  1. I honestly have no clue, I want it to be a surprise so avoiding any specifics.
  2. I wouldn't class saying advice given by staff who've ridden it as a spoiler personally (apologies if it is) - as I've still not got a clue what happens!
  3. I've heard its best to get right to the far side in the pre-show according to staff, although I'm not sure why or what happens.
  4. They also have an optional jacket and head wear. Something is better than nothing!
  5. I definitely see this being the new direction for Merlin, with Nemesis: Sub-Terra, The Smiler, IAC, Galactica and Ghost Train all having their own themed uniforms.
  6. Let's not have ANOTHER argument guys, it's really not needed
  7. Considering we don't know the context of the ride as of yet, who are we to say what's 'accurate' or not. I personally like these uniforms as you can see these are the semi - permanent type, so staff are able to remove aspects if they are needed desperately somewhere else. I can see staff solely based inside the attraction wearing clothing of a much higher detail!
  8. Looking at the new ramp covering, could this be a hint to the story? Maybe you will look under the rail road tracks? Along with this, a poster on the building has caught my eye - "keep the bad stuff underground". We know a large focus on this has a London Underground-esk look, so maybe it refers to this? Possibly we enter the train, but then are told to leave for some reason (maybe due to fracking releasing some sort of hideous gas?) however at this point we would be in a London underground looking place, meaning we are where the 'bad stuff' lurks? Just an idea - not long to wait now!
  9. Moving on, SouthParks member rjai1988 has posted the group photo available from the attraction. The photos available are 3D induvidual head in a jar photo for £15 3D effect group photo looking into the train carriage in a frame + 4 other digital photos with differing boarders (Thorpe Junction, Fortune Box, Ticket Booth and Looking Out A Train) for £12. The he queue line is also being cleaned top to bottom, opening in the next week just got a whole lot more likely!
  10. I know, but it shouldn't matter if you are or aren't an employee at Merlin entertainments. Addressing people online has to be incredibly carefully done as it can come across as being rude and purely there to cause arguments - which if I'm honest it comes across as in one or two of your posts, no matter if they are the most structured pieces of writing even typed or not. In regards to Merlin, I personally think they do a fantastic job with almost all their resorts, and I agree, they shouldn't be being bashed over a sign - it's perfectly fine to have an opinion, but surely that's just a little much when this is supposed to be an enthusiast forum? I don't know, maybe it would be best if this silly argument is put behind everyone!
  11. This is for the on ride photo service. In in regards to Insider - I believe Graeme is simply suggesting the way you are addressing people is coming over as quite rude, and so is saying if you were to work for the company (as some are suggesting) then you should be trying to word things a little nicer so to not offend anyone. The issue at hand is a tricky one, as good customer service should be expected and provided - but getting in a hissy fit over a sign is a little bit much. It's likely to alert guests on site, not to rub it in guests faces as some are suggesting...
  12. The park are probably doing staff tests day and night to put the ride through its paces - so everything is working and nothing will stop working suddenly. Considering the volume of vive headsets, it's quite hard to test them all efficiently - but with a staff member to each headset thats half the battle.
  13. People calm down. It's a sign that they put up to avoid people asking to go on - nothing more nothing less. There's really no need to argue with one another, we all have opinions. It's understandable people are getting agitated, but taking it out on each other won't help anyone. I suggest moving on from the sign to avoid further arguments.
  14. Oh yes definitely, however I'd expect they'd hold Derren's opinion highly considering it has his name on it, but as you say the final decision will be by Merlin Magic Making. I do hope they open during the week, as not only does it allow for the kinks to be knocked out before the weekend, but also allows for the park to be slightly quieter during its opening - helping staff get into it (and letting adults get on it without children around!)
  15. Personally, I see Derren 'signing the ride off' but more so in a way that he will ride it and say if it's ready to go tomorrow or Monday. I can then see an announcement being made after this confirmation has went through. Like Marc says, I don't believe they'd wait any longer to open the ride with Derren there - as at this point they really need to get it operational!
  16. Well this just took a negative turn! Shall we move on? Apparently there are various staff members gathered around the exit of the ride (near photos), it has not been confirmed if they are wearing themed attraction specific uniforms (which would hint at a soft opening today or tomorrow). Things are starting to heat up again, fingers crossed for an opening date soon!
  17. There was a large amount of confusion on social media, and so I suspect this is why they added this information to the sign.
  18. Derren is supposedly coming to sign the attraction off tomorrow, with soft openings being exclusive to hotel guests. Although this information cannot be 100% confirmed it comes from those working on the attraction. Staff are expressing how the attraction is "incredible" and "one of the best attractions they've ever ridden". This is very exciting indeed, hopefully the opening will be asap!
  19. The ride has been testing with staff members during the evening over the past week or so, yes. Fingers crossed itll it'll open soon!
  20. Staff are riding during the day - Credit to COASTERGUY264 on SouthParks and @BenApsey on Twitter respectively.
  21. Why must 'various employees' mean I am friends with them. As I say the one person I am friends with had stated they have had nothing of the sort - which is why I questioned its legitimacy in the first place. I do not have to trust random people and so I am not, as I can't be sure - there is no point arguing and acting in a rude and childish manner as its truely unnecessary. Returning to the subject matter in question, I am personally expecting a July opening, purely to save myself for disappointment (although I hope earlier as I'll be going to Alton Towers in July so I need some money haha). Although the delay is becoming increasingly more annoying, I am still very excited about the attraction - but I'm slightly concerned they have set expectations so high that many may be disappointed.. I hope this isn't the case.
  22. Like I say this image was posted in a Facebook group and had no link to the staff member in question. I have no connection to the staff member who posted the image as it was a public group - I hope that clears things up.
  23. I expected as much, it certainly looked a bit odd...
  24. Indeed, it certainly is odd. It should be added this was posted in a Facebook group and so it could just be another hoax to get people excited. On the other hand, unlike normally stating if it is a hoax or not, the resort have given the generic 'we are unaware' response to this information. Its just a waiting game from here on out.
  25. This has arisen, apparently it has been sent out to various team members. I am am slightly concerned about its legitimacy, however it has been confirmed by various employees. I also enquired about the ticketing service and received the response that this is "definitely will not be a ticketed service for the first few months". I am not sure about either of these statement, however they are intresting to say the least.
