A brief report from my visit yesterday: The park was quite busy, with [seemingly] a large majority of people staying up until closing time at 6pm. I wasn't able to get all of the major rides done. The day started with The Swarm labelled as 'closed', however it was shortly running again. Nemesis Inferno was closed for approximately 30 minutes in the morning due to 'cleaning'. Stealth had queues of 70 minutes at 5.15pm. The longest queue time was 2 hours for The Swarm at around midday. Colossus was exceptionally rough when I went on for the second time at the end of the day. It was also the first time I had ridden the Swarm, and I managed to ride the front row on the right hand side - it was amazing. Ride count: Colossus - x 2 Nemesis Inferno - x 2 X - x 1 Rumba Rapids - x 1 Tidal Wave - x 1 Loggers Leap - x 1 The Swarm - x 1 Depth Charge - x 1

The final drop on Loggers Leap is great, its a bit more interesting then just going straight down. Every time I go on a log flume like Loggers, Dragon Falls, The Flume etc, It seems that the smaller drops make my stomach "go" more than the big ones do ( if you know what I mean?, ha ha )

That is a lot of new rides, I cant see how some of them are going to fit . More rides, more refurbishment for the better though. Glad the entrance might be getting something done to it....other than a lick of paint. Lets hope some of it happens in the future.

I have about 18 on-ride photos, but I like my Thorpe Park skyline mug the best. You cant beat getting up and drinking coffee from a TP mug . I also bought some old Thorpe Park ranger figures from ebay.

Have any of you guys heard the "new" Hocus Pocus music, ICHESSINGTON WEBSITE.. CLICKY don't know if its new or not but its played on the Hocus Pocus game, and you can hear it playing with the advertisement on the Chessington Home page. What do you think of it, I like the beat. : D

Ok, thanks, I have never seen any saw films and dont know alot about it. I got in the que at 3 o'clock and got on at 4.30.

Yesterday the swinging blades where not working, (everything has a little chance of going wrong now and then). I was in the que for about 1 hour 30 mins, for my very first ride on saw, I also thought it was a bit weird how jigsaw is only in the ride right at the end as a little doll ( not very big ), apart from the video that not every one gets to see.

Dose anybody know the average que times at the moment, or could give us an idea to how long they have been recently?

yeah, over the hill has a false ending .......it seems real at first untill the ghosts jump up and scare you, ha ha.

biggest que was for rage at about 10 - 15 mins, the rest where walk on and 5 - 10 min ques.

CLICL HERE TO WATCH MY SOUTHEND VIDEO. Went to the park yesterday, went on rage for the first time, it was epic. Dragons Claw was very uncomfortable and isnt a ride I would rush to next time I go. Over The Hill was ok, the end part was the only bit that maade me jump. I think that if they do have Captain Rage Man and 'the gang' they should advertise the times in the park.

when I went to the pleasure beach last week I noticed that the rollercoaster was not working......I'm sure ive heard somewhere that they still keep it in check etc, but just dont run it?....I think its very dumb of pleasure beach to not have the rollercoaster working, espically if its still maintained.

What I mean is, how legoland have had 2/3 years running with new stuff added ( land of the vikings, pharos etc ) and I think legoland has a better atmosphere then chessington.Chessington is a good park aswell, but just has not had alot of investment in the recent years, and I think it could do with a bit of updating. I'm a fan of both parks.Sorry if I confused you, or didnt make sense, I meen its stupid to start an argument.

I'm sorry if I am being a pain, but when/ will the alton towers, chessington mania sites be working.I know this question was already asked some posts back by someone else but it just seems nothing is happening even though it might be. thanks.

it dosent matter if they get rid of it, as its in the plans anyway as Peaj said. Once the hotel is built on top of it they plan to build another big family rollercoaster to replace it, somewhere near knights Kingdom. The park has got a very bright future ahead of it ( sea life, hotel, more rides etc) and seems to be heading in a better direction that Chessington.....Will see what Chessington is doing later this year ( bubbleworks, beano etc)......(sorry for going a bit of topic).

I think it was just repainted and rethemed, and is still in the same area ( now cloud cuckoo land)its called gallopers carousel

I went to the london dungeons yesterday and the priority que (fast track) was longer than the noraml que....they rushed us along and it really spoiled the experiance, thay just played voices on the stereo instead of the actors and special effects..we had 10 secounds in the labaryinth and missed out about two scenes....the only good things where the x tremis drop ride to doom, this big flame that was right next to us (didnt make me jump :/ ) and when jack the ripper jumped up out of the dark and the lights flashed in the pub....the boat ride was ok...not much themeing just pitch black, and the boats had changed, the drop wasnt a drop......the xtremis drop ride to doom on ride photo was £7 for a single so I just bought the xtremis drop ride photo and the photo you pose for at the begining for 2 for a tenner.

I would say that the hotels are great espically splash landings, but then I think you have to pay extra for dinner etc (from what I remember from when I went four years ago) but if you want to save money then just book cheap outside the towers......as long as you sleep, its the park thats important.

dose anybody have a ruff idea where the nearest fastrack kiosk to the park entrance is as I am going to alton towers on 25 and 26 july
