early so they don't have to at the end of the day. It will also save the ride team a small amount of time at the end of the day. Not defending them by any means just trying to explain there side of the story. Reducing capacity during the day is annoying and shouldn't be done.
-
Increasing capacity requires getting the train ready which is a process that takes a lot of time. Not only that putting them away at the end of the day takes hours. If it's expected to be quiet then they will not have as many engineers on site so will not have the capability to add more trains. While speedy passes do seem the reason they will not generate a huge sum of money compared to not hiring engineers for more hours.

Tinks is open however the pirate ship, vertigo, drenched, megafobia and bounce (apart from about 20 minutes this morning) have been closed all day. Terrible weather as well so we left about 2:30 which is very rare for me to leave before closing.

Air Nuclear fission or nuclear fusion?

My god that is an ugly piece of track. From an engineering point of view you would not save much steel in the support structure having it as a solid piece rather than 2 pieces. However it is easier to construct both in the factory and on site.

You will be waiting pretty much forever then I am afraid. All the UK parks which have the sort of money to build one are all limited by planning restrictions. The only possible park realistically is Thorpe and building one would have many issues.
-
They completed the pull through a few days ago so testing won't be far off if it hasn't started. Cedar point being the park it is will have some sort of official video of testing soon. They like to build the hype train that way.
-
Often the live Webcam's get turned around to face gatekeeper and the carpark for a while for no reason according to cedar point. However the reason is most likely to be the ride testing.
-
Mantis was a horrible creation and even though I found it enjoyable I can still see how bad the ride could be if you get the restraint wrong.

That is a considerable amount of cable. [insert speculation here].

Disney has a new film coming out of James and the Giant Peach. It will be well known.

Speak for yourself. Ill visit when they sort themselves out. If I knew before getting there that coasters were going to be on 1 train I just wouldn't go. They can have my money when they start getting things right and the issues they have are solved. Until that point they are not getting a penny. It must be said that currently Thorpe are doing the best out of the Merlin group in my eyes and that some issues I have had with them in the past seem to have been fixed but then there are the major recurring ones. Fastrack on reduced capacity, terrible reliability...
-
Half assed ideas are what they do best and so I am not visiting any Merlin park this year. I'm not travelling half the country to experience a half closed park and a coaster where I have to wear a clunky headset which makes a multi-million pound coaster into a jumped up simulator.
