EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from JoelAllen in Chessington General Discussionwhat's going on with monkey swinger
not sure I've seen it closed for so many consecutive days

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from JoelAllen in Vortexhi,
thanks for the reply!
so Vortex did open in 2001!. I may be blonde but I do know at least something. lol....
do keep me updated on the situation with vortex.
maybe you're right. maybe they are just waiting for a part from KMG

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from Ringo in Park Operationshi.
I hope this is the right place to ask... but what's with I'm a celebrity?
only seems to open a few times a year.
now closed until july....?
I mean I thought about school holidays and stuff, but that can't be it- because wouldn't they shut other atractions to?

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from WWTPRadio in Thorpe Park RadioI never experienced this either, or if I did, I really don't remember it
shame the closest we have now is WWTP which gets old fast.. well it's nice, don't get me wrong, but an updated playlist would be nice..

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from AJ in Feedback of the Forumsmy thoughts:
I agree that their needs to be female moderators.
you get that everywhere now- forums trying to equal it out.. some males, some females. and it even extends beyond forums to things like TV shows (for example BBC pannel shows must always now have a female member of the pannel).
I don't have anything to say about what you say about how females are treated. personally since I've been a member here, no one's treated me like that

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from pluk in Feedback of the Forumscan I point something out? (I've only actually just noticed this!)
in the thorpe park's past, you spelt revisit wrongg. well not actually in the forum itself, but the description of it

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from MattyMoo in Rameses Revengepersonally, if RR did go, I'd like them to replace it with a new atraction... a new one entirely
new starts are always good when it comes to theme parks

EmilyLovesVortex reacted to Marhelorpe in Park MusicOn park right now and have a few updates regarding the park music:
- Colossus is still high pitched.
- Rush's queue line speakers are still silent.
- Saw's queue line speakers are still silent (been like that for 2 years now).
- X has a dead zone in the queue line with no music.
- Lost City is once again playing Chart Music. *sigh*
- Vortex is yet again playing Chart Music, no awesome theme tune.
The thing that I'm confused upon is the fact that in early April and late March, Vortex and Lost City were playing their usual theme music which we all thought "Oh, Thorpe Park have finally fixed it." But now that it's back to Chart Music, what is going on? Can they decide whether to have Chart or Themed music playing?
When I visited on April 2nd, Vortex was playing its themed music and I was very happy that it was, since I hadn't heard it for at least 2 years, plus it suits the ride a whole lot better. But today, its gone again. Not happy one bit.
I don't have a problem with The Noise being played at Thorpe, I really don't. What I do have a problem with is that it plays on the rides, especially ones like Vortex who have one of the best soundtracks Thorpe has to offer.
Keep The Noise to the entrance, dome, bridge and Neptune's Beach. Leave Lost City and Vortex alone Thorpe!

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from MattyMoo in Chessington Howl'o'weenhi,

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from pluk in Introduce Yourselfhello my name is emily, and I'm 25 and live in the UK
my interests are:
music (most types, I'm very easy going!)
movies (mainly drama and true stories) with the odd disney movie thrown in
video games (I have an XBOX 360) and I like to play on that
and of course theme parks- which I actually don't get too much.. I've been bipolar since a young age, and up until recently everything was kind of stable... but an episode years ago left me wheelchairb bound for life..... I don't talk about it much- it's changed my life completely and requires someone to support me round the clock 24 7. so in a way, I'll admit... I'm embarrassed to be on here- it's been ages since I've been to a theme park and loads has probably changed... so I'll run out of things to talk about- but I'll tell you exactly why I joined:
I joined mainly to share my memories of atractions, and also perhaps slot in where I can with current topics if I can... I am sorry that I won't post much:(. hope I'm welcome?
ride wise, well, my best ride is and always will be, vortex. I couldn't get away from thorpe without least 5 rides on the vortex in 1 day?. yep..... 5, each time enjoying it more andm ore, and each time putting my hands up on the air as if to say.. wooo.. look at me I'm on vortex. lol
other rides I enjoy at thorpe park are, well... I liked the canada creek railway- but was gutted to here it had closed. I actually used my time on the canada creek railway more to relax, not to spot bears lol
I also liked the 4d shows.. pirates what ever it is, and time voyagers- time voyagers was put together so well
I don't like water rides... actually hate getting wet. hate it. I did rumba rappids once, but the only reason I did it was because well... because the theme tune got stuck in my head and I wanted to just ride it, or something like that lol
I don't really do coasters either, though I did get persuaded by some park guests to ride inferno and Colossus.. both of which I probably would never do again
chessington wise, I've always liked rattlesnake. don't ask me why.... I just think it's awsome. you get such a rush from riding it
um, I actually think I've tried all the rides at chessington at least once.. finding it hard to think of something I've not been on. ah yeah, well- I never did the bumper cars at beano land because fair or theme park what ever, I don't like bumpercars
their was a time where we went to butlins in bogna and I almost fell out the car... it's put me off
I'm trying to think of the last time I went to either theme park:
last time I went to thorpe was, I think either the end of 2011 or the start of 2012..... I actually think it must have been like august or september of 2011, because they had not started advertising fright nights
as for chessington, last time I went... well quite recently actually. their was this big thing about what happened on toom blaster with the girl falling and I was their for that... so 2012 for certain
this year, I'm hoping to visit both at least once (and get my 5 rides on vortex)
how is everyone?

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from Smidget in Introduce Yourselfhey,
thanks for the welcome- I like what I've seen so far and I even submitted a question to the questions to thorpe park section:). it would be so cool if a real worker from thorpe park ansered me.. my claim to fame... hehe
also posted a thread about dvd regions, and I posted some stuff in thorpe's past- gonna have a quick look in chessington to see if their's anything their I can reply to. had a quick look earlier and it looks like all the rides have a thread, so..
thanks for welcoming me

EmilyLovesVortex got a reaction from James & Co. in Your Bucket Listyou've really given me something to think about:
so see what I can come up with I suppose:
1. go to the races (horse racing)
2. own a bird- parot, budgie, etc
3. go to las vegas
4. meet torie amos (possible I suppose!)
5. visit the shard
6. ride the london eye in the dark
7. watch the movie silver lining's playbook
that's all I can come up with right now actually
