The resort have only confirmed a single new maze will be joining this year. If anything more is to be added it was not being planned before hand - this isn't to say the existing mazes won't be revamped.

I'm still a bit concerned I'm not going to find this scary. What people need to remember, in the film industry especially, is that 'jumpy' doesn't necessarily mean scary. I've heard a fair few people say it wasn't scary at all, and so I have a feeling that the scenarios will differ in how intense they are...

The Victorian train is just a shell, which the ride vehicle you sit in goes inside - this is themed as an underground train so when you reach the live action segment you are seeing the actual ride vehicles exterior, not the Victorian shell.

The ride had a evac. It should be back in operation soon as those who were evacuated have been given priority passes to come back in around 15 minutes. Thorpe Park have confirmed that the technical rehearsals are showing the entire experience, and so the initial speculation of only parts of the attraction being shown is false.

The park have said that technical rehearsals are planned for the entire weekend.

Trouble is, you're at the weird point where half the forum have ridden it, half haven't so it's hard to make conversation about the ride at this point! Haha I personally haven't used good VR at all, so I'm a bit confused how a headset can make you feel so odd. I'm very excited to find out!

Oh my goodness. This is the exact thing that I was referring to the constant arguing. I do not like Chessington anymore for the reason Pluk stated. Thorpe on the other hand has vastly improved for me personally. Alton has deteriorated for me slightly, but not enough that idiot enjoy myself. The topic is to discuss Derren Brown's Ghost Train, not for why Merlin have ruined it since the good old days way back. There must be another topic where this can be discussed as personally it's getting increasingly annoying having to read one or two people bring up the fact that they don't personally like Merlin and then it creates a big argument that isn't needed. The ride is delayed, deal with that and wait until it's ready - I'm sure it won't run away anytime soon. Please can we move on now.

There's been proof of that with people complaining about them not giving any opening date on the previous page, my goodness people can we never be happy? I came to this forum in hopes of being able to discuss my home park with a wider audience who also love it as much as I, not to costantly read people whinging about the same thing out of what seems to be boredom. I've honestly questioned if this is a fan site or not with how people attitudes have been recently, it's just heartbreaking to see that something I believed to be somewhere I can express my excitement and speculate has been overrun by people complaining day in day out that a ride - that they didn't have before - is not yet open. Sorry for the rant but honestly it's getting to the point where it's just unnecessary.

It may have been running with riders but that's not to say it hadn't had a tonne of problems during this time period... On a positive note, apparently staff have been spotted in Ghost Train's baggage hold...could today be the day?

However, this is a theme park attraction, not a show or a one off. If the ride were to run on a timed service this would mean people would potentially miss out on experiencing it. I am open to the idea but I don't see the point when the ride would have been design to cater for a large audience.

I believe they are told to wait outside the attraction at a specific time, hence the large gathering of people in the image you see above. The ride is in operation for a select amount of time and then closes its gates. This allows for hotel and VIP guests to experience the attraction more than once if they desire. This also suggests that when the ride opens it will not be on a timed service.

According to those who rode it yesterday the timed ticketing service is no longer in place.

Personally I've only seen one bad rating, with others saying they'd rate it miles ahead of anything else in the UK. The attraction has been suffering from some issues with the VR not playing on time as well as other sections of the ride not working correctly, however when everything is working the ride is said to far exceed people's expectations. In regards to the VR, it's believed that the missing content is various of the alternate story lines and one of the two endings, but as I say this is speculation. I really doubt there will be scare actor in this attraction - as it's not that style of experience. We'll have to wait any see!

It is believed that the 'whole experience' not being shown refers to some VR sequences currently not being shown, however no one can confirm this obviously so take it with a pinch of salt!

Back to this again haha? A ride being ready and a ride being safe are different things. In order to keep riders safe they'd need to test any large mechanical devices a great deal. Now riders are going on, we know it's safe, and now they have given feedback the park may need to correct things, meaning it may not be ready. I can see them fixing little niggles, sorting out timings - as this is extremely important within Ghost Train and then we will see an opening. Sorry if that's a little confusing! It's incredibly annoying, trust me I've had to cancel many visits, however now I see July 1st - 3rd being an opening and of course I'll be down as soon as possible!

The tower was a seperate building the the attraction building.

Maybe referring to the on ride photos? they are rather small... In regards to the tower, I wouldn't be shocked if Nitrogenie is currently testing to see if it's popular, to then be installed into the tower for next year permanently? I know it's a long shot but as we know, this wouldn't be the first time they've added theming a year into operation...

RMC certainly like setting their coasters on fire don't they... From Parks and coasters worldwide. Its believed the launch/rollback system became too hot and set the coaster on fire. Always what you want on a wooden coaster - evidentially no one made the connection that metal gets hot when charged with electricity...

I must've caught Witch on a good day last year because it was absolute brilliant! There wasn't one group that stayed together one group of girls were split by one of them being chased to the end of the attraction - boy did she look freaked. I feel if this standard is kept every year it'll be a good year for FN's, we'll just have to wait and see...
