  1. It would be yes However, as I said before, it's still a while off so I'll have to wait and see!
  2. I've seen Stealth down quite a few times this season, hence why I haven't got on it as many times as say Saw or Inferno. Previous seasons however, it's mostly been very reliable with only short delays. The worst was when it broke down and me and a friend waited a good 30 minutes to see if they could fix before leaving. We walked through the tire onto the plaza... It reopened
  3. A friend of mine has experienced an different ending featuring the fire demon that was shown on The Travel Show. And about your other point Owen, I have been lucky enough to experience the Ghost Train 6 times, and not once have leg ticklers been present In those 6 times I have also never seen a single 'infected' actor/actress in the safe room. They're still holding a lot back from us, and clearly this ride is still not quite ready.
  4. http://www.simworx.co.uk/?portfolio=derren-browns-ghost-train-thorpe-park Derren Browns Ghost Train is a "Virtual Reality Advanced Dark Ride". This mini article from Simworx gives a little more information about the ride, and how it works. Some parts of this article are not quite accurate though. "..effects such as smoke, lighting, vibration, leg ticklers.." There are no leg ticklers. Nor is there any smoke on the train...
  5. But then Colossus at Thorpe is the oldest coaster there, at the queue is always longest on busy days... Back to Towers though, Nemesis has brilliant throughput and therefore the queue is reduced, whereas Rita's throughput isn't all that great, and therefore the queue is extended.
  6. October is three months away however I could probably go to this
  7. https://www.madametussauds.co.uk/london/en/latest-news/newest-wax-figures/the-sherlock-holmes-experience/ Surprised no-ones mentioned this here. The Sherlock Holmes Experience opened at Madame Tussuads just over two weeks ago. A show called "The Games Afoot" is also running until September 30th for six nights a week. Over 16's only for this one: www.thegamesafoot.co.uk
  8. I'm rather confused at the moment. Is Containment going to be an up-charge attraction this year or will it be included in admission?

    Rita

Vines? They look like huge, green twigs that have been stuck to a fence... But it's Rita, no one really cares At least we can be grateful it's not scaffolding though...
  10. When the ride broke down yesterday, a message did pop up saying 'Please remove your headsets' and a rather annoying voice kept repeating it over and over again through the headphones and through speakers on the train.
  11. I never liked Bubbleworks that much and I'm not sad that it's going. There. I said it. *prepares for the incoming wave of hate*
  12. I have been tapped by a member of staff on the shoulder to be told to take my headset off so they could do that and implement some noise cancelling headphones. Was on the first ride of the day today. Broke down for a good 20 minutes half way through the first section. And even when we continued, the safe room effects weren't working at all (a metal pole with two lights came roaring down the tunnel. No fog, no lights, no demon shadow) and the second section had no sound on the headsets whatsoever. They did let us stay on for a re-ride to make up for the lack of immersion, and it was better. Also got on a third run today when all was running very smoothly with hardly any problems.
  13. Ghost Train is now open after being closed all morning. It's on a 150 minute queue
  14. And this is why VR shouldn't be on this ride! And why VR just shouldn't be in the theme park industry. If the VR doesn't work, the whole ride can't open. However if say the theming was physical, and one feature was broken, the ride could still operate. I can see this becoming a major problem in the future of this ride operational life..
  15. I was told by a member of staff a few weeks back that the contract for both have been renewed for another two years. After that the contract is either going to be renewed again or a re-theme will happen (it will most likely be a zombie theme apparently). Of course because this is from a staff member it is not the most reliable source, however her story was very convincing. She also provided us with lots more information about the future of Thorpe, but that information is unrelated to the topic and therefore unnecessary

    Scarefest

It's either clowns or its "Chainsaw ALIVE" so I think we got the better option here.. This Freakshow scare zone certainly looks interesting. It certainly appeals a lot to me more than Skin Snatchers does. I wonder where it's going to go though? It won't be in the same place as Nox, and I can't think off the top of my head an ideal location for it.

    Scarefest

I'm very intrigued by this maze, as I am very hopefully that this will be a great maze like last years. The name is a bit naff. Skin Snatchers sounds like the name of a low budget 60's horror movie. The storyline is also strange, and not one I'd find that scary. 'Disfigured inbred hillbillies' taking people's skin is more shocking and disturbing than scary. Also, all the mazes have a strict 15+ age limit again. And after reading the story of this it's quite understandable..
  18. Still very confused as to why the doll was there as it had absolutely nothing to do with the story or theme whatsoever..
  19. Inferno is on a 100 minute wait, Stealth is closed, and even Rumba has a 30 minute wait. If my calculations are correct, it is very busy! And things aren't going so well operation wise.
  20. A small minority people may be annoyed as they aren't guaranteed a ticket to enter.
  21. https://www.thorpepark.com/summernight2016 Turnd out that this exclusive event is more of a competition. You have to enter your details and then you get a chance of winning tickets to the event. I guess this is to keep the event quiet like it used to be, although this is no doubt going to annoy quite a lot of people.
