I haven't really looked at any of these plans before, but I think it was mentioned a while ago that a box with a cross in it is a lift/drop? If so, in a SUSPENDED train carriage, I can see one direction the 'transit' could go...

Because they know some people won't be using it due to motion sickness/vision/preference/whatever, so why not cater for them too, as well as making the ride look more pleasing from the outside?

The VR is optional though, so for those without and those just watching from off-ride I'm sure bits of theming like this will improve the ride look and add a small bit of excitement and theme/story to what is otherwise a quite bland coaster. Also I believe this is by the first dip too which is the photo op at the moment, I don't know if that will still happen with the VR but it may be related? Who knows

I took Mitchada04 a month or two ago for his birthday, currently drafting a blog with a lot of pictures in it so people can have a look at that. We didn't do the train as it's very kid orientated and slow these days, also the park was on a very off peak day so a lot of stuff was closed! Just beware of the on site food outlet (can't remember the name of it) as I was served a jacket potato that still had mud on the outside of the skin... It is THE place to go for big cats though. Saw the cheetah talk and they were doing all kinds of tricks with it, and there was a white tiger (I've never seen one before!) that was quite incredible

Just to clarify when booking tickets,the disco we are booking in for is the Ice Xtreme on the Sunday nigh (as shown in the print screen below) not the disco that happens some Sunday afternoons You can see this screen if you filter to see just the ice skating events. The one we want is the one shown at the bottom here Hope this clears stuff up!

On another note, I've been playing the snare drum in my air cadets squadron's marching band for almost three years now, and I've recently discovered I've been selected for the national air cadet matching band this year!

Have seen it mentioned in a comment on Towers Times that Hex will only be opening with part time hours next season. Now I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere, and have asked the person for a source, but still... Is an interesting concept, as it would allow them to still so some 'TLC' work on it during the season, and gives them time to do more work than would normally happen while the park is open
