Sounds weird, but it's exciting to see the dark ride building... Dark inside? I agree it's a shame the UK doesn't do immersive experiences anymore but this thing is quite big so let's hope

I spot a station building...
-
I find the actual ride/layout of TotNH really dull though. I love smooth rides but it just felt like I was sat in a car during the night time. The building it's in is gross too, doesn't fit in with Fantasy at all considering it used to be space themed! Scrap it and build something amazing, like Josh and Benin have said <3

How does Ghostrider compare to Colossos in terms of roughness? Because Colossos was ridiculous on the valleys, even near the end! [Edit - Got the name wrong, but you know what I meant!]

Is Princess Consuela Bananahammock a reasonable request?
-
Is this an RMC job or just a revamp?
-
I get the idea but it looks like it'll be executed poorly (but not in an artsy way). Banksy is overrated in my opinion anyway :L Some of his work is powerful but this looks a bit meh so far. Street art to this is a weird step.

I don't know why but part of me still has quite high hopes for this attraction? Nothing except for the plans have gotten me excited yet, but something gives me the feeling this might actually be kinda great? However I'll ride it (after reading non-spoiler reviews) with an open mind.

^ Agreed. And that odd perfume bottle photo doesn't appear to add up either.

I'm getting Smiler marketing flashbacks with the whole "mind manipulation" vibe and I want something new!

It's not fake respect, well at least it's not for some people. I've said all along what this guy did was completely idiotic. Maybe respect is the wrong word, insensitive might be better. Typing things like "Less queues for us then" or things like that is insensitive as this is a death after all, even if it was 100% his fault. That's all I have to say really, I don't know how many more times I can repeat the same thing...
-
Oh I completely agree, that's where my sympathy lies too! I'm not the most politically correct person, but I do wish a few people would be a tad more respectful that's all, even if what he did was selfish
-
No, things like this happen simply down to the fact that humans evaluate risks and take them. This decision happened to be a very stupid decision, but that doesn't change the fact calling a dead person a complete idiot makes you look a bit of one too (which has been my point from the start). I feel most for the family but also the people on the ride as well. I'd hate to witness something like that especially from so close.
-
Out of interest, what was the cause?
-
Yes but screaming "He's an idiot he ruins it for everyone" about a dead person makes you look the fool if you're not careful, no matter if the family can see this. I too lack sympathy for him, and what he did was incredibly dangerous and stupid, but have some respect that's all I'll say. You can make the point you're trying to make without being quite as insensitive.
-
Yes this guy made a stupid decision but please remember this guy has a family and friends who have just had a huge hole punched into their lives. I know nobody here would climb a fence at a theme park, but we all take risks assuming it'll work out for us! Crossing a road when the lights are red etc. Please try and have a little bit of respect. If your best friend or mother did this, you wouldn't be calling anyone an idiot. tl;dr... Stay in school and learn to read signs, but have some respect even though you don't know/judge the guy.

Some of the plastic wrap has been taken off! https://www.facebook.com/freizeitparknewsnrw/photos/pb.875493649152130.-2207520000.1439556980./1018616244839869/?type=1&theater

Sad that somebody died, but if you enter an obviously restricted area under a moving roller coaster, I don't have much sympathy! It's always to find a "cell phone" too. Didn't this happen on one of the Batman clones years ago?

To be fair, I know it's not perfect but Sub Terra isn't too bad is it? It's entertaining and exciting, as far as I know all the effects are still working and it's just a bit of a laugh? I hope WC16 is better but I wouldn't say Sub Terra "sucks balls" at all really.

Double post This isn't about Taron so sorry if I got your hopes up, but I was on Youtube and found this video from early 2007. It shows Talocan's construction, and one of it's first cycles which is very short, not as intense but very misty and wet! There is also a soundtrack I've never heard before, which must have been replaced by the Narnia score. I can see why they changed it to what it is now! I thought I'd share the video here as I found it kind of interesting to see the ride look so different!
-
Surely if guests know it's raining and still waiting in the queue, they're prepared to get wet? I can see what you mean though.
-
I agree that some people do jump to slate Thorpe at every opportunity, but 8+ rides closed isn't a rare occurrence at the park anymore.
-
Chiapas runs in the rain, and I can say from experience rain doesn't ruin/affect the ride! A thunderstorm I agree is a reason to close rides, but rain? Sounds like another excuse.
-
I was about to comeback at you with "Hex?" but then I realised that's pre-Merlin
-
Yeah there used to be a great strobe, swinging blades and a nice sound effect as you hit the inside drop. Those few seconds of the ride were fantastic 6 years ago but now the inside section just feels a bit dead to be honest.
