I'm thinking it's some form of tracked ride, as there's a separate load and unload, and the platform is on the first floor, not the ground floor!
-
It didn't take a genius to work that out though, did it? I'm pretty sure most people figured what it was. Besides after the whole washing machine thing (which would have been a nightmare anyhow), I find it hard to believe any internet "facts" about Merlin additions haha. Let's just continue discussing this brand new red tin and pray whatever goes in it is half decent (which I think it might be, maybe! :L )
-
It isn't! I completely agree which is why I don't visit zoos either Chessington isn't fantastic either in that respect as far as I can see.

To me, everything from the Dome to the entrance plaza just feels dated and in need of a bit of love. In my opinion the Dome just feels a little dark and gloomy, with no real character or atmosphere. I think the idea and purpose of the Dome is good, I just think it could be done a lot better!

I always find jokes are harder to land on the internet. Saying that, my jokes never land anyway. In all seriousness though, as much as I would love to see that old building crumble, I can't imagine they will. I can see them continue to hire Scruffy Dog to (hopefully) make the entire thing look a bit nicer. I do like Scruffy Dog's work, however I personally can't stand the style of Fin's and the Shark Hotel. To me it feels dated even though it's brand new... Perhaps I just don't like the colours.

Maybe it is listed, but on a list of buildings that need to go?
-
Burn it to the ground and build a mini CityWalk! With a little dock to take people on boats to the (new, permanent) hotel.
-
I don't know if they have already, but wouldn't it be easier for them to apologise and admit what the business did/does is wrong? If I were them I'd phase out/release all the Orcas, (well I'd release all the animals if I could) and focus purely on rides. As for Mako... Meh. It's nice to see a hyper in Orlando at last but apart from the last two turns, it looks a tad underwhelming to me! And yes, I'd say the same if this were Thorpe Park or any UK park.
-
This is the reason I'm excited for that London Paramount Resort in half a decade or so! I think in the next few months the actual plans are being released which is exciting. Anyway, back to Thorpe Park

2016 Dark ride opens X gets knocked down Storm surge also gets knocked down Neptunes Beach/The Dome and entrance plaza disappear along with Shark Hotel Colossus gets a repaint More engineers are hired and treated/paid well 2017 New entrance plaza that looks new and clean! New bridge Dome and space where Shark Hotel was becomes a small CityWalk style entertainment hub, with shops and restaurants and MoS venue. Neptunes beach becomes a grassy area with seating, tropical trees etc. Staff uniforms are now themed to the rides, and the generic uniform is now smarter with a shirt, suit trousers and name badge. Roaming actors from IPs used in the park become a daily thing, and appear lots throughout the day across the park. 2018 X and Storm Surge site is used for roller coaster similar to Colorado Adventure or Mammut Inferno gets a clean up Loggers Leap has a flume replacement, theming and new boats Rumba Rapids is overhauled with rougher waters, new boats, a cleanup and a heavy re-theme. That's what I'd do to the park if I ran it. The whole place needs a cleanup and a kick up the backside!

Far fetched, but... If the ride vehicles were timed correctly, could you not have double height screens but used twice from two levels? So a car on the ground floor would use the screen with video clip 1, then as soon as that car turns away, a car (which is further through the ride course) on the floor above could use the screen with a different video clip and from a different viewpoint?

The guy in the first video is really friendly! I chatted to him with my mum a year back or so after the pirate show in Mutiny Bay! Might actually go to Scarefest this year, maybe... :L

Ah ok, block off construction from what? It's like four stories tall! Is it to do with the noise and the neighbours?
-
Only thing I'm worried about is the empty space between the two basalt mountains, but I'm sure it'll look great. Also, what's up with the giant grass wall next to it behind Berlin? Hopefully something good happens with it because at the moment it's hideous!

I know some people disagree but I'd say the only topspin I've ridden and actually enjoyed is Talocan. Yes, it's a spectator ride, but when you spin, the position of the seats means you get some amazing forces and I didn't feel dizzy in the slightest. It's not one of my favourite flats, however I think the surroundings and the music make up half of that. If Thorpe got a Talocan I'd be happy, but they won't. I can see a Rumba refurbishment and another flat coming soon.
-
All very exciting! And CityWalk has had lots of new stuff recently too. Cowfish opened late last year and that looks fab, and I think the Nascar place is getting a refurb too! As for Potter expansion, I can't wait to see what's in store, but I can't picture what other HP environments they can do?
-
Looks nice, is it a clone of White Lightning? Also the castle is coming up fast! These photos are from June however, taken by the Plopsa fansite...

A complete clean up is what it needs! The rebrand they did a year or so back hasn't really made much difference, the place is still dirty and not the most pleasant place to be! Oh, and the wasps in the Inferno queue literally ruined my morning.
-
To me, a good park is somewhere I can just stand and feel happy and immersed, without even being on a ride.
-
Oh I forgot Hex <3 That's like my third or fourth favourite. Oh and Mystery Castle on it's good setting.
-
^ The smell when you walk into the entrance from Berlin <3

That rock work on Kong makes me so happy! Need to get myself across the pond in the next few years.
-
Wrong park aha. For me, it's between ToT and Maus au Chocolat. Phantom Manor is good as well actually.
-
Are they really immersive though, at all? I don't think this will be a completely immersive experience either.
